It was a really great season! Huge treat to get all that nice thematic terrain. I was disappointed at first that we got trees everytime, but I think once I saw pictures of a table with all the terrain laid out, it made sense. Only problem is that those trees are all but impossible to store in any way, if you don't have a dedicated hobby room. I only ever assembled the first box's worth, and my appartment is already flooded😅
Haha, they are tricky! I'm lucky enough to have one of the ol' IKEA glass cabinets for my painted mini... And they've currently taken over a whole shelf and a bit. It's not a great (or probably lasting) solution, but equally agree - they look ace on the tabletop when the rope bridges are strewn all over the place. I just have to learn to be more careful with my sleeves... :)
I know nothing about Warcry but I’ve always been curious I loved this video thank you! Im stunned you have so few subs. I haven’t seen this channel before and I’m so glad the algorithm gods shined on you.
Ah, that's very kind - thank you! I hope it mostly made sense :D. Warcry's a great game! If it helps any, my Heart of Ghur video acts as a bit more of an intro (although may be a bit repetitive if you've watched this one, and probably a bit less polished...) Quicker option - just give me a shout if you have any questions and happy to help! Plus the Warcry Facebook, Reddit and Discord groups are super friendly 😁 - cheers again for the comment!
Thanks again 😁. Ahh, yeah this one was great fun. The first lengthy video without any serious tech issues (usually my phone which I edit on crashing and losing stuff!). Very happy with it, and I'm glad you enjoyed 😊🙌
Bahahahahaaa, yaaaassss! Chefs kiss mate, chefs kiss!! It’s a bingo, with mention of Congo! I literally named my Royal Flaymaster, Sir (Tim) Curry in honour of that movie!! Brilliant!

These videos are really good and fun, just wish they got the attention they deserves! As for Nightmare Quest, I wish the trees had some variation from the heart of ghur originals, otherwise I would have bought this box.
Very kind! I do feel pretty lucky to have a nice crowd that pop up to watch these :). Yeah, I must admit I've not quite decided what to do with mine... I may come up with some way to mix 'em up a bit :)
Haha, thanks very much! I've been a bit slow on the videos lately, but more to follow soon. Thanks very much for the sub, and hope you enjoy Crypt of Blood! (PS: watch out for the ruler included, the first inch has an extra 3mm!)
Another great warcry box review! I like that you go all out for these releases. I'm yet to take the plunge on a warcry box yet. Just waiting for the right one for me (kinda waiting for Uglu). Got a few warbands ready to go though!
It's looking just like warbands on the horizon, but I hope they sneak some new scenery boxes in to add some variety! There's definitely new Shyish/graveyard scenery floating about from the leak, and I always did regret not picking up the Souldrain forest box, so wouldn't be disappointed if we got a creative mix of existing scenery to play on. Time will tell - also I'd LOVE to see what they'd do with Ulgu!
Great video, the skit at the beginning was perfect 💜 I've picked up the box as some friends play Warcry, and being able to play the Flesh-Eater Courts tipped me over. Very much looking forward to painting up my noble Flaymistress and her loyal retinue, and getting them on the table to save the realms from those dragon eggs! I understand you can add in other models to vary your warbands - do you think there'll be a way to add in the Grymwatch from Warhammer Underworlds? Absolutely love that warband, it's still my favourite Underworlds warband to this day, and would love to get Duke Crakmarrow and his fighters involved 🙂
Haha, thanks! I look extra awkward as the video progresses as if I moved my head bits would topple off! It's a great box to pick up, that Realmshaper is a really nice centre piece :). On the Grymwatch front you're in luck! The latest Warcry errata confirmed that "Bladeborn" (Underworlds fighters) were still legal for play in Warcry wherever these rules were printed and they had stats in first edition! Even more handily, a much cleverer person that me has made the amazing Warcrier website compiling *everything*. You'll find their stats here: warcrier.net/docs/warbands/death/flesh-eater-courts/
Yeah, individually they're absolutely fantastic models - up there with other entries from the range. It's just the silhouettes when they're massed up/lined up that can be a little jarring once you see it, and tricky to adapt given how beautifully sculpted the flowy capes are.
I'm thinking of getting into Warcry - Love the look of these books especially with the special quests and rules, such as the Nightmare Pyramid. Just wondering are these rules and campaigns only available in these books, or are they able to be found somewhere else.
Hello! Good question :). The full Core Rules for Warcry are free to download and available here: www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/lWKyFJUKEGebDukF.pdf However, this box is the only time that the warband tome Might and Madness has been made available. *Some* of this rules content was republished in White Dwarf 491 (you may be able to pick up a copy online for cheap!). It included the warband quests (three each), special rules for using the Soulsworn warband and the rules for using the Realmshaper Engine. Campaign arcs, and rules relating to the rest of the terrain in the box weren't included. I hope that's some help! I will say, if you like the sound of the narrative content you do get plenty in the Warcry Core Book, so you don't necessarily NEED any of these warband tomes. They're more an added extra :). Finally, if it's any help, I did a video a while ago looking at the differences between the free rules and the Core Book: ua-cam.com/video/pj2M_Idp4Tc/v-deo.htmlsi=eNwzP4_NwvWEerGi
I may do one day! I was really hoping to do painting videos, but I film everything on my phone currently... And I've found it doesn't really take great shots of any of the models. Plus, some of my built pieces are still in sub-assemblies awaiting priming (here's looking at you Realmshaper and Bloodhunt forts). So, I'd love to. But it'll be a while :). On a brighter note, Garfy of A Tale of Painters fame has done just this (way more adeptly than I could ever manage). Thanks for the review as always. I love the idea of the flesh eater courts seeing themselves as a bunch of pompous noble knights.
Thank you! They did make for entertaining subject matter 😁😁
Greatly enjoying the max effort from your ghoul army
