I'm into declutter videos. It really shows what someone really likes and sometimes I make purchase decisions on what's kept. Like that Holo Taco matte top coat. That was impressive. This is also reminding to straighten up my polish drawer.
I love decluttering 🙌 It’s so satisfying pulling stuff you know you’ll never use and making more room for the things you actually like, the greatest feeling
This was great! It was interesting to hear what you wanted to keep/destash and why. If you top coat your swatch sticks, you might want to keep some of those get rid of top coats for that purpose. I have a franken top coat that I just keep adding to for that purpose. That way I don’t use up the good stuff. 😂 I’m looking forward to more decluttering/destashing videos from you! I think they’re fun to watch and can be a good inspiration to do some decluttering of your own! 😊
I looooove decluttering and organizing! I’m about to reorganize when I start moving next week, and I’m super excited about it. I’m pretty sure I need a wall of bookshelves and Alex drawers in my office. 😅
I DO NOT care for ASMR usually, but, I have to admit, I replayed the part where you were putting the bottles back into the stand a few times. It really was a pleasant sound.😄 I loved watching you organize. I'm living vicariously through you. My room and polish are such a mess right now.🫤
We have a lot of similar products. A half bottle (large) of Out the Door, a refill of Glisten & Glow, a professional-size bottle of Bonder, a ton of cuticle oils, several matte top coats, fast dry drops, several treatment base coats, cuticle removers... to name just a few...🙃
@@MediocreManis I don’t know why I hoard them the way I do. I feel like if I get rid of some, I’m going to run out. As if I couldn’t buy more lol 🤦🏻♀️
I love videos like this because they're so satisfying. It's exactly what I need to do for myself, but never actually do. Sometimes they inspire me to get a section done here or there.
Orly's Polishield is a long-time favorite of mine. I'm not sure it fits with your requirements for a top coat, but it's the top coat I've used the longest. One good thing about it was also that I managed to switch out all the old thin brushes in my Orly polishes by taking out the Polishield brushes after I used up the top coat. I still save the brushes in case I have an Orly with a faulty brush in the future.
I enjoyed watching this and hearing your opinions on what you kept vs decluttered, I use thin quick-dry topcoat to thin our my preferred brands when they start getting too thick
Hahaha I really like the 2 top coats from Orly that you decluttered exactly because they are thinner. I use the thicker ones only over more textured polishes. 😉
I love declutter videos. I’m getting so good at not keeping top and base coats that I know I won’t use and I feel so grown up. At this point, I feel like there’s not a lot to be done with top coats…. We have quick dry, we have thick, we have thin, we have scented… what else can be done lol. I do like the Orly Shining Armor topcoat because it is thin! Lol
Love this video! Also, love the color on your nails. My first thought was “how elegant” but then went further to “how elegant for summer” and even further with “OMG, this color would stand out with tanned skin”.
I really wanted to hear them going into a trash can lol. I thought I had a lot with 4-6 each of top and base coats! And I’m using up mine and will pick one thing to use going forward. Decluttering in all areas of our lives is good for mental health!
The decluttering part was so satisfying, you did so good Hillary 💃🏻💃🏻❤️❤️ I gotta try the Orly Bonder base coat and the glisten & glow topcoat asap 👀I love decluttering videos and organization ones as well. Can't wait for the upcoming ones ❤️❤️👀👀
Fun video! I like declutter videos. I need to get back into doing them instead of just watching them 😂 It’s interesting how your tastes change even with top and base coats. G&G was my favorite top coat for years and years but I did start noticing they shrink a little on certain finishes on me. Now I love love love Sweet and Sour Lacquer top coat. One of my favorites
I enjoyed this video more than I thought I was going to 😂. It is great to see what people keep vs get rid of. I want to be a swatcher so badly, you live my dream.
I enjoyed this video and I am going to go through mine tonight! Orly Bonder is hands down my favourite base coat but I can’t buy Glisten & Glow in Canada. 😢
I love decluttering videos but the ones I usually came across were make up related! It was awesome to see one related to nail products! Can't wait for the nail room declutter video!😊 Also you have really tempted me to try some HT top and base coats! So far I have just bought a few cremes and I didn't find anything special abt them! So never ordered anything else! But I think I will definitely give the top and base coats a try!
I love Zoya’s entire naked manicure system. My nails aren’t yellow but on the occasion that I’m feeling insecure about my natural nails, do have staining, or don’t have the time to do a proper manicure I enjoy using various combos of the lavender perfector, pink perfector and tip perfectors. My all time favorite quick dry topcoats are from Vapid Lacquer and Kbshimmer. My favorite base coats are the milky one from Vapid and the blue tinted one from Rogue. ❤
Woahhh.. what a collection of base/top coat's!!! ;-) I'm at the Beetles Nail Glue, and truth be told years upon years ago (LOL @sharing how old I am) Sally Hansen or one of them had a nail kit to fix broken nails which contained a nail glue and little like square bandaid gauze thingy's to help when a nail breaks and you want to save it.. example it broke lower then the nail line.. bleeding and whatnot. It truly worked but they don't make them anymore. I wish I could find a nail glue thingy like that bottle you have! Not that my nails break anymore since I found Anchor & Heart's Mermaid Tear's in 2019... but when they have broken (not even a dozen times since I started using A&H) it would help to have some actual nail glue on hand. Thanks for sharing!!! Have a Gr8 wk =0)
@@WarriorGirl_113 have you tried Orly’s nail repair kit? It comes with nail glue and a powder to dip your nail in. I think it’s an acrylic powder. I’ve only had to use it a few times but it works really well
Ooh ok, here's a question about matte top coats - do I need a quick dry (glossy) top coat before I apply matte top coat? I recently experimented with mattifying a glitter polish and didn't use quick dry top coat since it's a glossy finish, just went in with matte top coat to finish off the manicure, and it stayed wet for much longer.
Stacy needs to change her name because I keep getting excited every time you (don't) mention me! ETA: I keep my Static base and TC in my travel nail kit because I like the slender/mini bottle size.
Before you get rid of that Out the Door bottle (if you haven't already). Clean it out with acetone, let it dry and then put a drop of each polish you have in there. I dare you. I know you might think "oh no I don't want to add to my fill lines" and I get that, but how many bottles of polish are you going to finish? Come on Hillary.
Wow I understand this feeling I got to many so I sold a lot and I'm doing a giveaway on my instagram Australia only i hate the seche base too its really bad
I really like videos like this. I like to see what people actually use vs what they own but it just sits there.
I don’t like makeup declutters but I enjoyed this. I like seeing what brands are worth keeping or tossed. Good job Hillary!

Yes! Get rid of things that no longer serve you or make you happy. This style of video provides so much information to viewers too. ❤
I love decluttering 🙌 It’s so satisfying pulling stuff you know you’ll never use and making more room for the things you actually like, the greatest feeling
I've been doing the same
I think you should do one for polishes too, I enjoy watching them even if you don’t declutter a ton!
Whenever I don't like a top coat because say it's too thin or takes long to dry, I actually use them up on my swatch sticks.

I tend to hold onto all my topcoats and base-coats - this reminds me that I probs need to destash 😂
The matte top coat comparison is absolutely brilliant information! Thank you! ❤

I watched one of your videos awhile back where you were showing off the drawers and was like "well, maybe I'm not as bad as I thought" hahaha

LMAO when you shook the bottle and glitter was stuck to the bottom! I love declutter videos. Probably more than I like hauls. Love this.
Love a good declutter video. My base/top/treatment tray looks about the same as your “before”, I need to do a good declutter as well. ❤
Love it Hilary ❤ I love a good declutter and organise video I find them very soothing AMSR type thing.
I needed this video, I have a hard time decluttering, but it has to be done.
Thanks! 😊 It's helpful to hear your opinions on the different products. I've never tried a peel off base coat. Maybe soon...

My jior base also had flecks in it! I bought it in a destash though so I just thought it was glitter from the previous user but this is good to know

I think Zoya’s ultra glossy seal is the really expensive one - $17 a bottle. Not bad but not worth the price. I love seeing declutter videos.
What nail advent calendars do you recommend?
Love these kind of videos ☺️

"Oh...okay...it WAS...." 🤣
Any recommendations for replacements for holo taco super glossy taco? I dont like their normal glossy taco at all
My two faves are the Glisten and Glow top coat and Polished for Days Crystalline!
Can anybody recommend a good base coat for the most bumpy, ridgey nails?
