Yesterday I went to a paddle out for a funeral ash spreding. We were out about 300 yards. I'm sitting there on my board thinkin, "Well this could end as a really good story on Sharks Happen". Haha
I love this show. I've got old wounds from head to toe and I specialize in trauma rehabilitation so I love hearing these stories. It can be quite educational if you look up the case and see how the person is recovering and how the surgeon put them back together.
I was doing wheelie drops on my mtn bike and ended up face planting to flat down out our local train station. Compound fractured my left arm and put my tooth through my lip etc. Was set to go to Cape Cod the next morning and ended up stabilized and able to go camping. Lived on twisted tea/ lobster rolls and pain killers. Fished with one arm off McMillan Pier and a few boats. Had many surgeries after to actually fix left arm. Prior to that I never got injured but had soon before a jammed thumb and broken wrist last jump snowboarding. Found out the next day at the mtn it was broke. Things happen in threes. Takes a while to recover from anything and it's funny how we feel untouchable. I hope you are doing great.
I dont think anything could be more terrirfying then sinking in the water from a shark biting your boat and then a 4 hour swim in or even knowing the direction to swim in feeling at any moment for those 4 hours anything couls k*ll you in those waters. Just to live through that and tell the tale I'd never even go near water again. God was with that man that day.
Speaking of fishing, the latest attack, a fisherman in Florida catches a shark. It lands in his boat, bites his arm pretty bad, police help to stop bleeding, after being called. There is a photo.

You are so funny hal 🤣 I went fishing last week here in Wales I take my disabled brother, well I had a big carp on bent down to land it and I landed in the water went head first 🤣🤣🤣 just as well the water was warm, I couldn't get out quick enough I don't like the eels 😂 well the carp took off with my rod that was the end of my fishing day lol Keep your stories coming luv em xx
That is my exact sleep schedule Hal. I stay up 2-3 days, my mom said I was born a night owl, (there are actually many of us), and then I crash for 12-14 hours. Did that last night. I also suffer from terrible insomnia. I hate it. Like many others too, I can never sleep when there is a full moon. Hello to others here who are the same way!! You are not alone!!
Great show Hal & very interesting fishing 🎣 stroy sounds like the old Indian trail that no one takes any more thanks for sharing 👍 see you on your show take care man 👍🙏
We have just had 3 shark attacks confirmed today on my local beach in South Padre Island, TX. We have never seen so many in a single day! Even 3 in a whole year is very rare.
Buckle up, because since the covid lockdown stopped commercial fishing the shark population has rebounded. Now the lack of bait fish due to overfishing is bringing them to the shallows for food. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that we are only bitten due to curiosity, or mistake. Because we are most certainly on the menu.😅
@@Yeshuacomesasathiefinthenightnobody with half a brain says they don't eat us. Every expert is aware of situations where people have been eaten over and over like the Indianapolis. Sharks do bite out of curiosity or mistaken identity. If all sharks were attacking people to eat them, many, many more people would die....there'd be more attacks and less people would survive the attacks. A great white shark that's fully grown is massive. We would know if there was a shark that decided to target people only. And Hal echos this. Great whites need hundreds of pounds of food at once. It would be very obvious if a shark in a particular area was targeting people over and over. Alot of the people that are killed are super careless...like the guy that got killed im Sydney. Or Cameron Robbins...the kid that jumped off the ship into shark infested waters. Those sharks follow ships to feed and may have even been fed that night from the ship. They're all competing to eat whatever hits the water first. They're basically trained to attack whatever hits the water.
@CharlesSeipel apparently you give far too much credit to those half-Brainerd people, because it's been said by many "researchers " for many years that people are ONLY BITTEN by mistake.🤣 simply not true. By no means did I say anything remotely close to what you said... But go off, I don't even know why you felt the need to debate something that wasn't up for debate. Yet here we are. All I said is that shark attacks are certainly going to increase since sharks are rebounding, all while people are overfishing their food sources. I certainly never implied that any single sharks are rampaging but as a collective, shark attacks on people will be on the rise and we will likely see more fatalities than in previous years.
Finally another show! You have us addicted to your shows Hal !!😅😊😊 glad you're back. Thanks for this show. Great as usual. Your fans from Texas!! 👌 👏 👍
Hal my twin sister and I both love your show as we have been obsessed and terrified of sharks especially great while sharks since we were little. Love your talented and entertaining show my friend.
I love your laugh, but let me tell you….spiders!!!!! You would have heard me screaming, squealing and squalling for miles. I would have dropped everything and lit out of there until i reached my vehicle. I would try to fight a bear before i could deal with a big spider on me.
Thanks Hal loved your great fishing story. I’m in northern Ontario Canada. We get some large fish in our lakes. Pike Muskie large and small mouth bass get some good size pickerel too. Thanks for the great video. ❤🍻
You're going to blow ISAF and anyone else out of the water with your database, once you get it complete. It'll be your legacy....well, that and your shirts. I can just foresee people using your data for decades and decades to come. Kudos brother.
Apparently there’s been like 3 shark attacks over the Holidays in South Padre Island, Texas beaches!! There’s footage of it! Hope you can talk about these soon! Love your content btw! 💯💯💯
It's probably a bull shark, Hal, regarding the shark attack incident in Biloxi, Mississippi. It's pronounced Ba Luxx E. I live in New Orleans, and have been there several times. It's a little less than a 1.5 hr drive from New Orleans via Interstate 10, depending on traffic. . Great video. Thanks.
Back in 2015 a guy caught a 7 foot Bull shark off of the pier in Myrtle Beach south Carolina. He finally cut the line after it nearly pulled it off of the pier. Two teenagers were waiting to see what he caught and when they saw the shark they freaked out and said there is no way they are getting into the ocean again !! It scared them pretty bad to see a big shark that close to shore. The guy who caught the shark told them they might want to spread the word to their friends. 😅
Great show Hal! Looking forward to seeing your next show soon ❤ they are still looking for the man that is lost and no trace so far. I'm in Miami with my daughter and grandson.
Hey Hal! I've missed a few shows, but I'm going to catch up on them now. Haven't had much time to enjoy anything lately and I'm still behind on everything it seems. I can barely keep up with some of the disgusting news before crashing at night. So glad to kick back tonight and just enjoy some Sharks Happen with Hal and hoping maybe they'll be a crazy Hal fishing story for a good laugh or two!
Hi Hal, your channel is really great , one of my favorites . I appreciate the awareness I have gained in regards to : me being more afraid of sharks than they are of me ... I always suspected that 😅 Your wonderful presentation with respect for those who found out the hard way, great dangers lurk below... and sometimes in shallow water. 😢 Michigan is my home too, it's a beautiful shark free zone . You seem quite nonchalant about the spiders 😮Thank you!
Hey Hal, you look like you're getting some good sun my man ! We're having a heat wave here in California. My family has a pool and we're close to LA County Beaches. We love it ! In regard to the trail- You're lucky he wasn't a serial killer lol

I Remember Listening To My Step Grandad Telling Me About Mountain Lion Stories, Didn't Realize He Was Lying Until I Got Older, Nevertheless I Was Very Entertained... Again Hal, Great Channel... Always Watch And Listen To Your Videos, Especially While At Work... If I Know Sharks Are Present, I'm Not Getting In The Water Period.
Poor Hal, it sounds like a less than enjoyable fishing adventure. Three hours of trekking through the brush on an overgrown trail, spiders, heat. I hope you didn’t get poison Ivy. At least you got a good tan 😊
Love the show Hal! Live here in maryland and ironically we don't hear of many if any attacks here in the Ocean City,Assateague, Chincoteague area...probaly due to scaring off tourist's...lol Would love to know if you have any on record in this area?

They said it was rare for a shark to do that but from watching this channel I know Great whites do take people away like that.
My guy's are all getting SHARKS HAPPEN shirts for Christmas this year. I start my shopping in August so by October it's all done and I can focus on baking and making candy. This year we're making candy sharks, we'll send you some 😊

Whereabouts?
I love this show. I've got old wounds from head to toe and I specialize in trauma rehabilitation so I love hearing these stories. It can be quite educational if you look up the case and see how the person is recovering and how the surgeon put them back together.
What kind of wounds? I got shot twice during a botched robbery of my home, once in the hip and once in the lower back.
I was doing wheelie drops on my mtn bike and ended up face planting to flat down out our local train station.
