L O L ... " Lovely " is not the word I use when I come out to that here in Minnesota ... Gotta say though , I'm impressed ... You made it look easy ...
I remember getting big snow in Scotland when I was very young, and maybe once when I had an off-roader as an adult. Completely useless as everyone else was blocking the road with their normal cars with no snow tyres, lol.
@@ScottRods No, fully dis-assembled. I ordered a thicker and longer extension cord which hasn't arrived yet. Guess I'll have to grab the shovel one more time but look forward to using the Snow Joe on the next snowfall.
Came across your video. I just got this unit at 250$ cdn delivered. Will try tomorrow. It's deep now. I be following the 75% rule to fill the snow path. Keeps the stress on the belts low.
snow storm coming up tomorrow, just put mine together. Our driveway is some gravel, mostly dirt, so I can only use it on the sidewalk and end of the driveway by the street.
You do great editing mate. Slo Joe does make a great pressure washer, but for anyone with a two-stage gas blower, that looked extremely painful. "What more can you ask for"? Well, in NY and Ontario, I'd ask for an Ariens two-stage to finish that job in one 5 minute stage. ;)
Im about 150 miles west of you ( in Michigan) and we barely got a dusting of snow, compared to that. I put the snow blower on my tractor and scared it away.
Had fun using the Snow Thrower after the "weather alert" Friday. It really got the job done. I even did the dirt driveway. Felt some shocks in my bare hands, it began to rain lightly, misty, about 10-15 minutes in, it was warm enough to not need gloves, but i have insulated gloves to wear. It wasn't as severe a storm as was predicted.
@@ScottRods A few times the cord kept coming unplugged. and it just dropped into the snow. Probably how It got it wet...... I caught on. Now I sling it around like I'm at a rodeo, or kicking it...
Still working fine, however, this winter has been warmer than usual, so the snow we are getting is quite wet. The snow joe does clog up a bit with this kind of snow, but as I say, still working fine.
is there a seperate switch for the lights ,mine has 630mm beltx10mm,the plastic pulley cant be found,5.5 in x14mm left thread,if you need one, they tend to break at the nut,
great video, how well do you think this might work on a stone driveway? I have screening and when the ground isn't frozen the cub cadet throws stones all over the lawn. I raised the skids and have to leave a layer of snow which is fine but the stones are such a nuisance in spring. I would think i would have to "MacGyver" a riser under the front part to keep the blade from the stones? what is your thoughts on my thinking? Thanks
I think this would be worse as it doesn't even have side guides. Which reminds me, I meant to add a couple to mine. I have a flat tarmac driveway, but it catches on any raised section, which kind of breaks my flow, lol.
@@ScottRods that is what i was thinking but the idea of gas, oil, maintenance and then waiting to see if it will work again next season isn't making me want that either, I saw one guy add PVC tubes to the sides of his to vent that catching but then i am not sure how well that worked. Thanks for the reply

That's a little bit of snow!!! Looks like the snow blower is a life saver!!
Looks like it did a good job! Most of the credit should go to the skilled operator!

Tag, you are it ! LOL the snow is all gone here already, but we are not out of it yet ! Spring is next brother !
Counting the days my friend.
Does real well in that dry snow. I was thinking of storing those power cords in the house to keep them warm so they lay out better.
That's what I do! It's a bull to uncoil them when they're so stiff. Storing it inside makes the job way easier. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Now that’s what I call snow!
Wish we got snow like that here in England now, I remember it being that deep back when I was a kid in the 70s

Just got the same model, works like a charm. Thanks for the enjoyable video!
I need one of those down here. Had a foot of snow sleet and freezing rain SC foothills. Used a shovel.
Nice! Just bought one but mainly to clear the front of my shed to let me get to the big gas snowblower....
Just got the Snow Joe myself after shoveling that same massive snow storm. I vowed that would be the last time I cleared snow by hand.
Did yours come with the handles already attached?

The only thing I can complain about is the cord getting in the way, but still way better than having to shovel for hours.
Great Video! Well Done.
Yessss I love it...I was so sad that it didn't keep going to 3pm like it was supposed to
So it’s your fault. Thanks. Lol.
Just ordered one from Amazon....Thanks for the review.....
We're getting another dump tonight, Snow Joe at the ready, lol.
I just ordered one from Amazon it's supposed to arrive Monday was it packed well?? Did all the parts come?? Please reply

Looks like a good little machine. It sure beats using a shovel. All the best to you from us here in Baltimore.

All looks good … just curious how to control snow through so it doesn’t fly away to neighbors lawn or property..?
You can adjust the height it is thrown. It's tough when you live in a townhouse and the garden is tiny, but we manage.
Maybe you can do a short video in real time so we can hear how the motor sounds under load?
Perhaps. Let me thaw out first, lol.
Where is the headlight switch located?
At the rear of the machine, top edge.

Hey Mark. light switch is at the top rear of the machine. So far no problems, will be using again today after coffee, lol.

Do u use add salt in ur driveway prior to snow?
I only use salt on the driveway for ice. The snow just covers it really quickly and doesn't really do much.
Anyone notice what's the power bill like after a month of using this? It's got to be cheaper than gas I assume?
I hate snow. Just got in from blowing and shovelling the same crap here.
Still much easier than shoveling it all though.
How is it doing now one year later?

Was this video shot in Scotland?
No, Ontario Canada.
@@ScottRods Oh thats why you got all that snow.
You call that deep snow? I'm originally from Northeastern Minnesota, and I beg to differ...we don't measure snowfall in inches, we measure it in feet.
