@@amigarcia1959 , I hope you are well at this time. I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I love talking to people. I am 70 years old and I spend most of my time on You Tube.
The beautiful aspect of this video, is it reveals how white artists, considered it an enormous privilege to perform with the amazing African American artists evolving with the new, very exciting Soul Genre., in the 70s. It's not a competition - it's a very courageous, expression of respect. AND WILSON LOVED IT!!!!! A fabulous video.
So much fun to watch. It's different, alright, and being that I love all the BeeGee's, especially Robin, what a treat. (He dances so funny), They all look and sound so great!! There isn't music like this any more. I miss it. Wilson Picket is the best.
Great video. Wilson Pickett is supernatural. I love how Wilson gestures to each of the other brothers to sing a verse at the beginning, and they both are like, "No, thank you."
Freaking classic, freaking awesome. Wilson was the Man. Bee Gees did it, no doubt. This is gold. Look at the crowd. These guys were the sheezie back then. Dude, Wilson breaks it off toward the end, and brings it like no other. Listen to him. You can't deny that energy. They looked like they had a great time. Gold. Treasure. Classic.
Omg I would have love to attended this show it looked so much fun! Wilson had so much soul in his voice and I love The Bee Gees. Barry sound so good singing he did a great job and I love watching robin dance at least he is brave enough to actually get up on stage and dance. The ending had me cracking up when they all caught the Holy spirit and passed out on stage 🤣🤣 robin was like hell no no I will take a bow instead which was also nice. Thanks for posting!
Maurice cracks me up the most because he barely even sang! He just giggled and danced like hell and kept checking to see if his brothers were OK up there!! 🤣 But then the first one to faint was Maurice. Even before Wilson. Down he went. 😂😂😂

@@Kget2knowme Yes!! And I adore them all. They are legends. And it’s kind of disheartening to see the people on here criticizing and rating this performance like it’s a competition. Those people probably have no idea that these three are some of the only blue eyed soul artists to always pay *full* deference and reverence to the black artists who inspired them. When they were all of seven and eight years old there they are onstage performing and taking pics with the biggest black harmonizing groups in the world. I grew up listening to the sounds of Wilson Pickett, Jerry Butler, Otis Redding, Johnny Taylor, the real old soulful sounds. Soul Brothers and Sister: Can we still sing like that or has something happened in the air. But the Bee Gee got a lot of play in soulville also (or where I grew up in San Francisco Fillmore District) so this is all the way good!!!!
Any doubt why Barry was lead singer? Wow he could sing and dance with Wilson Pickett. Great performance by Barry. So handsome too. Those legs and flowing hair. No wonder he was irresistible to the ladies, they said.

For you youngins out there - This performance was on a show called "The Midnight Special" in 1973. The man at the very end was a well-loved, nationally known disc jockey named Wolfman Jack. And this was not a soul competition, this was a performance by two musical geniuses, Barry Gibb and Wilson Pickett. Whoever thought of putting these two on the same stage performing this song was a genius too. Wilson and Barry do a way better job on this song than the Beatles ever did. And to those who are ragging on Barry's singing, that man has more soul and heart in his little finger than YOU will ever have.
