The Southern Tour Ultra series is a trail running festival held in Wilmington, NC that includes several different events: 50 mile individual, 50km individual, 50 mile age-graded team relay as well as a Last Man Standing.
Katie and I decided to run the 50-mile team relay together with just the two of us, each running a total of 25 miles. New for 2024 was the option to combine runners - running two members at once - so we had the great idea to both run the first and last laps together.
This was the absolute BEST way for us to enjoy this race and I really hope you find it entertaining!

Dang you had to run across that log each time? Uhhh... and that swampy mud too!?! Man... you ain't struggling. I'm not falling for that Mr. King Sandbagger. LOL! Look at you take off dusting everyone!
Yep! Every lap we dealt with that log and mud. The congestion over the log was only on the first lap but the mud got worse each time we went through
Great job Scott and Katie!! I really enjoyed your video. It brought back some good (and painful) memories. I ran the 50 miler individual. Thanks for including all the other local well-known ultra runners in your video. Adrien crushed the LMS competition! What's next for you, Scott??

I actually am coming off my first ever ultra WIN this past weekend so I’m still recovering from that, but I do have the Speedgoat 50k coming up in a few weeks out in Utah! Anything else on your calendar?

@@latebloomerrunner I’m also just volunteering. I got accepted into the Barkley race which is that next week. My mom is running her first 20 miler at the race so I’ll be supporting her with that.
