I am 63 years old and I have been a boxing fan since I was a very young boy. I have learned, in that time, that it is always folly to attempt to predict the outcome of two elite level fighters fighting for such a high prize as " unified champion ". They will both have prepared themselves physically and mentally to be the best versions of themselves they can possibly be. Each of them has strengths and weaknesses over their opponent. It will simply come down to who is the better on the night. I really believe this one is a true 50/50 fight and hugely difficult to call. If pushed, I think Tyson Fury just has the edge but I would not be overly confident as Usyk is an incredible boxer. It is definitely an intriguing match up. I hope for a great fight and I wish both men well.
I love Joe Egan but I disagree with what he is saying about USYK wen he fought chisora he been out the ring over 2 years he was never in trouble against bellew he was just using his ring craft to get the knockout. He is a generational talent it will be Tyson fury’s hardest fight bar none and sadly I think USYK wins but hope I’m wrong
Schwarz was an exhibition fight for Fury. A showpiece for the American market as he'd just signed a multi fight deal with ESPN (if I remember rightly). Outside of Seferi and Pianetta, Schwarz is the lowest level opponent Fury has volunteered to face.
A lot is said about fury beating wilder. How good do we actually think wilder is, after seeing the parker fight? He has been behind in a lot of fights and saved himself with a KO.. time will tell…
Wilder's never been a great boxer, but the Wilder Fury fought was a very different beast to the Wilder Parker fought. 2013-2019 Wilder was always a handful because of his power, speed and athleticism. In the Parker fight, Wilder was old and very ring rusty and had none of his speed and athleticism left. Wilder was so slow compared to how he was 6 years ago. Father time always catches up with fighters especially ones pushing 40 who are entirely reliant on their speed, power and athleticism like Wilder. I can't see how Wilder beats Zhang unless he manages to land that right repeatedly.
Uysk has had twice as many fights as Bellew and has fought FAR more dangerous opposition - Beterbiev, Joyce, Joshua, Dubois. The idea that a younger Bellew would beat Uysk is for the birds. Uysk played possum in rounds 1-4 to lull Bellew into a false sense of security. He then started to turn the screw. Bellew walked onto a straight left. Uysk never left third gear. The Chisora that fought Uysk was the best Chisora we will see. He made the fight look competitive, but Uysk deliberately underperformed to get a shot at Joshua. Joshua took the bait. The idea that Tom Schwarz represents a scalp of some kind is absurd. Look at his CV. It's stacked with cab drivers and tomato cans. Now look at Fury's CV. He has two good names on it: Klitchko and Wilder. He ducked the Klitschko rematch because he knew he couldn't pull the wool over his eyes twice and he had three wars with Wilder, which became progressively less skillful and more damaging each time. The final Wilder fight looked like two men swinging for the rafters in a pub car park. It wasn't a heavyweight title fight. It was an embarassment to the sport. Now look at Uysk's CV. It's flawless. He won everything you can win as an amateur (and unlike Joshua, didn't benefit from any home town officiating in the Olympics) and everything you can as a pro. He cleaned out a STACKED cruiserweight division and became undisputed in 16 pro fights. He is an all-time great. Fury is a giant fat man who looks good because he fights flat-footed bruisers who think a slip is something you do when you fall over. There is no comparison between the two. The only thing that makes this competitive is the extra three stone that Fury will be carrying.
fully agree the new coach of AJ said joshua body size should not be make him be a boxer he should just ran over uysik just like chisora did. dub joshua thinks he can outbox the boxer. tyson fury should ran over uysik just lke chisora did to win the fight and not try to boxed usik just like joshua did otherwise he will lose.
Bro change your background you blend in with the wall and it looks like it’s being filmed in the 90’s when the camera is on you 🤣🤣🤣 anyone else notice that?
It is ridiculous to always hear this” any fight Tyson performed badly you would say Tyson didn’t prepare well. I really can’t comprehend the logic behind your opinion.
Correct absolute nonsense fury was 254lbs his lightest since 2015 vs wallin. Wallin was a tricky southpaw with great movement. Fury cannot land combinations on slick fighter due to his biomechanics high centre of gravity and lack of hip rotation in his waist. Against " walking heavy bags chisora and whyte or wilder devoid of boxing skills no problem.
@Inmyownleague it's not nonsense at all. It's the same as Manchester United getting up for Liverpool game then losing to Burnley. Same principle where people tend to take it easy when they think its a lesser challenge. Same with Joshua v Ruiz
@mickeypearce244 ruiz had a fight with 6'7 dimitrenko, had 10 days off before resuming traing with the same big sized sparring partners for 4 week camp. He spent 11 of the previous 14 weeks sparring men aj's size so was better prepared than aj. Fury was more prepared than ngannou and every other fight. Ngannou's knockdown was a well timed counter punch. Fury never had the knowledge of what ngannou could do well whereas ngannou has seen fury's fights.
I could listen to Big Joe read audio books or do commentary for hours. Can't believe Disney hasn't offered him to do some characters or voice over work.😂
@@tullochgorum6323 Regardless the point stands that Usyk can fight and win wars if he has to. Look at the Dubois fight: after the low blow Usyk pressed the action and battered Dubois
To say " only a fit" tyson fury beats usyk is a copout and sounds like a fanboy looking to get their excuses in early in case fury loses. Let's not forget usyk is the older man out of the two by two (2) years. Also fury is the more active fighter with his last bout being 7 months ago, usyk's being 9.
Theres no easy way to beat usyk, in the 2nd fight joshua did jump on usyk in the 9th round but was punished ten fold for it in the 10th. I believe usyk is the complete boxer and leagues above fury. My prediction is usyk is about to deliver furys long over due karma come fight night and finally rid boxing from this cancer.
Bloody well said. The guys a menace. Arrogant, cheater, braggart, ducker, greedy, fake, dirty, favoured by refs & judges his whole career somehow, likely because the Fury’s are so precious and demand this and that of officials before fights happen ‘or you’ll never work with us again’ I am praying to god that Usyk wins. The man is a gentleman, pure class, great guy, and he’s doing it for his late father- that’s a HUGE thing that many have overlooked- to fight for a goal for your late parent, is a massive motivator. Remember, with that extreme motive, Buster Douglas beat the ‘unbeatable’ Mike Tyson for his late mother. Usyks determination and WILL will not waver, no matter what. He will not stop working until he wins that fight. Nothing will stop him achieving it. He has to- it’s for his dad. Everyone has heard the story of how Usyk won the Olympic gold while his dad was dying in hospital, and didn’t live long enough to show his dad the medal, but no one has remembered that Douglas had the very same goal- to win for a late parent. I swear, if Usyk doesn’t win there’s no justice in this world.
I have always thought the same about usyk, he is a straight down the middle guy and really deserves to win this title, fury has some kind of hold on boxing and it doesnt seem genuine. You are right though, if fury wins this there is no justice in the world. There has to be a point where fury receives karma and theres nobody more fitting than usyk to deliver it. A loss would probably destroy fury mentally after his "theres no man born from his mother can beat me" cliche. The man is a jealous envious hateful human being who needs to be taught a lesson
It’s no secret how Fury ‘got up’ against Wilder. That ref had been TOLD by the Fury’s most likely that NO MATTER WHAT if Fury went down, he was to get a COUNT. Even if he was unconscious. It won’t come back on the ref etc. and that’s exactly what we saw. A LONG COUNT and a ref giving every chance in the world for a fighter to get up. How many other pro boxers can only dream of such treatment? Any other ref would’ve seen Fury go down and immediately waved the fight OVER. That ref was following INSTRUCTIONS given to him by the Fury’s.
Fury was at his lightest 254lbs since his comeback vs wallin. As for Tom Swartzs calling him a "great fighter". Lol this seems like the typical excuses for any performance where fury doesnt look levels above the opponents. Fury is good but joe over-rates him as all his fanboys do.
Fury fanboys are making excuses for fury's performances vs wallin and ngannou because AJ tore them apart. They are trying to rationalise the reality of the situations in a way that suits their own sensibilities. Its ridiculous, AJ is a more formidable front foot power puncher than fury with a lower centre of gravity when he throws combinations; along with better athleticism, a stronger core and what i believe to be better biomechanics, it enabled him to strike ngannou and wallin in ways fury can't do as equally well.
After listoning to Joe I almost believed Fury had a chance against Uysk - then I came to my senses.

Everyone knows how everyone else should beat Usyk but no one ever does lol.
Same for Fury, that's why this fight is so close
"If the same Fury that beat Tom Swartz pitches up...". Yeah, cause Tom Schwartz is as much of a challenge as Usyk😂
