I was born and raised in Tucson and tried to draw an Elk tag for 12 years in Basic units NEVER got drawn ABSOLUTLEY RIDICULOUS It's a JOKE !!!
Just put in for Arizona Elk for the first time ever yesterday. Appreciate all the information you share with us.
I got stuck at the FedEx Soundtrack Ad,. Now let's talk Hunting!
when Is the Draw result going to come out?
+Loc Le - Usually the last week of March.
Ok Thank you, I am a first year drawer and the information are so hard to find :) well at least for me. thanks again.
Non-residents need not apply unless you have max points
+dixie carp catchers - Now don't be discouraging people. :) I've never had max points and I have drawn five Arizona elk tags since 2005. Good luck to you in the drawing this year.
+Randy Newberg, Hunter that was advice from family friends in Arizona I'm looking for a tag in south east Colorado to walk in and have a chance at a bull not a monster hunter but want something better than a spike
If you hunt east of I-25, most those CO elk tags are available over-the-counter with no drawing required. Good luck.
So many of these big game regulations are like Egyptian to read, I do have a question, I am planning to buy property in either Arizona or New Mexico the areas are within 50 miles of each other so either state is fine as far as where I live. However I'm trying to decipher which state has the best opportunity for residents (archery mainly). I grew up in Oregon and hunted every year OTC archery tags and had great success. But I am retiring in either AZ or NM and looking for the best opportunity to be able to hunt as often as possible. Anyone have any insight?
For residents, your archery elk options will be better in New Mexico. Good luck.
Randy Newberg, Hunter thank you very much for the insight, that helps greatly.
