This allegedly "small" startup is a joint venture of Volvo and Geely, which both aren't small at all. There is financial power as well as a lot of knowledge. This is no "small startup". ;)

I wouldn't be so sure it's a "joint venture" as Volvo and Polestar have a long running history (as a sports mdification company. Much like AMG is to B.M.W.) and to my understanding, Volvo withdrew the full partenership with Geele semi-recently (over Geeles desire to have some part in Polestar, if I'm not mistaken ... which I could be... (feel free to throw out some proof of my misunderstanding).

    1) Great concept car w potential future exterior/interior design elements
    2) Exterior & interior looks great except for the lg screen very crudely attached without much thought into integrating it into dash.
    3) Yes, the glass roof looks nice and allows a lot of light in. But I question how strong the roof is with no b-pillar, or c-pillar or roof beams. Great for a show car, but not practical for production.

Polestar makes something around the price of a Model 3, only with a seriously luxurious interior, *far* better quality control and Volvo's trusty safety feautures.
They also make a car that's faster than a Continental GT (GT does 4.3 sec but Polestar 3.7 sec to 60) but around 60 000 pounds cheaper and incredibly rare. Also looks *a lot* better imo.

Rear doors that open backwards have occasionally been used in the past. They came to be known as suicide doors. The reason is that passengers exiting the rear seat would fully open the rear door, step out of the car, and then a car passing the vehicle would hit the rear door slamming it shut, and cutting off the legs of the passenger. Sometimes it's wise to remember lessons learned in the past.

You put them all next to each other and they simply don't stand out much. Maybe that was the intention, who knows but I can definitely agree with you that THIS is how you turn heads. Volvo (the automotive division) is 82% owned by Geely. Polestar is 49.5% owned by Volvo. But it gets more complicated than that. AB Volvo (the heavy equipment and truck division) is still a Swedish company but it owns the Mack Truck brand which most people would think was American and the Renault Truck brand which most people would think of as French. These days it almost takes an episode of "Finding Your Roots" with Henry Louis Gates to figure out the nationality of some brands.

Polestar leading the way in EV design! I'm so sick of every other car coming out being an SUV without SUV capabilities, just because that's the easy way to fit the batteries in! Battery technology isn't anywhere near where it needs to be and to be truly environmentally friendly, we need to put more investment into tech such as carbon electrode so we can ditch the Li-Ion batteries. Although I like the idea of Hydrogen cell, it isn't the solution.

I'm curious about rear view visibility... Could obviously be just my vantage point but doesn't seem like there's a lot of visibility coming from the end of that sunroof lol

I love that so many cars are coming with panoramic glass roofs, this is an absolute must have IMO.. makes the cabin such a nice place to be and gives the cars a sporty look on the exterior

Or have dogs and you don't want it warmer. Oh, I forgot. EV's are not meant for having dogs. :D

Thankyou ROAR-y... You make EV's actually interesting for my fossil-fueled mind...

I actually do really like the idea of companies making Premium quality auto parts out of garbage, especially if it is noticably more lightweight.
      One man's trash...

It is a super car, not sure if an average buyer could even afford this, but surely so, this is so much prettier than a Ferrari or Tesla or even Porche
