You should do a whole series on drugstore products that are most similar to high end since that’s ALWAYS what savvy shoppers are looking for. Beauty influencers just compare packaging and stuff and how they feel it replicates another, not really the ingredients and science behind it like you do. I like most people wanna know true dupes not package “dupes.”
Agreed!!! Drives me nuts when people are like OMG I FOUND A DUPE - just packaging being similar, or even exact, is not a dupe! Like they’ll even swatch it next to each other and the shades are completely different and they still say they’re dupes. Like what?! 🤦♀️ It takes more than just packaging to make a dupe…in fact, I don’t even care if the packaging is even remotely similar. I just want it to perform the same!
@@onewhisper22005 they do that a lot too😂 That just means they use the same manufacturer of packaging, not necessarily or even usually for the products.
I'm so mindblown on how you use terminologies that are not even common to an average person and yet you are able to deliver the messages that you wanted to convey. I'm so thrilled that I discovered you ladies. As I've mentioned in one of your videos, every video is an educational moment. 💯
I stay away from ‘clean’ because I want my products to have preservatives. The Tarte Shape Tape Creamy and the NARS concealers are two I need to try. These videos are so educational! Learning about makeup makes me so happy.
I really enjoy the Creamy Shape Tape under my eyes, but it definitely doesn't work as well around my nose or on breakouts - clings to dry patches, but I get that from almost all products so it isn't a diss. The ONLY base product that hasn't clung to those patches is the About Face Performer foundation.
The use of the word “clean”, in any context, gives me the ick because it implies that the other option is “dirty”. I especially hate it in the context of food!
@@thelipsticklesbians I was SO excited (and late to the game) to find out about Matria but it says the page cannot be found? Is that an issue that's being resolved or does the site no longer exist??

Huda is my holy grail, I work 12-15 hour shifts in an OR with some hardcore lights on my face with zero posibility of touch ups. Not only does it cover even the people I dislike, it lasts very long but when it does't it wears down gracefully, the born this way, shape tape and can't stop look insane when they start breaking apart, at the end of the day I can blot huda, smudge with my finger and it still looks fine with any other I have to remove it all!
Id actually love to see you take a look at the maybelline superstay concealer. There’s something about that product that is very witchcrafty to me about its lay down and finish for what it is. I went into it hating it and then i suddenly realized i was using it daily and its my staple now.
Kosas is the winner for me. Hands down the best concealer I’ve tried for my dark and puffy under eyes. I also thinks it looks better on you in this video compared to the Flower Beauty. Maybe it’s the lighting but the Flower Beauty side looks like it enhances the darkness of the under eye because it’s too glowy. Whereas the Kosas looks like it seamlessly improves the under eye area.
For me, mature skin with dark purple undereye circles, haus labs and one size are the only ones that give enough coverage and don't crease or exaggerate lines on me. Using eyeshadow primer under concealer really helps
@@simplyme8593 Make sure you don't get a super matte one. The old version of Too Faced shadow insurance used to be perfect. But they changed the formula and packaging. So currently on the hunt for a new one for when my current old style too faced one runs out. Have tried the hourglass one so far. Too matte and drying
I'm 55 y.o. WOC with some under eye fine lines: Milani, e.l.f. hydrating, NYX Bare With Me are my favorites in the drugstore. ABH, SAIE and Kosas at Sephora work for me 😉
Ooo I’ve been wanting to try the NYX Bear With Me but I wasn’t sure about the texture or finish. Is it a more dewy or natural finish? Do you set it with a little powder? Thank you☺️
Would you be open to doing some product reviews or highlights of old/OG brands from the 90's and 2000s? I'm a millennial and been feeling nostalgic with my makeup, I've been reaching for those older, often forgotten brands but don't see them get a lot of love on social media or with influencers ☹---I'd love to see product such as Estée Lauder, Revlon, Clinique, MAC..etc.?? I always appreciate your wealth of knowledge and expertise! Love you guys! 😍🥰😘😇
I wanted to love the Huda concealer but, for me, it showed every single teenie tiny fine line under my eyes. I may need to try that Nars! My current go to is still Haus Labs. ❤
Am I the only one who wears concealer UNDER foundation? I barely wear it at all bc I’m 41 & it’s just too much on my skin, but when I do I wear it under.
i think thats a thing of people around your age/of your generation (not to be disrespectful) because my mom and her twin are 42 and they both wear concealer under their foundation
No, I typically apply concealer first. Love the Flower Get Real, Nyx Can’t Stop, and I’m also really liking the Revlon newbies Flex which is a dupe for the Lancôme Teint Ultra Wear All Over concealer and Revlons 5 in 1, but Maybelline Age Rewind is by far the best for every single age, darkness, skin type because of how undetectable it is while providing buildable coverage. An underrated one is Physicians Formula Instaready concealer, an alternative for the amazing discontinued BH Cosmetic Pro Studio concealer.
For reference, almost 47 - I have always applied a thinner 1-2 shades lighter concealer on top of the foundation under the eyes. Emulation in the concealer and less is best is what I found to work best with aging skin😊
Hardest choice with minimum budget!! Need to choose one or two.. but keep hearing various recommendations. Hourglass, hay’s labs, Lancôme teinte idol, Hada, Natasha Denona?!! Which is the best for mature under eyes with dark circles?!! Thank you for narrowing down the choices
I live in the south and alot of foundations and concealers separate and settle in my fine lines and bags throughout the day. Do you have any suggestions? I'm also a medium tones person of color with neutral and some yellow and red undertones and some dark undereye circles and blemishes.
AHHH HA!! I FOUND YOU LADIES DOING LONGFORM CONTENT YAYY!!! Question. Ive been looking to find water-based concealer or at least very little oil or silicone and ive found a few all except for color correcting concealers. Are there any water-based color correcting concealers to find?? Lol.. Thx so much for sharing ladies !
I never needed a pro's information to know that the Nars, the Elf and the new Flower Beauty concealers are the best on my skin. While the Maybelline, the Kosas, and the Huda Beauty concealers are just plain awful. Thanks for the video!
Anisa Makeup Brushes. I have a couple of sets and they are amazing! Use a code to save some money though. I can’t find Christina’s code. I used Marlena Stell’s code when I bought mine. These brushes are phenomenal!
The kosas/nars side undereye doesn’t have the dark circle like the other eye. Gave you been resting out an eye cream? Or do you sleep on your side that has a bit of a crease? Just wondering why as I have the same thing
This might be a silly question, but if I can't drink or eat caffeine because it causes migraines (even chocolate 😭), is there a risk of using concealer with caffeine?
Ur eyebags r kinda like mine. Its not discoloration its more a puffy pocket that is so hard to really cover I even go in with a white eyeliner n run it along the edges of the bag to hide. Nothing hides the "bag". Yo
