Speaking of outside forces and wearing helmets, I was off-roading through a state park and a car was coming into the state park parking area and they ran the stop sign where the trails are and I either could smash into the SUV going 25 mph or hit the brakes and get thrown off. I opted to hit the brakes and I got thrown off and the only thing that saved my life was a helmet. My backpack was completely ripped, my helmet was pretty wrecked and I learned that I should wear pads because my arms and legs looked like ground beef after hitting the concrete at that speed. As soon as the car realized what happened, they turned around and left. I didn't break anything but I've been going to physical therapy for weeks now. Always wear a helmet guys.

Hey Ronnie, when i ride at night i always turn on the flashlight feature on my apple watch, it's so usefull, i can wave at cars to signal that i'm turning etc....etc

i use Burton snowboard backpack. Its great because its ment for holding snowboards so straps are further apart
Dude you missed raccoons. I’ve seen a guy crash cause he ran into a raccoon on the bike path in Prospect Park, (nyc). Haha. It was insane. Imagine a raccoon in the middle of a pack of skaters going full speed. 😱
I think a helmet is a solid idea, but a full face helmet is a bit much. New riders should have wrist guards for sure, in skating that is the number one part of your body that takes the impact, due to trying to catch yourself.. Spare belts yes 100% I broke a belt and had to get a ride because I didn't bring any extra..lol. lesson learned... Thanks for sharing Ronnie.. I have a Thinktank backpack for all my gear and its a awesome backpack.. Give them a look... Keep the vlogs coming, unlike me I have been slacking..

Hi wld u buy a boosted v2 with a dead battery. I came accross one for $300 in mint condition..shld I but it and buy a new battery for it for $299? And possibly HV a boosted board for $600.?? Please TV me ur imput.

Most new riders don't think of needing to have helmet and thinking it's okay. I disagree. Helmet is 100% must. Always.

I had a really expensive sk8 tool with a rachet on it, i went to the skatepark and left it on the side because i didnt want to fall with it in my pocket and someone stole it.
My Inboard came with a travel bag, skate tool and built-in lights. I picked up a sweet helmet from Thousand. Now I need to order a Deck Hook, though I can’t imagine carrying a 16lbs board on my back along with whatever else I am carrying that day.
Sounds like you got an AWESOME set up! I say just try to minimize the amount of time you've got it hooked to your bag. After all, were supposed to be riding the boards :)

I've seen a helmet called Reevu Mx1 that uses a 5 mirror periscope inside the helmet to see behind you. But I was hoping for something cheaper and easier.

Hey, I just stumbled across this video and because of curiosity I watched. I've been a long boarder for a decade, and like you, I had the same problem with the backpack issue years back. I came up with a solution that I have never seen anyone on the internet or in person come up with. Problem with a longboard is when you strap it in to a normal skate pack it hangs way down and hits your lower leg. What I came up with is awesome and works fantastic with my boosted. I took an 18 liter snowboard backpack, equipped to carry a snowboard. They're designed to carry a board between the bindings. Problem with a longboard though is it sags too low. 99% of snowboard packs have metal rivets in the bottom to allow for moisture to to drain.
So, I took a piece of 1/4" pvc, approximately 8 inches and attached a metal hook to it and ran it through the rivet at the bottom of the pack, to spread the load and not tear though. On that hook I attached a fabric loop with a buckle clip so I could remove it when not in use.
So when I strap my board to the pack, I can take the loop and hook it under the tail of my board to keep it centered on my back, using the straps to keep it close to my body. When you add in the waist and chest straps already on the pack, it is very secure. Could do backflips on a trampoline no problem.
If you want more info I'll send pics. Just want to help out fellow shredders. Seems like such a common issue

@@RonnieSarmiento I found a bag for like $70 bucks on Amazon that holds your board has 2 shldr straps and can hold a whole bunch of equiptment. If u want I'll send the link my bro got it and I like it much better then boosted. Fits battery's, tools cam equipment, etc...

Evolve Skateboards do a great backpack, they are specifically designed to suit their own brand electric skateboard. I personally have one and I believe it is awesome because it has insulted spots for drink bottles and a special spot purely for your board to be strapped in in 3 spots where it won’t slip down at all!
