Yes. Most DS are about 6-8 years of service…
DS stephenson he was one of my drills from basic delta 1-19 third platoon reapers with DS sanderson and SDS Aqui crazy to see him as a instructor at the academy
He said Standard issue combat boots and pulls out the Oakley’s
you are sharper than a katana in that uniform!!! thank you for everything you do for this country!
Never seen a drill sergeant wear a belt
chaplains are supposed apply there legitimate chapstick on lips on a regular basis.
Campaign Hat.
If your DS hat gets wet or you want it stronger and less droopy or bowed up.
This is what I used to do-
Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees.
Spray the bottom of the DS hat with hairspray.
Place the hat into the hat press.
Put the hat press with hat into the oven.
Turn the oven off. And go to sleep.
Wake up in the morning take the hat press with you to work.
Your hat will be strong.
I was also a DSL and our hats had to look brand new all the time. Downrange it’s different, the more worn the more seasoned you look.
In my day we had to spit shine our boots.
I could tell you how but probably doesn’t matter anymore.
DS hat condoms look silly.
Never seen them with the belt on their OCP. And I've been to training
I noticed that too. Is that new or did I really not pay attention to that when I went thru basic training???
Could be for the drill sergeant school instructors
@@Idekwhattocallthis maybe
It's just for the drill sergeant academy instructors.
Much thanks to all the men and women who have to risk there lives to serve our Nation I screwed up when I. Was younger so I lost the privilege of joining the Army 🪖 But I am interested in the whole Army life once again Thank you all for keeping us safe now don't get got lol
No blue cord means you are a NO GO at your station 😂😂
I went to basic in 1987 and I remember my drill's names like yesterday. Drill Sgt. Rhoton, Drill Sgt. Smith, and Drill Sgt. Merced. But I can't remember 99% of my high school teachers and classmates
Looks a bit silly to me to wear all your awards and certifications... How would it look if my dentist did the same thing. If you must see it at all times, just hang it on the wall. 😄
Zero sense
It’s only for ceremonial purposes on the Dress unis. Its purpose is to display why you are in the position that you are. It allows people to admire what you’ve done to achieve your position in the Army
They really updated the pt field. When I was there it was mostly rocks and dirt with some patches of grass.
Staff sergeant looked sharp and ready with those uniforms
God Bless America 🇺🇸
Venezuela, in America continent thank you !
Thank you for the video.
damn, a drill sgt without a deployment patch. yikes....
I'm an infantry ssg joined in 2013 and haven't deployed. It's just luck of the draw I guess.
Those shoes for the "pink and green" are neither boots nor oxfords. But a derby shoe.
The military can save a fortune by just giving them one uniform.
Well they got one uniform, everything else is clothes used in just spesial stuff, like one for formal situations the other is just for PT, the PT one is impotent since, one it’s more comfortable wearing that when doing PT and it’s better since it’s much better to sweat in PT clothes, and the last one is combat uniform the uniform that can be used in combat and in non combat.
Makes zero sense
@@nyancatbeatcreature.3782 every set of clothes IS a uniform that has its own requirements.
@@Rlts_wf3 Do they really need a dress uniform to perform their duties?
@@theotheleo6830 It’s for ceremonies
Greatest highlight of my career was being a Drill Sergeant. I feel bad for todays drills though.
Why's that?
lol and Russia can't even get one set of uniform for their army.
Thank you for your service
The Business Insider has inspired me to start my UA-cam journey. I love the Content they make. I would appreciate a honest Review of my Channel. Much appreciated in advance.
Terrible. Stop it and go back to work!
@@0deepak 😂 😂 🤣
If that's your own original content, then your channel looks pretty good. Seems alright upon first glance.
@@0deepak god dam bruh LOL
@@JFmK-sh5nh yes it is, thank you very much❤️
Man that astroturf looks good, when I was there we just had good ole grass!!!
Is he Romanian?🤣
Best wishes from Ukraine 🇺🇦
I tipped my drill sgt's hat off in basic because he kept hitting my noise with the bridge. Did not go well for me at all.. And looking back still worth it.😂😂😂😂
hands up if you don't care
If u don't care why did you click on the video then? Is there any thought process inside that coconut head of yours?
Now THIS, is epic.
the belts look dumb tbh
Nobody wore that while I was in
It scared me when i looked at Ssgt McLean,he looked just like my Black Hat,Staff Sgt McLean in jump school. If this is his son, I understand why he is drill sergeant of the year. ...that was one the best and most squared away individuals i had ever seen and he ran us to the Moon and back. After graduation,he told me he knows my dad and smoked me extra because he liked my father. I say all this because seeing this younger version, scared the hell outta me and took me back to where ,i hated the drills during training and loved them when i left, these men and women ,turn boys and girls into menans women.....they used to say" If your parents didn't teach you better, i am your Daddy now, don't worry....you have two choices...you will evolve or die"
