Hey. So I’ve just recently put in a new 3” turbo back exhaust but it doesn’t sound the way I wanted to. High Flo cat and no resonator. I still have the muffler tho, should I delete that? Does that make sense? 😂
@@jetstream454 no don't think so mate but I know more about trucks than a Ute but I do know a throttle body closes causing a vacuum that sucks the power out of the motor slowing it down
@@kenworth4049 yes its the turbo spinning the exhaust turbine with its leftover momentum even though its no longer being driven by exhaust. Its known as turbo blow back

Did it give you more power or just a bigger whistle I done a straight through with a standard exhaust just wondering if it’s worth it

It’ll give a tad bit more power since it’s a straight pipe not a catback, also air flow is consistent unlike stock exhaust setups.

I did mine but now I have bad mpg on my 3.0 L ikdf hilux 3 inch straight pipe, any advise ? Maybe put a 3inch trough mufler for better mpg ??
Josh Tromp turbo might be over boasting and throw timing out pulling more fuel, or you like the sound of it and keep reving it out more

Jamie Lange none its the exhaust valve closing causing a vacuum in the engine slowing it down and if it’s not that it must be back pressure

Let off accelerator around 1900rpm usually lounder under engine load

If the original exhaust just cut off the muffler and connect it back..can it be this sound ?
I just took my muffler off from the flange and got a decent sound, not to loud to the point where it's a cop magnet
