As a Newcastle fan (even though it will hurt) you should cover the 95-96 season where we lost out on the title to Man United under Keegan. Literally 12 points clear and an utter collapse. I was too young to witness it properly then but my uncles still go on about it to this day!
Reminds me of the team that I support. Hamilton were top of the Scottish Premiership for a good while. Unfortunately we ended up selling our manager to Norwich then went on a losing streak to finish 7th.
Ben Cowley I hope your enjoying being bottom of the championship in your 17th consecutive season in the second tier. Just face it, you support a banter club
Another quality video chaps! I tried to incorporate some of the earlier tactic videos into my FM17 series with some success, keep making these excellent videos.
Tottenham 94/95 would make a solid video. Irregular payments, points deductions, kicked out the FA Cup, Hansen saying "who'd sign for Spurs" then going and signing Klinsmann. The poor start, the Francis rejuvenation, the FA Cup run and the sense that Spurs were destined for the cup only to get blown away in the semis. A disappointing end to a truly crazy season.
I'm an American and never liked soccer here. But I came across English League football and am fascinated. Here are the clubs that for one reason or another I like: Bournemouth, Bradford City, Plymouth Argyle, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday.
Jack Freidel Init, could talk about how between 1905 (When Chelsea were founded) and 1954 (The year before they won their first major trophy), they averaged the highest attendances 9 times, including a season in div 2 and a season when we went down. Could also talk about when we won the 1971 European Cup Winners Cup, before Liverpool one their first major European trolhy
great content! keep it up! could you guys do norwich city finances? or somthing to do with overseas ownership vs british/english ownership, kind of a big topic area right now!
I believe you should do a video on Wrexham FC. they are a small non league club but are the third oldest in the world and have a very interesting history.
Everton 2004/05 season please. When a club tipped for relegation finished 4th, then fought out with Liverpool for Champions League qualification that summer
December 12th defeat against Manchester United was at Old Trafford, not Carrow Road - I was there. The Carrow Road return fixture is mentioned correctly a few minutes later.
Can you do a History of Doncaster Rovers? Relegated to non Leauge and nearly liquidated after a former Chairman tried to burn the ground down, only to ten years later beat Leeds United at Wembley to get promoted to the Championship for the first time in 50 years. Football league Trophy wins, Leauge cup quarter finals against Arsenal all in between. Since the Wembley win we also had that amazing day against Brentford to win Leauge One on the last game of the season (look it up). Doncaster Rovers are surely worth a video. Rovers Till I Die.
Do West Ham's 85/86 season. We finished 3rd only 4points behind double winners Liverpool. Or do something on Graham Taylor's Club management career. Or, how Blackburn became the 1st team to buy the title and thus change football for ever.
I was 11 in 1992 and didn't really understand what was going on at Carrow road at the time. Wish i had. What a special time.... we'll never have it again... not with Delia here. We could have done a Leicester before Leicester did.... that spurs game did for us. Had we of won that we'd have beaten Ipshit and caught united....
Sheffield Wednesday league cup win in the early 90's. Beat rivals in the semi final and then beat machchester united in the final. Would love to see this made
Would like to see more individual seasons. Nottm Forest 1994/95 season. Or Sunderland's 1999/00 season where Phillips and Quinn ripped up the premier league!
You do get odd curiosities with goal difference. A few years ago Gamba Osaka got relegated from the Japanese J1 League with a positive goal differential. I don't think I've seen or read a case of a team getting relegated despite scoring more goals then they conceded. Gamba Osaka didn't even have any point deductions either
Can you do a tactics video about the "Raumdeuter" and how it differs from an Inside Forward and other Attacking Midfielders? Could you talk about the Germany national football team's tactic in World Cup 2014 as well?
you have to do one on Nottingham forrest, they have a very intriguing history as they are the only European Cup winners to be relegated into the 3rd tier of their domestic league.. im from the united states and have always been a big admirer of European football particularly the Prem and i just learning about the history of the game.. please do a cover on forrest please
If my memory serves me correctly Norwich played a 4-4-2 but with a difference. They played it more like a 1-3-4-2, deploying one of their centre backs as a Sweeper and had it down to a fine art. I guess the offside rules back then meant it could work? You never hear of sweepers now. I think they won most of their games away from home.
I just realized that he's made a mistake. The first game was at Old Trafford if I'm not wrong. The second one was where United ripped them apart in counter attacks at Carrow Road.
would you do any narratives on Scottish teams, eg rangers 9 in a row, or Celtic/Aberdeen's early attacks on European football, or the history of Jock Stein would be an awesome one ^^
Seeing a lot of love for Rangers/Celtic/Scotland. Will put some of the ideas down for potential videos. The two Glasgow clubs may be making an appearance in a new series down the line
Can you do one on Hungary's golden age team of the 1950s?
That would be dope
Nunurayi Matimba that would be sick

what? Norwich getting some external exposure??... This isn't supposed to happen
ikr we are supposed to be that slightly boring yoyo club
Newcastle 95-96. Were 12 points clear at the top in January.
Nottingham forest 1977-1980. From 2nd division to back to back champions leagues.
As a Newcastle fan (even though it will hurt) you should cover the 95-96 season where we lost out on the title to Man United under Keegan. Literally 12 points clear and an utter collapse. I was too young to witness it properly then but my uncles still go on about it to this day!

Think it would be interesting if you covered the struggles Manchester United went through before the Sir Alex Ferguson era
COME ON YOU YELLOWS
Oh and don't forget the 5th & 4th placed finishes in the late 80s to complete a hattrick of Heysel related missed opportunities.
It was because of the ban in this season too as the number of European places was slowly restored over a number of seasons until the mid 90s.
💚💛
In your best ever season you loose to us twice.
Says a lot
Ben Cowley I hope your enjoying being bottom of the championship in your 17th consecutive season in the second tier. Just face it, you support a banter club
aberdeen 1979 - 1986 ferguson era

I agree!
The new style was refreshing. Loved it. I feel there's times for both the serious styles and the more carefree nature like this
Seriously love this channel

excellent insight into football stories.. please please make more of these. a bit longer too wouldn't hurt...
These take a very long time to make, plus people's attention span is usually very poor! But thank you!
This is my most favourite video. It's very inspiring and teaches we can achieve a lot if we really want to.

Well, I for one enjoyed listening to the new voice, keep mixing it up guys

Just subbed after watching most of your previous vids over the past weeks. Love the content, keep it up :)
Great Video, like that this channel explores all football and not just the top teams. Would love it if you could do one on Sheffield Wednesday.
I believe you should do a video on Wrexham FC. they are a small non league club but are the third oldest in the world and have a very interesting history.
Ian!! David Moyes righting the ship at Everton on no budget.
Who the fuck is the new voice? He's fucking brilliant! Such enthusiasm and interest in the topic. Love him. Keep it up lad.
I really like Ian and his videos, keep them up!
Great stuff!
We love the former voice!!...Still best analysis channel in the world
Mike Walker .....the man who's name still puts a chill down the spone of Evertonians to this day !
The fact that he called this Norwich team a proto Leicester just proves that what Leicester did was special
This is really amazing stuff here
Do West Bromwich Albion! Great escape!
Donavan McMahon I agree
Everton 2004/05 season please. When a club tipped for relegation finished 4th, then fought out with Liverpool for Champions League qualification that summer

You just took me back to typing in hours worth of data from a computer magazine onto a ZX81, then finding out Donkey Kong wouldn't play.
Do one of these for Swansea in 1981? We were top with 8 games to go and finished 6th
very interesting, as usual!
Cheers man!
Great commentary..
I want the old one back. Please.
