I never even got to really experience them. But to be fair I think IMSA's tents for merch are 3465345986734598 times better than NASCAR, there are shirts, hats, jackets, pretty much everything. And you get alot of time to get into the shade, make your choices, and even take pictures of something thats cool but your not gonna buy. Haha at Laguna Seca this year I even got a free bag of tortilla chips for the race.
This comment makes no sense at all, if you go to a nascar race ALL the haulers are separated by team…I just went to the last 3 Richmond races and all the trailers with merch were team based and 1 overall nascar hauler… so I have no idea what your comment is even referencing
I’m convinced it’s just racing. It’s insane how disgusting the people around racing at the top level act and I get we see the rich ones but no other types of sports leagues go this hard
If you are talking about Rick Hendrick, Joe Gibbs, Roger Penske, Michael Jordan, Richard Childress, Jimmie Johnson, etc. yes I agree. Plus all the Private Equity Firms that are buying stakes into teams.
@@Bad_Chemicals702That's why leagues like the NBA and MLB have antitrust exemptions. The lawsuit almost certainly means NASCAR doesn't, and frankly the different structure from other major American sports leagues is also eyebrow raising. For the big 4 American team sports, the team owners own and operate the league.
@@flareog134 And it could be Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin who burn that house down. Even if it isn't, teams should take note and try to rally against NASCAR.

Brad Keselowski said in a post-race interview in 2016 that NASCAR wasn't a fair sport; it's an entertaining sport. And the thing is, NASCAR didn't penalize him for that. If that wasn't NASCAR admitting to their lack of legitimacy, then I must be Daffy Duck.
@@weinerdisc8099 - Couldn’t agree more. I kinda think there shouldn’t be a “house” in sport. Like sure, sports teams and leagues can be profitable and are enormous assets sometimes, but it feels like the notion of “sport” itself and its value is being lost when people’s defense of NASCAR (in this instance) is that it’s privately owned and they can do what they want. A sport’s sanctioning body shouldn’t be motivated by profit, per se, but to advance the sport itself and from that creating profit. It’s absurd to me that NASCAR’s core mission these days, aside from enriching its owners and controlling every part possible of “stock car racing,” is to create an “entertaining racing product.” Sport is inherently entertaining and has organically created so many amazing moments and stories. NASCAR should be fully focused on ensuring that their sport is fair. After that, that it can reach as many people who want to both participate in and observe it. Finally, profits should be used to promote the sport, to compensate those who give so much to it, and to protect the sanctity of sport itself, here Motorsport, by creating and keeping “the playing field” level.

@@IllinoisRacer5 Yeah, I think the France family themselves have a cult. I keep going on about how Disney has a cult of followers, and Family Guy has a cult of followers. At worst though, those two cults just serve as a minor annoyance when you don't agree with them that every Disney movie is the greatest movie ever, or every Family Guy episode is the greatest cartoon episode ever respectively. The France family cult can cause legit harm to people, though. They're probably some of the biggest preachers of Democracy and individual rights; but in that same breath, they will defend every crooked move NASCAR does.

nascar emailing the teams at 5am forcing them to sign a deal at noon is still wild… i mean the bluds steves are just up randomly at 5 in the morning… 💀😭
It was actually a little after 6 PM, and they told the teams, "You WILL sign this by midnight, or else." Reading what Brad Keselowski had to say, he was absolutely scared. Richard Childress seems to be giving 23XI and FRM everything they need to successfully proceed with this.
The legitimately of professional sports is becoming more and more damming, because what was are escape from everyday life has now have become a mirror to realty.

If I had a NASCAR team I would as of 2019 had only a Nextel Series Car, maybe a starter team in Sportsman, those are not spec cars or close to it and you can still make money in these series becuse it is not trying to fix small gains with this new car.

Nascar has always been inept. They fell into success in the '90s because cable TV needed to fill a void. The France family became filled with hubris thinking it was their Wheeling and dealing business acumen that built the success. They then proceeded to overexpose and oversaturate the market with NASCAR everything. It was inevitable that it would all flame out. It was never built for sustainable success. They don't even know how to do that. Let's add in the fact that the cars are shit and and the oval racing is a drag. They never tried to bring young people into the fold and now that they realize what their demographics are looking like it's too late. Everything's gimmick where they're just throwing shit against the wall at this point
7:44 another side note about why this is a bad bad thing, is that Fanatics/Nascar Authentics/"Action" etc all have stuff like the Nascar die-cast scale model cars produced exclusively through Lionel, instead of the different merch companies buying and producing their own models. Everyone knows that is an expensive process, but because that is now consolidated and monopolized by Nascar, there is no incentive to make high quality models like what used to exist. And worse yet, THEY decided what cars get produced rather than the teams. A lot of really cool looking cars never get produced because they don't think they will be "profitable" enough. 🖕
Getting NASCAR merchandise sucks in general, I want more NASCAR merchandise in my wardrobe, but buying it sucks, most of the merchandise is sold online or at the track and with both options it's too inflated
Fanatics is one of the worst things to happen to official merch. The quality issue is the same with other sports because they'll negotiate a deal with a jersey/uniform company and then produce the uniforms at lower cost because of lower quality. If anyone remembers the issue with the see-through pants in baseball this year, that was because of Fanatics. NBA and NFL jerseys being ripped on the field? Fanatics. And if you go to the official merch store of teams you just get a slightly customized Fanatics store page. And because they have deals with every major sport to be the "exclusive supplier", that means they can do whatever they want with quality. Oh look, one company going and taking all the money in a business and seizing all the power and making things go downhill. Damn, no wonder why Jim France and NASCAR like them.
God I miss 90's NASCAR. ESPN, TNN, races on at 1:00 PM ET, merch trailers at the track which had really cool merch, having to actually be fast enough to race or you go home, a legitimate points system that provided a true champion, horsepower!, drivers who had personalities. Greed and the need for control has ruined NASCAR, like it does with everything.
TNN was my favorite network growing up, weekends were always awesome. Hunting and fishing, monster trucks, nascar, sprint cars, it was fun. I'd wake up at 7 or 8 on a saturday morning and make breakfast and just have a killer time.
I've totally moved on from nascar, stream dirt track racing now, watch some of the indycar races on tv. Current costs to participate in stock car racing don't really seem sustainable.
"NASCAR cars are spec cars where NASCAR has their hands in that pie too." As much as I cheer against him on the track for his villian role, there's no coincidence in my mind that the weekend after Denny Hamlin didn't sign, his performance took a nosedive at every track following not signing the charters. There's no way that a triple Daytona 500 winner in top tier equipment couldn't pass on a superspeedway and a top 25 driver of all time started to immediately take hits in performance following the charter disagreement. NASCAR is going to try and screw over whoever didn't sign somehow and someway
Insane amount of content. Their high limit 410 sprint tour, Lucas Oil late models, Eldora Crown Jewels, CARS tour, whelen/SMART modifieds, Asa super late models, USAC sprints and midgets. Awsome service. 100% worth the yearly subscription if you like short track racing.
Excellent reporting. Why GM, Ford, and Toyota still are active in NASCAR is a mystery. Win on Sunday sell on Monday worked until that thing called Internet and influencers.
December and January is a great time to try out floracing if you don't have a subscription, snowball derby, chili bowl midget nationals, gateway dirt nationals all on this winter.
This actually crazy, i think the title describes it very well, im afraid to see how this "charter/franchise" systems turn out in F1, and indycar, sadly its all about money and not racing. Also i didnt know about gen 7 cars being twice as expensive compared to gen 6 cars.... amazing.
@@GrandpaShark Yes but then NASCAR top people have in most cases a divested interest in these companies, so they got smart and greedy then raised the costs to double the average Gen 6 cars. I think the plan was to have the cars only be adding on 1/2 the cost of gen 6 to the then current cost of a Gen 6 car but dumb inflation from these companies happened because somebody allowed rules for companies to go unchecked on prices becuse of the amount of money given to the higher up people.

👍 It really bugs me when I see comments calling 23 Xi greedy! I heard Childress say he had no choice and I heard Jimmie Johnson intimate that they had no option either. I'd argue they'll be like MAJORITY of team owners. NASCAR demanding a signature like it did reeks of a bad deal for the teams. The merchandise is probably the worst (if you're MJ or Larson) but I hate the parity obsession, shared data, monopoly on parts, the awful ground effect that ruins cars and prevents those classic 'beat it straight and get back out there' moments...plus the officiating and 'win and you're in' format is ridiculous. Completely insane. So many great short tracks in America they should be racing at. Events at places like eldora, oswego, hickory, five flags would bring tremendous hype
Actually this is standard for top level motorsports. Even if it's not an outright ownership there's going to be lots of 1ncestuous ties between the teams, tracks, sanctioning body, and media rights negotiators.
@@FallingPicturesProductions - Oh, for sure. Honestly, that’s sort of how most “business” works and why “networking” and connections are so often valued. But man - is it all so blatant in other Motorsports? As I understand it, the France family has even been angling to field their own race teams using the unissued charters reserved at the beginning for new teams. Like damn! Edit - it’d be like the owner of the Yankees also being the commissioner of baseball in a lifetime, hereditary role with the finances of “baseball” itself tied to his own. More, that the commissioner also owns something like half the teams (not a perfect analogy, but using teams as analogues for tracks) and can also call “balls and strikes” from the owner’s box. It’s too much influence for one entity to have over a national sport, in my view, and the role of NASCAR commissioner should be like the MLB where the various stakeholders vote for that person.

I know this was briefly mentioned towards the end, but I just wanted to say this. This is why I've always been entirely against gambling being allowed in any sport or source of entertainment whatsoever. We have enough problems already with trying to hold people accountable for throwing money around like NASCAR in this case. It amazes me how many people don't realize how much WORSE gambling would make those same problems & if anything exasperate those issues even further
Your right but the fact is people have been gambling on sports almost as long as they exist....despite the fact it was largely was illegal. It was only a matter of time before the US govt took a big bribe and the easy gambling tax revenue after they saw what happened with marijuana and the billions they made off that. This is along the lines of College Football back in the day when the NCAA controlled both TV and merchandising, and yes that was taken down by a lawsuit.

Enjoy the video, a lot of great information. One thing about the pre-2001 tv deal. Many people think it was difficult to keep up with races on different channels each weekend. It really wasn't. All the channels were on your cable or satellite provider. You had 40-50 channels tops and if you knew which of the six networks carried races that year, you had six channels to look for. Next year, you may need three or four different apps/subscriptions to catch all the racing, just more money in someone else's pockets. At the end of the day as you stated, teams come and go, money changes hands and the cycle starts over. Lastly, with fewer races on network tv in the past, fewer races got bumped off the air if an overrun happened. On the cable stations, an Andy Griffith rerun, a lot rolling tournament or some other odd show was preempted. Today, it gets bumped off the network to a secondary station that maybe not everyone has. The tv situation could be much better.
9:15 this sounds like a trust. This sounds like the sort of trust that Sherman passed a law against over 100 years ago. MJ has a point with his lawsuit.
I’m just glad to have watched back when there were Buicks, Pontiacs, Chevys, Fords, Oldsmobiles, and Dodges racing. They didn’t have debris cautions back then. It’s totally different now. Oh well. I’ll watch and yell at the tv when nascar throws a caution right before the white flag, like yesterday at the Xfinity roval race. GWC, what bullshit. Playoffs more bullshit. Disagree. Things have to change. NASCAR can do it. It doesn’t have to be like the NFL or the NBA. Sit down with Dirvers and Lawyers, Rebrand yourself as a SPORT, they’re just scared, I’m a diehard fan, I’ll continue to watch.
Only long time fans will remember when they had races on PPV channels. We had a cheater box when I was growing up, so we still watched the races for free.
“The house always wins” It’s different now. Many of us fans are standing with the teams and people who make NASCAR great, rather than NASCAR itself. We’ll happily move on to Indy, WOO, Rally or whatever else if NASCAR doesn’t do right by the teams and improve its product. I’m happy stepping away knowing I got to watch the best race car of all time hit the track (the Gen 4).
Regarding the bit at 12:55, Nascar also owns IMSA, and actually does field their own team there. You might know them as Action Express racing, who field the number 31 whelen car most notably with Pipo Derani. They've won 6 championships in their class, although as we've seen despite being ran by the same person, IMSA is ran much tighter compared to Nascar. Should Nascar revoke the 23XI and FRM charters we'll probably see an expansion of Action Express into Nascar, don't know who'd drive for them (Ben Kennedy returns?), but knowing how much nascar loves to manipulate races nowadays I can't imagine they'd do any worse than be borderline playoff contenders. Anything to push the agenda
Googled to see if the RTA is still in existence. Got me here. Incredibly informative. Answered so many more of my questions than anyplace else I've looked. Sounds like something like the RTA may still exist but that most have concluded that NASCAR holds all the cards and there's nothing that can be done about it. Guess it could come down to which judge ends up being in charge. The merch thing is incredible. The Penske boost button thing, too. Humans seem to be almost predictably weird. 🙂 Power does seem to abuse. . .
The charters were the idea of Rob Kauffman & Race Team Alliance. Nascar never wanted them. The next Gen car was the idea of the teams. They wanted to save money on developing & producing all their own parts. Now they complain they can only buy from approved sources.
The Auto Club deal I think is worth mentioning too (an ISC track they owned). Go watch the videos of the "progress" of that and you'll see the track will be gone there will be no short track like they originally talked about. Rather than staying in the SoCal market and being loyal to those fans they took the real estate money (millions of it) and ran. Just another business move they made to keep revenue flowing.
Some back marker teams really made out. BJ McCleod and the &78 40 mill. Holy sh^t. I know Derrike Cope and the 99 made a lot of money when they sold there Charter, ironically to 23X a few years ago.
IMSA's already fucked up if you look close enough, between the never-ending plague of late-race restarts and Dan Binks's offhand comments about not even being able to drill a hole in a C7.R unless it was on the FIA paperwork. The days of taking an old Firebird, throwing all the go-fast bits at it that the rules will let you get away with, buying a small stack of old racing tires and bringing a bunch of beer buddies to the Rolex 24 are gone too. The one good thing about IMSA is that there's so much car variety that things can still look, for all the world, as though they're A-OK.
@@Romit12 You're right. I do hate this, if only for the fact that it automatically assumes IndyCar execs are somehow less inept and corrupt than NASCAR's execs. They're all the same, folks. That needs to be remembered.
NASCAR wants to do the same thing that Feld Entertainment did with Monster Jam. They want to own all the teams themselves and then pay the original owners a salary to run them, giving the appearance that they are independent.
13:09 I thought the P2P scandal in Indycar was that 2 of the 3 Penske drivers used P2P on the first lap after a restart, which isn't allowed, and that the Penske team said it was a "glitch" that caused it.
Yeah pretty much, Newgarden used it pretty extensively on restarts while the other two really didn't. They did not however had unlimited P2P just on restarts.
Not sure what the team said about it, but I know Newgarden said it was a misunderstanding of the rules which seems odd given they are the team of the guy who writes the rules. Maclauglin used it a little on restart so also got DQ'd, but Power did not and only got a loss of points.
You done good S1ap!!!!! This video was worth the wait, but please don’t make us wait this long until the next one. And I have already watched the Elly vid. Kudos!
I miss old NASCAR and I think alot of fans will agree with me. Ever since NASCAR blew up in popularity it has made some questionable decisions and ever since 2003 NASCAR has gone downhill from the car development, new gens sucking the first year to two, injuries are now becoming a thing, the sport becoming so expensive that drivers with real talent aren't going towards NASCAR, bad officiating becoming a common occurrence, abandoning legacy tracks and replacing them with terrible tracks, etc. NASCAR is just trying to kill itself at this point and soon one of those bullets will hit some serious and NASCAR will go down the drain. There needs to be a big change in the leadership in NASCAR or else it could die. I mean just look at all the defunct sports/motorsports leagues some were doing really well and made bad decisions and went bankrupt. Everything has a beginning and an end and NASCAR isn't exempt from this. Obviously this will take a along time to happen but with each year and each bad decision it's really becoming a possibility. I mean remember when NASCAR was thinking about replacing Cup Cars with full electric cars. I just hope NASCAR gets it together.
Slap, you proved to me how NASCAR is the WWE of motorsports. After this, I don’t plan to attend another NASCAR race at any track that is quasi-owned by NASCAR (Pocono, Indianapolis, Gateway are exceptions because they don’t fall in those categories). The downfall of NASCAR is inevitable, and it may very well be of their own doing. LONG LIVE INDYCAR!
Once i discovered the national 410 sprint car scene i lost interest in nascar. Could be brought back if they started running more short tracks and built a way better car for it
As an Indycar fan in addition to NASCAR, it is absolutely stupid & mind boggling that Indycar has followed NASCAR in adopting the charter system for 2025 onwards especially considering the fact Roger Penske has seen firsthand what the charter system has done in NASCAR. In my view a lot of the problems that are associated with the charter system in NASCAR will be 100 times worse in the Indycar charter system considering the fact that it is more expensive to operate an Indycar team than a NASCAR one. Indycar says that the charter system will grow /sustain the sport when I actually think it will have the opposite effect because teams like Prema (who are joining Indycar next year) are basically banned from the shared revenue that is split among the teams in Indycar for the first 3 years they are a team & they are not guaranteed a spot on the grid & have to qualify for each race. However Prema had to agree to these terms to even be allowed to enter Indycar for next season. The only good thing to come out of the charter system in Indycar is that the traditional qualifying format for the Indy 500 (aka Bump Day) will remain for now though I would expect the big teams like Ganassi, Penske & Andretti to push for all of their entries into that race (not just the chartered ones) to be guaranteed a spot, making it even harder for the smaller teams & the teams that only do the Indy 500 to get in.

Action was the 🐐 of Die-cast.
Getting NASCAR merchandise sucks in general, I want more NASCAR merchandise in my wardrobe, but buying it sucks, most of the merchandise is sold online or at the track and with both options it's too inflated
I've got 90's Racing Champions of some very obscure drivers, drivers who wouldn't get a diecast past preorder and get DNP'd nowadays.
Damn, no wonder why Jim France and NASCAR like them.

rich guys beefing with other rich guys is my jam.
Gambling is only going to become more common in sports and daily life sadly.... not stopping it now. Certainly seen some VERY suspicious results in NFL games and UFC fights.....sometimes you cant help but wonder.
The same family that created NASCAR is the same family that is destroying NASCAR. Such is a lot of things in life.
There’s an old saying in business
“From rags to riches to rags in three generations”
Here's a similar one:
"First generation builds it, second generation grows it, third generation destroys it"
@Max16032 It's incredible how NASCAR perfectly followed that cycle
might as well change the France surname to McMahon.......
"[Nascar] always gets the last word." - Dave Rogers, 2010
When KFB got mad about a penalty at Texas right?
@CadenZoucha Yep lol, exactly that.
@@Buynot what was the penalty I forget? The only thing I remember from that race was the "fight" between Gordon and burton
@@CadenZoucha He got bopped for speeding during green flag pitstops, and then when he served his stop-and-go he flipped off the officials, so race control parked him for 2 laps. Kyle wasn't having it and complaining about freedom of speech on the radio, at which point Dave Rogers started yelling at him to just park it.
@@Buynot just watched that radioactive lol
This video should be seen by EVERY NASCAR fan. It annoys me that there are fans who are saying “if you don’t like it then leave” clearly either ignoring or not knowing how in the wrong NASCAR is.
This paints a picture in a way everyone can easily understand why the teams were upset and why 23xi and Front Row are refusing to give up the fight.
As always, great video and very well researched
"If you don't like it then leave!" Is just dumb boomer oversimplification of every problem, in most cases it's never that simple, while it's simple in itself to stop watching NASCAR because it's no longer enjoyable, it's not that simple how it got so bad and to me it got really really bad really really fast, sure stages and playoffs were dumb but usually at least the racing was pretty good, now more often than not races are either really boring or devolve into a shit show or NASCAR makes terrible officiating calls in the name of entertainment.
This is along the lines of College Football back in the day when the NCAA controlled both TV and merchandising, and yes that was taken down by a lawsuit.
Same lawyer that Michael Jordan and 23XI hired?
Most of the guys I grew up with when I watched NASCAR. Are now retired and I have stopped watching it. I primarily watch Sprint Car racing now.
I mean, given the sport's roots in criminal activity, its almost poetic seeing the organization graduate and scale up from rum running. Not great, but befitting
I hate to be black pilled as the kids say, but I really think Nascar is gonna collapse if it keeps going as is. Nascar is just doing too many things to get in it's own way or try to "improve" the sport, only for it blow up in their face.
I just hope when all is said and done Nascar is back to the way it was before 2004, with the only change being more points between 1st place and below spots and at least 4-5 road courses on the schedule.
It's not gonna collapse, it'll just eventually turn into pro wrestling, which still seems to make big profits somehow.
@Statusinator Well, the thing is that it is scripted, and everybody knows it. This is not like that.
@@nicestoriesnottherealstori3006 What I'm saying is that soon NASCAR *will* be scripted, and just like wresting it'll take decades for the audience to figure that out.
@Statusinator it's scripted now, you see people spin all the time racing for nothing, they are told and probably paid to do that
Hopefully but not happening.
13:52 I'm honestly surprised NASCAR hasn't started shilling gambling the same way other sports have done. I expect to see a lot of it in the next couple of years.
I agree especially look how poorly NBC treated IndyCar
9:15 this sounds like a trust. This sounds like the sort of trust that Sherman passed a law against over 100 years ago. MJ has a point with his lawsuit.
It’s really unfortunate, it’s not necessarily the money but the power NASCAR seams to have. It’s downright scary.
Like someone said earlier, going to watch an old race on VHS…
They had debris caution back then how we have 2 stage brakes
S1ap coming back with another slapper of a video... and what perfect timing too
NASCAr goes under within 5-10 years, calling it now
They will have to totally reevaluate their business model in around that time, for sure.
I could see the sport splintering into multiple organizations. Which wouldn't be horrible if they come together for a few big races like dirt oval
Disagree. Things have to change. NASCAR can do it. It doesn’t have to be like the NFL or the NBA. Sit down with Dirvers and Lawyers, Rebrand yourself as a SPORT, they’re just scared, I’m a diehard fan, I’ll continue to watch.
NASCAR ended in 2003.
@@tacituskilgore8747😂
Only long time fans will remember when they had races on PPV channels. We had a cheater box when I was growing up, so we still watched the races for free.
“The house always wins”
It’s different now.
I knew it was bad. I didn't realize how much they actually had control over though. Thanks for making this.
Whatever happens, Nascar needs an ENTIRE overhaul in management
Thanks!
Roger Penske watching this: wait, I can just make a monopoly and force the teams to agree? Sign me up.
I just visited your channel like 3 days ago and declared it dead, haha. so glad to see a new one from you slappy shoes!
The world is all right again! SlapShoes is back and alive! He’s also posting nascar content
"Racing has nothing to do with cars or drivers. All that matters is power, and the unassailable might of money!"
- Mr. France probably, idk
Nope. It was E.P. Arnold Royalton, Esq., founder and head of Royalton Industries who said that.
Nice Speed Racer reference. That film really have some interesting themes.
They need to show this video in court.
Some back marker teams really made out. BJ McCleod and the &78 40 mill. Holy sh^t. I know Derrike Cope and the 99 made a lot of money when they sold there Charter, ironically to 23X a few years ago.
It still scares me what the France family can do to imsa, i hope to god they never truly fuck that up as much as nascar
TOO LATE!!! THEY SCREWED THE FORD GT BY LEVELING EVERY DISADVANTAGE ON IT. AND IN '05 '06 FORD GT ALSO AS WELL AS SALEEN S7 !!!!! ULTIMATE TRUTH!!!!!
@@dougcarpenter7627no need to shout so loud
It's making it difficult to understand if you're passionately angry or badly trolling.
(Y'all gonna hate this) But I genuinely hope IMSA gets bought by Penske or Andretti in the future
@@Romit12 You're right. I do hate this, if only for the fact that it automatically assumes IndyCar execs are somehow less inept and corrupt than NASCAR's execs.
They're all the same, folks. That needs to be remembered.
Always glad to see you upload S1ap. And nice collab with EllyProductions49.
BABE WAKE UP, SLAPHSOES JUST UPLOADED.
"This is cartoon villian type sh*t right here" 😂
😂 Yes my fools buy my charters and pay into this series
3:31 also when Jr was done and the humongous merch income slowed down im sure
NASCAR had over 45 teams going full-time in 2007
Yep so many full-time cars attempting every race they actually send several home who were attempting to race every race.
My great grandmother would be very disappointed to learn about all of this. Bless her soul
Miss the Winston cup days! Gravitated towards IMSA, IndyCar & snd F1!
The world needed this video. You're the man, Slappy.
Also consider the acquisitions of ARCA and IMSA, as well. I would not call it buying out the competition, exactly, but maybe...
Really great content again! Super informative about stuff that I had heard on the fringes but didn't know the specifics about. Thanks homeboy!
We're gonna see a rerun of the CART/INDYcar split mark my words
If we get a legit stock car series out of it it's worth it
20 years ago even non Nascar fans had a favorite driver. Including my wife.
I guarantee she couldn't name one current driver.
The france family makes Bernie Eccelstone blush
Thanks a f-ing lot, Rob Kaufmann.
