My FIRST Solo Road Trip in THAILAND 🇹🇭 AMAZING Sanctuary of Truth and PATTAYA

- Опубліковано 1 сер 2024
- I finally take my first solo road trip in Thailand. It was great to drive out of Bangkok and visit Pattaya for the first time. On my way there I stopped at the Sanctuary of Truth, a temple made completely out of wood. This was one of the most amazing temples I have ever seen. I continue on to Pattaya where I enjoy a great club sandwich and find a hotel to enjoy my first trip there. This is part 1 of a 3 part video series from my first trip to Pattaya.
I recently moved to Thailand and am beginning to roam the country while documenting my travels here on UA-cam. Join me for my assorted adventures in the many different regions of Thailand.

I am going to Thailand next month and I've literally taken notes and saved up 94 places to visit ranging from temples, markets, beaches, etc., and then you introduced this jaw-dropping Sanctuary of Truth! Wow, what a temple. 95 places it is! Haha Anyway, an amazing trip so far, Serg! I've been subscribed since the day you posted your first video arriving in Thailand
Sounds like you have quite a list of places! You’ll really like one of the next two videos about Pattaya. If you go down there to see the sanctuary of truth, you absolutely must see this next place. Don’t forget to leave some time to just go wander around as well
I’ve never seen anything like that it’s amazing, I wandered how long it took to carve all that. Take care!!
They started building it in 1981. It is still under construction!
I really enjoy your unplanned trips. It's even more exciting to guess what you will be doing in the next scenes. Keep doing more spontaneous walks / trips!! Take care of yourself, Serg. 😉
I have two more videos that I recorded in Pattaya that will be up next. But I’ll definitely be doing more unplanned exploration videos. I really want to find some more hidden areas in Bangkok and really get lost.
@@LifewithSerg Hahaha. I love your "get lost" obsession. 😝 So cool!
This place is underrated. It reminds me the ancient civilization. This placd is a true evidence. Thanks for the great VDO!
Glad you enjoyed it, I found it fascinating.
Beautiful Temple l’m Thai but have never seen before.Thanks.
It’s simply amazing.
Thailand have amazing to much.
Yes it does!
Well that's Sanctuary is awesome and you're right I've never seen anything like that either have fun I'm going over there in November
I think you’ll really enjoy it!
sanctuary of truth is beautiful
Absolutely amazing place!
Hi , I got sick with Covid 3 days ago , I just feel better and still quarantine myself and really have enjoy this magnificent place. Beautiful, gorgeous..
I’m very happy to hear that you are feeling better Sheila. My first 23 days of Covid were pretty rough as well.
Good to see you on the new chapter! I would recommend for dinning at MAYs Pattaya for the Thai antique foods. You will enjoy there!
I was only in Pattaya for three nights. I will have to do some more exploring when I go back there next time
Loved the music and “atmosphere” of your sanctuary visit. The wood carvings and angles are amazing! But dude, be careful with filming and navigating at the same time! 😉
That music was actually being played inside the sanctuary. I just recorded about two minutes worth, and then use that as my soundtrack.
I’ll be careful, promise. 😁
If you want to support me, a like or a comment on this video would really be appreciated.

Ooh so beautiful!! I'll never make it to Thailand but through your videos I feel I am there. Thanks Serge!!👍🙋
You are most welcome Imsuna! More to come.
แกะสลักได้สวยงามมากเลยครับ
Yes amazing wood carving.
Woww.. sanctuary is so stunning !
One of the most amazing things I have ever seen
That temple is amazing!
It literally was breathtaking. Just a magnificent piece of art.
always nice video. Im waiting for the next one
I have two more videos from Pattaya that I need to finish editing. I should have those released in 3-4 days.
The detail in that temple is AWESOME, I am putting that place in my list to be at .
It’s one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. My video doesn’t do justice to the beauty of this place.
Great to see Pattaya is alive again. Good video, thank you.
Oh it was extremely alive. I’m sure not like before, but from what I’ve been told it’s coming back. I have two more videos from Pattaya coming in the next 3 to 4 days. I will also be going back there to make other content in the next few months
Thanks for presenting this amzing place to your followers.
It was one of the most incredible places I have ever been. I could recommend the sanctuary of truth enough for anyone going to that area
Have a wonderful trip.
Thank you it was a great trip. I’m now back in Bangkok.
Thank you dear for all the good work for Thailand and Thai people xxxxx
I’m glad you enjoy my videos. Thank you
hi Serg.. intersting video. amazing temple such detail. pattaya looks amazing. always enjoy your updates and travel adventures. that sanwich looked delicious!!
I had a wonderful trip to Pattaya. I have two more videos that I made well down there and they should be really shortly. I’m glad you’re enjoying my little adventures. There’s so much more to come!
Finally got to this place. Looking at your video I can see that a lot has changed. all those bare columns are gone and replaced with carvings. If you are down that way, you should go again.
I was there last about 4 months ago. Will look again!
Wow very amazing (sanctuary of truth) and nice hotel 😃 thanks for sharing your great video.
I had a great time in Pattaya. I have two more videos from this trip coming up over the next 4-5 days. Stay tuned
Hahahah is look sooooo fun thank you for wonderful vdo 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wowww
It’s an amazing place
Another awesome content, love the temple and hotel, Welcome to Pattaya oh and don’t miss the biggest 7-11 of Thailand here
I am back in Bangkok now. I will definitely be back, and will definitely go see that 7-Eleven!
Thank you for sharing this Gorgeous place I love to visit one day 👍🏼 I’m Thai. Live in Los Angeles.
I’m glad you enjoyed this video. I’ve got something else that I think you’ll enjoy my next video.
I support your channel. You make it perfectly periods of the VDO. I watch it and never get bored all of your VDO👍🏼🙏👏🏼💐
Thanks so much!!
You are great driving a car in Thailand this is the best way to explorer can’t wait to follow your adventure.
I am lucky that my friend let me borrow her car. I will borrow it again soon for another trip.
Your loaned Mazda2 is actually quite a torquey machine and sought after by car enthusiasts, because of its (turbo diesel) tuning potential! It didn't sell well when first came out, but now fetch decent money in used car market.
Absolutely! It’s a surprisingly torque little car. I was very impressed driving it. When my friend drives it, she drives very gently. I was definitely exploring the torque curve on it
@@LifewithSerg Your friend should thank you for unclogging the EGR valve, ha ha!. This little gem of a diesel need to be driven hard like all other diesels out there : ))
Exactly! That’s what I told her also. It’s a nice little car.
Wow.... beautiful..🙂. Thank you.
Yes amazing.
I have been to a few Mayan and Aztec Temples but because The Sanctuary of Truth is made of wood it does have the most intricate carvings! I like that Hotel !
The sanctuary of truth was beyond words. The hotels pretty nice. It was definitely a little bit dated and had a few chips and nicks here and there, but the proximity to the beach and the Buffay breakfast were excellent
Good job Serg it's fun to watch your vlog. I am Thai and have been to Pattaya many times but never had a chance to visit that temple , want to go there some day
There are many interesting things around Pattaya. Glad you enjoyed.
You are doing so good so far in Thailand.
I really appreciate girl support!
Hi Serg the Temple remembers me on Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
I saw beautiful Temple in Chiang Mai and Phitsanulok and Bangkok but this is the most beautiful what I’d ever saw.
If you saw the church Sagrada Familia in Barcelona so you know what I mean. I was first time 2001 there and it was still a constriction area. I was till 2011 6 times there and in 2011 was finished.
But this Temple is really beautiful with a sense of power and with silence.
Oh my Goodness Jomtien like my hometown. I was first time together with my wife in Jomtien.
The Apartment looks well.
Have a nice stay in Pattaya/Jomtien.
Oh yeah, I saw some incredible churches when I was in Spain.
Seems legit man!! Keep the vids coming.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Added the temple to my bucket list.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I have two more videos from my first trip to Pattaya. I think you’ll find at least one of them very interesting. Stay tuned for those in the next 3 to 4 days.
@@LifewithSerglooking forward to it,
This looks amazing! The most unique place I have visited was Began in Maynmar
It was definitely an amazing place to see. I have not been to Myanmar but I hear there’s some incredible things to see there as well
Great video bro
Thank you! The sanctuary of truth was just an unbelievable sight to see
Very good choice,friend.
Thank you so much, I’m very happy to know you liked it.
Thanks
Thank you for watching.
Thank you Serg for such a beautiful video. Great to watch a video about beautiful Thailand.💙💙💙
Glad you like it. I have so much more coming.
Hi Serg, loving your channel, and yes subscribed, just to let you aware, when watching you on tv, the thumbs up or down, hasn’t worked for a while, I’m back for a month in nov, so looking forward to it, will be my 12th time , love it. When following people on u tube, many many things I’ve seen before, but I like the way you present yourself and I find the things you show interesting, and funny at times. Take care driving, as you know , you will always be in the wrong lol. Geoff, uk.
Thanks Geoff! I’m happy to know that you enjoy my style and content. Hearing comments like yours always makes me very happy.
Hahaha.... you drove by our 7-11 and condo when you were leaving Bangkok! How funny! We loved the Sanctuary of Truth too! Been a couple times, it's just unbelievable! Have a great trip!
That is funny, it’s a small world! I definitely enjoyed my time in Pattaya, but I am back in Bangkok for now.
I like this clip.
Thank you, this was a really fun place to visit.
Great video. I was there in 2015
Glad you enjoyed
Will save this one in my Thailand 2023 playlist. Could motivate me to take a bus to Pattaya!
Wait till you see my other two Pattaya videos. I’m sure you’ll find at least one of them fascinating.
@@LifewithSerg Thrill me. 😆
Challenge accepted.
Nice adlib solo. Suggest you go to any remote provinces without planning to find true Thai.
You are very correct! That is what I plan on doing
The temple is exquisitely well crafted with beautiful details and historical events. Jomtien beach is actually nostalgic for me. Really nice that you can meet with your friend there. 👏👏🌷🤗🙏
This was the most amazing thing I’ve seen in a long time. Actually some museum, it’s not an actual temple. But semantics aside, it’s simply breathtaking.
It was great to see him again as he’s been living here for many years.
@@LifewithSerg there are many beautiful temples in Thailand as well as many of beautiful places in the southern, northern, and many more. I am sure that u have done some research before heading to that particular area. 👏🙏🌷🤗❤️ good job and well done . Serg!👏
My research levels usually consist of picking a destination and some locations. I do a little research on the spot. Just what works for me. 😁
@@LifewithSerg 😅 that is awesome 👏
Saw you and Keis in Pattaya the other night! Cheers 🥂
We definitely had a great time down there!
Amazing Pattaya
Yes soo nice!
When i was traveled Pattaya 3ys ago i stayed same Lk empress hotel where is located around beach load
Very glad to see there ^^😀
Morning meal was very nice .
Yes, that is the same hotel I stayed out. The breakfast was very good!
Ok ok subscribed, usually I don't but you're no longer a random youtuber! :D The Sanctuary of Truth is awesome and on par with the magnificent churches in Italy - not sure about the wood though, cos I feel that wood is quite fragile i.e. termites and fire. Happy to join you on the road trip!
Thank you for your support! That was an amazing structure. I’ve been to Italy, so I know some of the churches you’re talking about. They are simply magnificent.
I’ve been to Pattaya a few times now and always forget to visit that temple it’s stunning .. hahaha you were totally confused there was an egg in your club sandwich looked delicious tho.. I’m so looking forward to returning back to Thailand soon
Hey MW. I should correct myself, it’s actually not a temple, it’s a museum. It’s billed to look like a temple crossed with a castle. I highly suggest you go visit it. My next video in Pataya is going to be something else that you will find interesting. Thailand is waiting for you!
Just subscribed on you. Interesting video you made. Even I’m Thai I’ve never been to Sanctuary of Truth. Amazing stuff.
I’m very happy to show you something you have not seen in your own country. Thank you for your support.
I never go there before thanks for your vdo.
It was more of the most amazing temples I have ever seen. I’m glad you enjoyed the video
@@LifewithSerg very much
Yet another fantastic video. Serg not able to decide if i am in love with Bangkok or your contents. Perhaps you present Bangkok in a way that makes me come back to this place again and again.
My whole goal with my channel is to present content that I enjoy and at the same time give my genuine impression of it. I would hope the people watching me enjoy the way I make my videos and will watch videos I make about a variety of subjects. There will be some topics that will not be to everyones liking, but hopefully they’re interested enough in me as a person to enjoy that content anyway.
Well said Serg..as an individual you are genuine in expressions and like me lot of people must be able to connect.
Keep going and all the best. Like you keep saying to everyone, i want to say to you "please remember to take care of yourself"
Thank you so very much for that Jagdish. I will definitely take good care of myself. I appreciate the warm sentiment sir.
Nice outing. Looking good sporting the hardhat and a 7/11 T.
That was one of the most magnificent things I have ever seen. When I saw the 7-11 T-shirt, I knew I had to have one.
twice ive missed that hopefully soon
It’s definitely worth checking out!
welcome to thailand😊😊😊
Thanks!
@@LifewithSerg it's amazing😊🙏
Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok
There is biggest 7/11 in Pattaya, if you are interested. 😁
Yes there was quite a few things that I did not get to do on this trip. Next time!
It looks like your trip of to a great start. The Empress chain of hotels is literally one of the BEST chains here. I stayed at one in Chiang Mai for a few days in the hart of the pandemic and they LOADED us up with food, extras and even a gift bag with more valuable chocolate than the room cost. Great job on that hotel. They say what happens in Pattaya stays in Pattaya, but I know a few people that found out it's not true :). Seriously though, good video and excited to see more.
This was a nice hotel. It was definitely a little rough around the edges where it had some dings and chips. The Decour was definitely not my style, but once in a while I like to go and do something very different from what I’m used to. They had a pretty good breakfast buffet every morning, and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. I also couldn’t beat the proximity to everything I needed to go to.
Thanks for your support Rob!
@@LifewithSerg That's awesome and man, the temple was gorgeous. I have never been there and your narration, camera work and music made it fun to watch.
Thank you sir! The music was actually being piped in throughout the temple. So I just recorded it and use it for a track. A lot of times when I go to places that have music playing, as long as it’s not copyright type music, I will record a few minutes and then use it in my video because he usually fits perfectly
@@LifewithSerg Oh really? Wow. It sounded good and it really did fit in well.
Yeah a lot of my videos feature music from the location.
Beautiful
One of my favorite places I visited so far in Thailand.
I have subscribed for your awesome video
Thanks!
Just check at Espana resort Pataya, it’s.news Very nice with pool along like canal pass every rooms. Look just like you stay in Spain.
Wow! That sounds amazing. I really enjoy staying at different hotels. Maybe I will start making short overnight trips as well.
love
😊🙏👍
Fun fact: It was built without using nails.
That I did not know! Amazing.
LK has some excellent properties in pattaya.
Yes they do
You should go to Nongnooch Garden in Pattaya.
I already went there. I actually have a video about it. Take a look.
Good morning Serg :D good to see you are on an adventure :D
I really enjoyed my trip, and this temple was amazing beyond words.
@@LifewithSerg for sure I was planing to avoid Pattaya during my winter trip to Thailand but I think I will go to the tempel at least.
The temple is absolutely stunning. My next 2 videos about Pattaya will also show you some things that you must see. Absolutely worth the trip down there.
@@LifewithSerg I am looking forward to it :D and good work on the video as always, given your tools it is impressive!
Yes, I am still recording and editing everything on my iPhone 13 promax. I keep seeing this, but I really need to learn the new editing software I have on my laptop. I’ll get there!
Beautiful temple! Never been to Pattaya, didn’t think there was anything interesting there since it’s geared mainly for the nightlife
That’s what I thought as well. BUT… wait till you see my next 2 videos from Pattaya. Also have several more amazing places to show you guys next time I go back.
not a temple It was a castle made entirely of houses with carvings.
Wow ! Mr.7-11 Man.
Ha ha ha. Yesss

1. I am glad you have visited Pattaya. Would you explain what a club sandwich is? It seems this dish is unknown in other countries. What do you think of its name? 2. Try to visit Kao Lan. It is an island 40 minutes by boat from Pattaya. Take a boat from Balihi pier.
Sorry if I didn’t explain it well enough in my video. A club sandwich is a triple decker sandwich meaning there’s three slices of bread. It has turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato. Sometimes people put cheese on it, and since were in Thailand they decided to add an egg. It’s quite delicious.
Like Motel 6 says....If you have a comfortable bed, when you turn lights off, an 800 bht room is the same as 3000 bht room. Challenge yourself to be a little less grand with your accommodation. Many good quality Hotels can be found for under 1000 bht. You will see that in time Serg, I hope had an enjoyable time with Duck Boy the travel buddy 🙂
I actually don’t like grand accommodation. This place was def overkill for me. I wanted something near the beach and there was not much left as I booked at 4pm. I’ve stayed at plenty of inexpensive hotels and had a comfortable stay.
I've been there.! it is very beautiful. i think you should try to visit Wat Sam Phran it is also very beautiful
it is not far from bangkok
I will look into it. Thank you.
Another great video Serg, does the temple offer guides for hire, might be worth the extra cost, Also no BTS from Bangkok ?
They have a tour that starts every hour that is included in the price of admission. I’m not really eat tour type of guy. I realize that I will miss a lot of important information, but I kind of enjoy exploring things on my own. And there’s no way I would’ve been able to record because everything echoes through the giant structure. BTS from Bangkok to Pattaya would probably take four or five hours with all the stops. Lol. Note that there is such a thing.
Food street in Pattaya is more expensive than Bangkok ,fry rice is 100 baths in Jomthein Beach
I actually did not eat any street food while I was there. I’ll have to do a street food tour video next time I go to Pattaya.
Very impressive temple,I must visit this place when I go back to Thailand
I would highly encourage you to do it. It was stunning.
i didnt know there is no egg in a club sandwich in america lol in thailand it always comes with an egg XD another example of when we try to interpret western food like the bbq skewers
Yes, I love the interpretations though. Another funny one is, I ordered a Hawaiian pizza which is ham and pineapple. But when it arrived it also had corn on it. I didn’t notice that the picture on the website had corn. It’s not a toping that goes on a Hawaiian pizza lol
Great video! I have never heard of the sanctuary. Thank you for the great find!
I would highly recommend you visited if you go near the region
@@LifewithSerg I have been in the desert for way too long so I’m spending most of this trip far away from sand 🤣
First comment and first view. I am proud of myself 55. Now you have legs (car). Just drive slowly and carefully. Big cheer!
Yes, I’m fortunate enough to have a very good friend here in Bangkok who trusted me with her car. 😜
@@LifewithSerg I have not finished your video yet. The bell pops up 55. Ok, I have to go back not to the future, but to the past.
I love you wichai and happy
Thank you!
Cool T-Shirt! Where can I get it?😊
I got it at MBK mall in Bangkok. 200 baht, aka $5.80
I do like and 👍and follow your UA-cam 😊
I appreciate your support Usa.
เจ๋ง.
Thanks.
Love the 7/ eleven t- shirt.. are you sponsored by them now lol ? You should be. You regularly give them a plug. I love tjem too. Only in Thailand. Cheap & western friendly.
I was at the MBK shopping center and I saw the shirt, and I had to buy it. No, they have not sponsored me. That would be amazing though!
It's Hindi culture and Architechural inspired.the price a liltle bit high bcuz it's built by privat person built for tourist bussiness.
Yes it’s definitely expensive to visit. And it was built just for tourists. However I felt it was magnificent and I’m very happy I got to see it.
ขนาดฉันอยู่ที่ไทยยังไม่รู้จักที่นี่เลย555
It is quite remarkable.
ฉันเห็นคุณเติมน้ำมันที่ปั๊มด้วยฉันจำรถคุณได้😍😍ชลบุรี
😊👍
สวยมากครับผมเป็นคนไทยยังไม่เคยไปดูเลยครับ
If you ever get a chance to go see it, I would highly recommend it. Very magnificent
Does it have a sprinkler fire protection system
Lol. I don’t think so. It would likely burn very quickly.
Nice clip. Love the city. Don't forget to check out the biggest 7 eleven.
Oh crap. I forgot that was there! I will be back to Pattaya soon as There is more stuff I want to make videos about there.
Never had avocado on a club sandwich
True. To be fair it was on the menu as a “turf sandwich” so they obviously had modified it. Lol
👍👍
Thanks!
This is a good exampel of how historien lecture people always unrestimate people 😀
I’m sorry, but I don’t quite understand. Can you explain a little more.
Ohh, i was just thinking of all the sightings of old civilizations thats gone, and the digging sights from old ruins are still a lot of mystery on how they did things. With hard work over time people can be like ants 😀
Yes, now I understand what you are saying. What’s interesting about this place, and it’s actually a museum and not a real Temple, is that the only started building in a 1981. So it’s only 41 years old, but it looks much much older.
Not going to lie, the prices on everything have skyrocketed. Believe me, everything wasn't normally so pricey. It used to be cost effective, now it's almost comparable to being in the USA.... I guess Vietnam or Malaysia will have to be the next destination for expats considering the "double pricing" thats in effect all over Thailand.
It’s still extremely inexpensive when compared to the US.
ทำซับไทบด้วยครับ
Ok
Hi Serg, we are going to Bangkok next month and planned for a 1 day trip to Pattaya. I saw your video on the Nong Nooch garden and this one. We want to go to both places but won’t have time, so we can only choose one. Between Sanctuary of Truth and Nong Nooch garden, which one would you recommend (group of friends, no kids)?
Nong Nooch hands down. Sanctuary of Truth is great, but Nong Nooch is spectacular!
@@LifewithSerg that’s great! Hate that we have to choose unfortunately we need to make time for the cabaret. Thanks so much!
But keep in mind, Sanctuary of Truth can be covered in one hour, easily. But you need to budget 2-3 hours for Nong Nooch due to its size.
