Catching this series a few years late and it's still relevant. Really looking forward to seeing what other shops I can pop into (Queensland) to save a bit as I set up my first few racks
Love these 10 tens from non specialist aquarium stores. Keep up the great work! Would like to see a top 10 from a plant nursery. They usually have some decent hardscape, substrate and filtration media options.
I love the container idea for the plants! Great minds think alike because I have actually been using stainless steel straws to feed my plecos for a while now 😁and recently I found a pack of cheap shish kabob skewers 💡 making sure is to the point into the substrate! I like the DIY filter idea with the little plastic drawers 👍 I really love the refrigerator trays Dean is just amazing!. We have a store here now called "five below" of course it's like a Dollar tree or a store like that, but it has a little bit more selection and I think there would be some neat stuff in there!!! Thank You Blake for another rape video always great inspiration get you thinking outside of the box! I hope you and your family is having a very blessed day and thank you for sharing! 👍🌿🐟🌿💚🙏
I get cheap plastic takeaway containers from there that I use for plant propagation & sales. Here’s an idea Blake, top 10 aquarium items from ‘Wish’. 😉
I live in regional NSW and in town there is a shop called bargain base. It has a little sections for a few different animal including fish/aquarium. I find some good items there like filter wool or 35l bowls. Those bowls have probably causes a lot of goldfish deaths but would be good for aquascaping!

Love those kind of stores 👍👍
I've done that plenty. Drive for miles up the motorway sweating brining fish home. Always forget to take my hoodie off first too. 🤣
Lol so true
Got to be something useful in Spotlight, thinking 🧐maybe acrylic yarn, acrylic filter wool, etc, etc..
Good idea!
Have 100% used acrylic wadding in a filter. Worked well but don’t pack it too tight or the flow slows too much!
Are there any uncommon/ rare fish that are beginner safe
Medaka ricefish, striatum killifish, lots of the L plecos 👍
"...I'm a crazy person who drives up to 3hrs to go to a fish store..." You mean a normal fishkeeper? ;)
Thats the one lol
