Yeah I used to think the same thing! As a Real Madrid fan, I never thought that he was signed to Real Madrid that way!! Perez is one of the most crooked president Real Madrid ever has.

+tiagovalen Exactly lol.. Barcelona didn't win until 2006, he won with Real in 2002 and was already moved on with his life and career to Italy by the time Barca was good enough to win their title.
You forgot to mention 2 facts: - Figo, on the last seasons in Barça, was named Captain allways in absence of guardiola or luis enrique, wich was common duo to the age of both. - Before making a deal with Florentino, FIgo pressured Barça's president to make a new contract. At that time he was payed way fewer than Rivaldo and thought he's importance on the club deserved more credibility by the president. Besides being captain he was the playmaker of Barça at that time. I suspect Figo revealed the intentions of Florentino to Barça staff to put even more pressure to make a new contract with Barça. I was also think Barça's president didn't believe Figo would go "crazy mode" and become a traitor to Barça fans(he was the damn captain), so he didn't sign a new contract. Yes, Luis Figo betrayed Barça fans, but the fault is not only on his shoulders. Barcelona's president is also guilty. Anyway very nice video, and very nice channel. Subscribed

The two transfers are totally not related. Figo was sold in July 2000 while Ronaldinho was signed in the summer of 2003. There are three years in between. Moreover, there was a big difference between the team that Figo left in 2000 and the team Ronaldinho arrived at in 2003.
Ronaldo and Figo played in the same position so yes there is two years where Barcelona was suffering but Ronaldinho was definitely a direct replacement nonetheless. It's not easy replacing the best player in the world obviously they tried with Overmars but failed. But fact is Ronaldinho would probably never been a Barcelona player if Figo was still around so yea it was related.

Yea, keep telling yourself that when they roll over what ever team you think is bigger then them. Alternatively, if we are talking about actual size (money, members, etc.), you can go and look up the last 10 years worth of statements for most if not all the clubs. There will be things called "facts" there, these are irrefutable because they are just fucking true. So when you see that Barca has been in the top 5 earners for the last 10 years and the top 2 for the last few (at times being numero uno), your notion that they aren't one of the biggest clubs in the world will wither and die. If it doesnt, you are lying to yourself and need to do some soul searching.
Well if you want to look at things historically, how about you do a comparison of other clubs (i.e. Manchester United) against Real Madrid? I can *almost* say that you would pair in comparison historically without looking up any facts or figures. You present facts contrary to what I'm saying and I will concede. Otherwise you're just some guy spewing nonsense that he had no idea about.

He's now a much improved player now that he goes for those quick efficient passes.
the old Ronaldo played to entertain the fans but the current Ronaldo plays to win the match for the team...
absolutely love these
One of the best football channels on youtube. Love it.
Cheers Tom!
Can you do a False 9 WhiteBoard Tactic? would be very interesting
So, Perez's journey starts from there and it continues...
Now I understand why Barca fans hate "Papa Perez"
G.O.A.T president 🙏
On his way to beat Qatar and sign Mbappe
this channel is just wonderful. keep up the great work!
Thank you Lucas!
Definitely the most interesting channel going.

Great video. Great channel. Keep it up
We will!
Thanks for making the already great videis funny..keep it up!
So basically this is where it all begins. Luis Figo is the man behind what Real Madrid is today. Bravo ! Mr. Florentino Perez...that's one way to slay down your opponents. if you can't beat them, buy them. #halamadrid
Absolutely love this channel
this was the 1st transfer I knew about in football...it was so viral that it was shown as breaking news in non football country like India.
How long do these take to make??
A copious amount of time
uMAXit Football very impressive. subbed and liked
do you work for umaxit or are they your sponsor
The people creating the videos on the channel are a part of umaxit as a whole
Can you please make a video showing how a high profile player that has moved from one team as a star to totally botching it at his new team eg. Andriy Shevchenko, Andrey Arshavin, Memphis Depay etc
I must say this video and the channel in general are dope!
you guys make and present one of "theeee best" videos on the internet..amazing :D
Wow. Love your mini documentary. Very well
Your videos are just class!!!
This channel added value and credibility to the already fascinating transfer saga of Figo. Great story for us. #HALAMADRID
Rohit Ghosh great? this showed the dirty side of your president and your club!
For god sakes, we live in a capitalist age and only the sore socialists' loser would make a fuss about being tricked and Barca don't learn from their mistakes.....remember the De Stefano deal ....... for a business man like Perez it's easy to trick Barca presidents!!!! And at the end, it was up to Figo and he took the right decision.
Great video I have to say I didn't know a lot of this
This video brings a great joy in the hearts of Real Madrid fans 😁
Your channel is a hidden gem in this vast pile of dirt we call UA-cam.
This was next level!!!! I remember this.
Your videos are amazing mate
Keep up the great work
All hell did break loose when this transfer happened , think it caused a riot ! Great vid again 😊
hey guys love the videos, love the insight. In light of Juventus revealing their new club badge today, I think a video on the history of a clubs badge and the reasons for including or excluding certain elements as they've changed could be cool. keep it up!
Great job guys on the video.
Always was curious about the story of why Figo switched sides and now I know.
Very well explained and informative. Thumbs up.
what can i say ?perez masterclass .
Amazing video, as always. Keep up the great work, mate!
Great videos keep it up!!
Wow man great video. I would recommend it to all cules just so they know about the inner ongoings of one of the most notorious transfers in football history. But the hate for Figo runs so deep that I'm doubtful it'll make any difference now and change people's opinions of him.
I saw Figo's interview after 15 years . He said something different .
Brilliant channel!
very informative stuff. keep it up
this was really good
amazing story telling bro 👍🏾
Florentino perez one of the most influential president in football history
You guys honestly deserve so much more praise and way more views and subs than you do have. You guys are better than the pundits on MOTD. Fact.
I remember watching this video and thinking it’d be a great documentary….and now there’s one coming out on Netflix
Pep and Luis Enrique with the original "se queda"
I love your videos and artistic cartoon style it lifts my spirits
I never knew that story...brilliant.
I love this channel great job
Thanks Jose!
wow, i never knew this, it was a childrens mistake, he didnt want to leave barca, and ive always noticed he never played that good again, he didnt run.
Florentino Perez is a recommended topic. I think he has something we can to learn from him as a president and a businessman who is a sign of Madrid for about 2 decades.
Simply excellent
This is a great video.
I didn't know half of this stuff
perez is like the don king of football...stick with them when they are on the rise and kick them out when they are on the fall
You can let other know about Hagi as well who moved from Barca to Real. Much appreciated in Romania and Turkey.
And plz do how Cruyff made Barcelona the greatest club.........A video on his tactics and philosophy like he told Barcelona to open a academy.....Plz.....Thx.
Real Madrid earns the most money, has the most fans, is the richest club, best club historically...
Real Madrid are nothing more than galacticos...
Kushagra Jain and barcelona are MLS leveled club....
i had no idea about the details of this transfer, i thought he went for more money, great video
liam cooney Still did IMO. The only reason why he accepted Perez's offer was due to the signing on money and he viewed the chances of him leaving for Real as slim.
beats any mainstream
sports outlet today
Like the Noir vibe to the video! Nice Video!
Are you guys going to re-do this , after the revelations in the new Netflix Documentary, would be interesting to include the newly revealed info .
You genius Flo.
