It's fantastic to see Philippines and other Asian country to stand up against the big bully.
The South China Sea had been a peaceful common fishing grounds for countries bordering it for centuries. Everyone benefited and everyone respect each other. It all ended when China's greed and ambition grew with their egos. The feud was the consequence when you want everything for yourself.
If the other Asian country (Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia) follow the example of the Philippine by sending several small boats to challenge the Chinese Navy , the South China sea will be very busy!
A few flies are annoying, a few dozen flies are irritating, a few hundred flies are nerve racking!

The fisherman is willing, but the Philippine government wasnt and continually submissive to China despite the UN arbitral ruling in favor of the Philippines' ownership of several islands in the West Philippine Sea (CCP's claimed South China Sea). Especially during Rodrigo Duterte's administration from 2016 - 2022 who sold these islands to the CCP and plenty more cities and subdivisions in the mainland Ph thats now riddled with Illegal Chinese Immigrants working in abusive, syndicated and illegal chinese owned off-shore gambling operators across the country. If not for former politicians Carpio and Trillanes, among others, that are now considered minority opposition party of the current administration, we wouldmt even have rights over the contested islands but the former administration being CCP's lapdog and the current one being unqualified and same corrupt breed of his Dictator Father, Ferdinand Marcos. All efforts remains performative and never for the benefit of our local coast guard, countrymen, and even worse for the fishermen that relies on these waters for a living.

I'm glad that the Phillipines fishermen are deciding to push back on the 9 dash line. I hope that the CCP backs down like all bullies tend to do. But if things escalate then the US absolutely must support them in every way. And if Vietnam or Indochina decides to take back their EEZ from China's illegal expansion then we need to support them too.

The US needs to establish an eleven dash line between Hawaii and the US West Coast, outlaw Chinese fishing east of Hawaii, and demand the Chinese pay a toll to the US when they pass the Panama Canal..
Chinese fishermen avoids US waters and its EEZ. Because US navy, coast guard, or air force are quickly deploy if they hear about chinese fishermen illegally fishing in US waters or its EEZ. There is a map where it shows you where chinese fishermen fish illegally and on that map it barely shows they fish near US waters or its EEZ.

The US is a long-time defense treaty partner of the Philippines.
Yet Marcos Jr, after assuming office, decided to visit China first instead of the US or Japan which is the Philippines' biggest aid donor and development partner.
Marcos Jr went to China to strengthen ties between the countries and find ways to resolve the SCS issue while reducing tensions in the disputed waters.
Marcos Jr, upon returning to the Philippines, announced that he and Xi Jin Ping had agreed to explore deeper possible solutions to the dispute.
Just a few days after, chinese maritime militias resumed harrassing and bullying not only Filipino fishermen but also Philippine naval and coast guard vessels.
That was a direct insult to Marcos Jr and a further humiliation to the Philippines.
Realizing that the Chinese are really bent on taking the path of aggression, Marcos Jr did a swift pivot to the US, Japan, India, South Korea, Australia, the EU and other ASEAN Countries.
Now, Marcos Jr is the leading voice in the ASEAN against China's expansionism.
Because of its greed and duplicity, China lost a potential very important ally while the US and other countries regained/gained one.
It's clear that China made a huge strategic mistake when it embarrased Marcos Jr ans the Philippines.
I wish our leaders would open their eyes to see how much of a scum the CCP is.

The very same thing happened in Black Sea back in 2013, a year before war started - back then russian nazis navy attacked Ukrainian fishing boat. 1 fisher was killed, 3 wounded and captured by russian nazis.
