Thank you Heidi for sharing this video with us. I used to hunt in Texas allot. Well five years ago they amputated my right foot and amputated all my toes on my left foot. Due to Diabetes. But watching this video you should see the smile in my face. It brought me back memories of when I was at my blind always. I do miss it allot. Thank you Heidi love you. God bless you always and Elo.

Don’t be afraid to make different hunting spots on the property, depending on the weather and wind it’s practical so have different spots. And if the farmers don’t cut their crop the bucks tend to stay there.I know it’s frustrating at times but this will make you an expert hunter. I find these hard season make valuable lessons. There’s always next year. Good luck

Crikey people can go a whole season without seeing a deer, not to mention a buck, and yet half a sleep lookin out of your window you see three. Then a good sized buck, then a second one, man beautiful location. Loved the old newspaper wallpaper, it's a good use of them.

I gave up on the "war paint" back in the '90's. I wear a mesh camo hood. Very effective. Finished with Thanksgiving dinner about an hour ago. I'm reminded of the Johnny Cash song, "I hurt myself today"! I shot 2 deer last week, a buck and a doe, and I'll be processing deer tomorrow. I already processed 8 deer hocks for deer jerky. Most people throw those away. But there's good jerky meat there. I try not to waste any meat. Yes, it's time consuming and generally a pain in the neck. But, the effort is worth it.

Hi Heidi, You put a big smile on my face after being them still excited from seeing those bucks. I could hear you breathing hard when trying to stock them. Very funny in a good way! I haven't hunted dear in years living in Idaho I hunt for elk. Thats not to say if a really nice buck comes my way I will take him. This happened to me two years past, ti was a 4 point, you would call him an 8 point back east, lol. It always happens that you come across the nice ones when you are separated from your weapon. Good luck, I hope you take him or another bigger. A fan of yours!

Focus on your first passion. Making your lures. They are good, find a way to produce more at low cost but quality at its best. It's big money in that field. Try. Metal casting tins too. Also, Buzz baits. They are deadly for huge bass, try them, and come out with some.

Let's just roam around the house and drive the humans crazy"!!! 🤣😂. I'm sure as the rut gets closer the more you'll see Bob and his buddies more often. Better get you a little wind puffer and check your wind before trying to stalk, your wind probably going straight up the hill to them. Wind will always be predominantly out of the NW to NNW, those buck's smelled you before they seen you.
Also the wind down low close to the farm house will mostly be swirling around, which makes it hard to hunt! Check out those big mountains behind your shop and figure out which finger's go all the way to the top, that's where you'll kill your big boy poppa buck at, I promise theirs way bigger buck's on top running those saddles and finger's that connect to the main mountain! Hope this helps we have mountains here in Western Arkansas just like that, if want a good wind get on top, I'd guess about 600-700 yard's to the top! Good luck Heidi you got this!
Btw if you're worried about getting lost Garmin 64st is one of the better handhelds with topo out there! It automatically tracks on the screen and you can follow your own track if you don't have any waypoints yet.🦌🦌🦌💥💥💥💥🇺🇲🎣🏹
