The greenhouse looks great! When I planted carrots this year I used cardboard. Three weeks later I was starting to think that they weren't coming up but they finally did and I had the best germination rate I've ever had with carrots.
This was a really cool video 😎 I love how you have everything set up. So cute and cozy 🥰 I’m waiting on my order from growers solutions. I’m going to order some things you have shown here. Thanks for sharing this with us ❤️
Ha ha ha! Getting excited about doormats is only the beginning of knowing you're old by the seemingly mundane things in life that excite you. I think it's actually a pretty beautiful place to be! Your greenhouse and garden are beautiful!
Looking forward to results of germination and growth of the okra seeds planted in garden bed. Custom design of the garden beds for your comfort ensure that you will be out gardening throughout the seasons. 😊
Guuurrrllll. Fellow coastal MA 6b gardener here 🤗 & I’ve had the *exact* issues with my okra seeds too! Some of them would also come up a beautiful YELLOW yet look so healthy, only to wither later. I’m convinced it has something to do with the soil & (lack of) humidity. Found a solution though. I’ve started them in moist paper towels or capillary mats in tupperware; placed somewhere warm. Checked on them in 3 days & then let them grow for another 5 days. Some of the seeds were compromised by fungi, but others sprouted without issue. Gently removed them & planted them in their individual soil cells. Now they’re actually growing up green! Hope that helps. Best way to germ okra I think!! Your greenhouse looks amazing btw!
Ohhh thanks Tiffany I will give this a try! I’m determined to make some homegrown fried okra this summer. It’s the first thing I get any time I travel down south.
One trick I learned when the seed caps get stuck on and don’t fall off is that you can use enzymes in your saliva to gently break them down and slide them off. I just put some on my fingers and coat the seed (usually twice) and then I am normally able to slide it right off. I really didn’t believe it would work until I tried it and now it’s my go to. Hopefully I explained that ok and it helps!
@@thecottagepeach I see what you mean. Some of those really hard seeds it doesn’t work great unfort. All I’ve found of help with those types is pre-soaking overnight or some of them you can file with a nail file before planting. P.S. Everything looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it flourish! 💕
Greenhouse looks great. You should have plenty of Tomato’s this year. I planted eggplants after summer and have got 14 so far off 4 plants. They are huge.
Thanks, now I just need to find room for the other three tomatoes I wasn’t planning on 🤣 and I still want to grab a fairy tale eggplant if I can find one
If you swapped the 3 epic gardening beds with the fire pit and put the fire pit in front of green house it would make it more aesthetically pleasing and cosy. It’s better feng shui.
We did try that when we were setting up. It kind of messed with the flow coming down the deck steps from the kitchen since we cook a lot on the fire pit and you would have to weave through the beds to get to the fire
@thecottagepeach oh great! So many YT gardeners are in warmer zones. I was in 6B but the update moved me onto 7A this year here in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Thank you! I’m glad to hear the cardboard should do the trick

Love the greenhouse! It will be really fun to see the evolution of how you use the space. Well done with the green floors. 💚
Thanks Nikki! Green is always a good idea right 😅

Thank you! It makes me so happy seeing everything turning green again :)
What a beautiful greenhouse! Love that it’s a place you can work and hangout too!
Thank you! I still can't believe it's all mine :)
Nice variety, do you have Carolina reaper or ghost pepper? Very nice set up!
Thanks! To be honest I’m not much of hot pepper person, I love a jalapeño but I’m pushing it even with the cayenne 🤣
@thecottagepeach No worries, you tend a bountiful!

Thanks! I’ve done that with leeks/scallions but it didn’t work for these

The cardboard definitely works for carrots.
Oh good! Was hoping someone could speak to this

@ ah ok I see!!
What is the brand of the grow bags?
I just added a link to these exact grow bags in the description for ya 😉
What region/zone do you garden in?
I’m in zone 6b!

@@BrickTop06 I've noticed the same, trying to bring some representation for us northern gardeners

Gentle feedback, the music in the middle is a bit loud for me to be able to clearly hear you
Having issues with the levels sorry! Working on it
Should be fixed now, thanks for the heads up!
