I've been looking forward to this video! Everytime you posted community posts I'd check to see if i missed the upload 😂 Personally I got the hunter and hunted, loving everything inside the box and am excited to learn Warcry combining it with a Subdered fate box. Would enjoy hearing more about your decisions with what build options you went for and why but otherwise enjoying all your coverage and great content!
Haha, it's been an interesting experience. Almost all the filming was done at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov, so it's just been a bit of an editing marathon whilst battling life demands. ...I also got distracted and released a couple of other vids in between. Glad it's finally out there. :) As for builds I've opted for: Gorgers: One of each Wildercorps: Warden w Grizzled Trailhound Trailblazer w twin crossbows Leatherhide w spear x2 Scout w hatchets Scout w crossbow Arbalester/doggos built in only way possible :) I believe technically scouts with hatchets are better, but I wanted variety and as the arms of one of my leatherhides aren't glued on (sub assembly) painting, I am teetering on going back and switching them for a crossbow for variety... I'm not a competitive player, though, more narrative so on warband builds I'd say there's probably rarely much merit on following what I do ;)
The goodiest. That's definitely a word. Thanks for watching (again)! :D ...and sorry it's released so darn late, that next box will probs be on preorder this weekend or next !

As someone who hasn’t got any of the ghur set, do you think scales of talaxis is good enough as a board on its own or would I benefit from getting some more trees? Great video as always, well done
Thank you!! : ) Having played about with it a bit more than when the video was recorded, I can personally say - Scales of Talaxis is lots of fun! The pylon, elder gnarloak and idol of motzlpota all have platforms equivalent to the height of regular gnarloaks released as part of Heart of Ghur season, and the variety of rules for scenery (plus the swampy bits) allow for lots of varied games. That said, if you like the trees and can get an extra 1-2 for cheap (and maybe consider the original scatter terrain sprue as this will give another two bridges of different length) then they'd fit in nicely, but definitely not necessary. :)
Great vid, im looking at getting into warcry and im undecieded on what to get, availabilty is a bit poor at the min so my choices are nightmare quest + core book or scales of talaxis + hunter and hunted + core book for a little hit more any advice would be welcome thanks
Helloo! Good question. Nightmare quest is brilliant, but if you're just picking that up and the core book you're seriously lacking on versatility in your board. The terrain's cool, but you're only really getting three pieces you'll interact with much (two trees and a ziggurut/realmshaper, the latter of which you can only stand on the very top of). Scales of Talaxis gives a really nice board to play over, and the rules for the swampy bits means these may well be avoided, adding more variety. Not to mention all the scenery rules (choose to use the ones you like!). Of the two options I'd go with these two, but it's gonna depend a bit on how much you want to spend. ...as for the Core Book, this is only worth picking up straight away if you want to give the narrative campaign rules a go, because Games Workshop have been lovely and lovely the Warcry gameplay rules for free :).
