The acting is off the charts. Hiddleston's portrayal of grief once Mobius was pruned, walking down the hallway is truly moving (Loki's first human friend obliterated.)

The answer to the nexus event is actually in the scene with Sif. When she says “you are alone..and always will be”. That is the path Loki has always taken. But during the apocalypse there, Sylvie and Loki were not alone. They were facing the end together. They were united and for the first time in their existence had someone that not only was standing beside them, but they allowed themselves to believe truly that they were not alone anymore. Something that until that point had never occurred to them or they’ve never really trusted as all their existence they’ve been told they’re alone.

Worded perfectly, this is exactly what i believe when I see this episode and Loki's relationship with Sylvie.
I can see them making the relationship romantic and I'm fine with it, but I see this loving relationship of trust and partnership from two beings "destined" to die alone as more powerful
This show makes me feel human emotions and I don't like it.
But Loki had Thor when he died in Endgame
@@jizzledoops6789 not really. While Thor felt that way Loki didn’t. Loki chose to do that action on his own. It wasn’t a combined force to fight him. He was living up to his glorious purpose .. acting alone to the very end.

@@ANTIStraussian You have a short memory. In the MCU, they killed off Loki in Endgame, then used an alternate time line to promote another version of Loki to "main Loki" status. In the comic book world, there is always a way to bring back supposedly dead characters.

When he said, "I hope they don't kill off Mobious" I knew we were going to get some good reactions. :)
Loki's conversation with Mobius felt like a child trying to explain to a parent their side of the story but the adult already has their version and won't accept anything else being said.
The real emotional punch of the time prison scene: that moment wasn't his most painful memory to relive because of the knee to the groin (he's taken much worse beatings, on screen even) but because of what Sif tells him. "You are alone, and you always will be." which strikes at his greatest fear in life.
That's just heartbreaking.
Blade to the heart is more painful because you cannot put a bandage on it.

Actually I think they sent him there to reinforce their sacred timeline version of Loki. What a Loki should be. Alone. It backfired a bit I think, as he started to realize what was up combined with the questioning from Mobias. But the intent was to reinforce the message of his singular existence. The fact it was painful was probably just a bonus.
He also saw his destiny from that monitor in the first episode, he realized everything that sif told was true
Ravona really said, "For you, it was the worst day of your life. For me, it was another Wednesday".
Made worse by the fact that she doesn't know what she did wrong. I think less than half of the reactors I've watched have picked up on that. She wasn't doing anything in that moment that should have any impact on anything else, least of all the timeline.
She really did say that in the same tone. But I do think she remembers. That’s her greatest failure. She just knew it would get at Sylvie not to tell her.

Maybe it was because Sylvie-Loki would've been heroic? When the TVA came for her she was playing with a Valkyrie figurine saving Asgard from a dragon.
@@bozzutoman I think that is the reason. She also wanted to help the guy in the TVA. The purpose of Loki is to make heroes become what they are supposed to be.
My favourite theory for what Sylvie’s Nexus Event was is that she was going to be a good person
When the TVA came for her she was playing a game where a Valkyrie, a female warrior, saved Asgard, her reaction to seeing someone in distress in the lobby was demanding someone help him and knowing she was adopted from a young age would prevent the issues that pushed Loki over the edge

My doubt is, how is Sylvia even existing. They said there’s only one timeline. Then how is there two Loki’s, and how is Sylvies timeline even there. She’s talked about her life, but how is her life even there, where is it existing.
@@smchp2007 Silvie is an ongoing unresolved nexus variant. When she escaped Ravona's custody around age 10, she presumably evaded capture/pruning in random timelines before figuring out she could more comfortably hide in apocalypse events without detection. A bit of sloppy character writing here but during this time she self-taught her magic/fighting abilities and planned out her revenge on the time keepers. She starts out by hunting down minutemen and stealing their reset charges, which is where this show starts.

@@daniellanctot6548 that could be twofold. Because he’s a variant, it’s the actual Loki’s story. But on the meta side, it’s all their story.
That's why each letter in the title Loki has its own font. They represent different Loki's
It is plural, in a sense. Hence the title letters all switching and being different. It's always been about various different Loki variants.

That was awesome. I honestly think that Sylvie and Loki represent to each other, acceptance. I think that's why the timeline started freaking out. They accepted each other and they didn't feel like they were alone anymore. And that might have broken the universe if they had stayed there.

Just like they mentioned, Loki cutting Sif's hair comes directly from a story from norse mythology, in which he leaves her bald in her sleep and, after being threatened by her husband Thor, promised to get a wig made of gold from the dwarves from Nidavellir.
He then convinced the sons of Ivaldi to participate in a competition of making the best gifts to the gods of Asgard, in which he included Sif's new hair, by saying that their rivals, the brothers Brokk and Eitri, would participate as well. He plans to do the same with Brokk and Eitri, but they suspect of the god of mischief, only agreeing when Loki bets his own head in case that they win. Not wanting to lose the bet, Loki sabotaged the dwarven brothers by shapeshifting into a fly and distracting them when they were making the last gift, Thor's hammer, making it imperfect, which is the reason why its cable is so short for a war hammer.
The sons of Ivaldi crafted Sif's new hair, Freyr's magic ship Skíðblaðnir and Odin's spear Gungnir, while Brokk and Eitri crafted Freyr's golden boar Gullinbursti, Odin's multiplying golden ring Draupnir and Thor's short-handled war hammer Mjolnir. Despite Loki's sabotage, the gods declared Brokk and Eitri winners, but the trickster managed to spare himself by using a loophole and pointing out that he had only promised his head, and in order to get it, the dwarves would have to damage his neck, which wasn't included in the bet. Annoyed, the brothers got satisfaction by "just" sewing Loki's mouth shut instead.

Augustin opened a new thought for me as well which is that the reset doesn't actually reset or destroy the diverged timeline. So the multi-verse is and always has existed.
The TVA is actively creating new multiverses as they prune.
Finally, i just want to take a minute to say how much I enjoy your guys reactions. And i dont mean just your actual reactions, but the technical setup that goes into the presentation. I love the format you guys use with the separate three screens. It just looks very clean.

So what i think someone is collecting all lokis and putting there in the trash. Because they dont die.
If they die like our loki died in infinity war. They broke the timeline.
If Marvel is taking from the comics, Kang the Conqueror's city is called Chronopolis where he collects trophies. He could be collecting Loki(s) and other variants. Ravonna Renslayer is his girlfriend... So your theory holds merit.
After that episode, I swore up and down that it is going to turn out to be Kang. Then I started thinking, this is Marvel, and they may throw a curve. So then I started thinking what if the TVA was created by a Loki and that's why they're rounding up Lokis. He feels any other Lokis may be a threat to him. Then I started to wonder, if it turns out to be something like that, may be we will get a Kang stinger at the end. Like they make you think it was a Loki this whole time, but it does turn out to be Kang pulling the strings.
I don't know. At this point it could be anything. I just love this show so much.

Edit: I think pruning and resetting ate different. Pruning is with the sticks. Resting is with the charges. Resting seems to erase reality. Pruning just seems to send you away.

I think this show will allude to Kang in that they take down the TVA but the creator (Kang) gets away. Maybe they get his name out of it or are warned of him by Ravonna

The TVA is probably located in the Quantum realm which most likely makes the infinity stones powerless. And i may be wrong but im pretty sure Kang is behind the TVA, he either killed the Time-keepers or he made them up. Guess we will see.

imagine if the place that every pruned person and timeline goes to is a kind of bubble universe of all those timelines mashed together into one kind of like Battleworld in Secret Wars. Which is not to rule some form of the 2015 Secret Wars being adapted in the future rather this would be introducing the idea with an 'old' Battleworld

Loki self-service has always been a mask for his ultimate fear of being alone. Loki is layered. He has always felt love but not felt safe enough to ever express it consistently. Loki loves his family, even though he has hurt them. He is ultimately self-destructive. But he has always felt love and likely feels regret about the things he has done. That conflict in him is what makes him so fascinating.

What if Kang is actually behind it all? The TVA could be created by him to ensure that he comes to power by preserving the ‘sacred’ timeline (the timeline that results in his ascendance). The destruction of the TVA could result in a multiverse with many realities which Kang doesn’t rule the future. Just an idea.
I don’t know guys not feeling Rick and Morty. I feeling a Dr.Who “Bad Wolf” and “Turn left” kinda way.
As much as I like this show and this episode I wish they had not shown that after credits scene, I would have liked the pain to linger for awhile.
Maybe Kang the Conqueror has already conquered, and the TVA is just keeping everything in line for him. What better way to create soliders that are true believers than make them think they're saving everyone? When Loki(s) screws everything up, he comes out of hiding and tries to reassert his control, and becomes the new big bad.
