Maybe different traditional holiday cookies, a LFF with holiday leftovers, or an anti-Thanksgiving that celebrates indigenous foods.
Christmas breads and cookies, but real ones! Like panettone, Stollen and Spekulatius (Germany), pan de jamón ( Venezuela), Buñuelos (Colombia and other places), Pepparkakor and Saffron buns (Sweden), Rosca de Reyes (México). I think in LA you probably have a great selection of authentic Holiday breads, coffee cakes and cookies to sample.

Every year Trader Joe's releases a list of their fan voted best products. I think it would be a great year end video if you did Battle of the Best to see what really lived up to the hype!
Oo I got excited when y’all mentioned hydrox when you ate the jojos! The chemical sounding name of hydrox was actually an intentional choice! It’s one of those things that to us is weird but in the context of the time when the cookie came out made sense. Hydrox was meant to sound like hydrogen, like H2O, to give people the impression it was clean and pure like water. That’s also where the flowery design on the cookies came from which Oreos also shamelessly ripped off. Food theory has a video about it if anyone wants to go down a sandwich cookie rabbit hole.

I am always amazed how Kitchen manages to partake in a bunch of snacks WITHOUT messing up her lipstick! I went to sushi with my brother and my lipstick was gone after the first yellow tail roll. I didn't even bother to re-apply. Those people don't know me!
Try a liquid matte lipstick. That stuff STICKS!

The Rimmel 16 hr lipstick is awesome. I wear it for my double shift at work and even eat lunch and drink coffee and it stays on all day!
I usually reapply at least once!

I don't even have Trader Joe's in my country (as far as I'm aware), and I rarely go to Aldi, but I love these style of videos.
A buddy's kid calls profiteralls "poppers" because they couldn't pronounce it, and their parents are sweet wholesome people that have no idea of why I laugh very hard about this particular thing and I will never tell them.
My son started calling smarties candies “party vitamins”, and I have yet to correct him because it’s the funniest thing to me

@@kelsey2333 Smarties are a type of candy in the US (probably other places too) that are pastel colored and feel a lot like a stick of chalk. The individual candies are round and small like pills or vitamins. They are party vitamins probably because they taste better than actual vitamins.

I'm from Denmark and we have something similar to the Poffertjes (Aebleskiver in Danish). Eaten warm and dipped in sugar and a great strawberry or raspberry jam, they're heaven!
Yes, in Germany we have fresh ones on Christmas markets every year, they are really yummy. ♥️

The best way to spend my study break. I’m studying to become a therapist and I love how open Kitchen and Jorn are about mental health.
Being a therapist is my dream job. To bad I don't feel like I could ever get through the schooling:( I'm 26 and still dont have my GED or diploma though. So I wanna become a peer support for an inpatient treatment facility. Because I've been to like 30 of those (not even exaggerating😬😬) in my lifetime plus about 10 hospital visits for mental health. I wanna help people with what I have gone through
Them putting the GF muffins in the penalty box when I just had them and loved them 😂 (in fact the gf coffee cake muffins at TJ’s are the best muffins I’ve ever had)

I went to my TJ's ten times searching for the apple cider jam and the maple ice cream. I never got the ice cream but I finally found ONE JAR of the apple cider jam at a random TJs I went to on a trip and when I asked if they were getting more, the lady came back and took the display card down because they were done for the season. I will be eating it with a tiny tiny spoon now I guess.
Two years!! I have been here since the beginning and even into the BF days too, I am shocked at how much time has passed. Congrats guys!

Will you try some holiday baking hacks? The most recent one I keep seeing is making pumpkin spice cookies out of boxed spice cake and canned pumpkin. Some chest recipes just say to add those two things, other will include other ingredients. Maybe a video making & reviewing which hack recipe is best 🎃

I wish they had that streusel bread year-round honestly because while it's not the most fun to eat by itself, when you let it get stale, it makes AMAZING french toast!

Poffertjes are pronounced poffert-yis, and they’re a Dutch mini pancake! They’re cooked in frying pans with many little divots and are best eaten (imo) with some maple syrup and powdered sugar!
I'm Dutch and I was like "do NOT tell me they're going to try these without anything on them"! 🤦🏼♀️ They're traditionally eaten piping hot with a very generous dusting of icing sugar and a big slab of butter on top so it melts all over the poffertjes. Another classic way is drizzling them with Grand Marnier or Cointreau (in addition to the butter and sugar).
Been waiting for this one. My local TJs has like 37,000 fall items and I’m not trying them all. Thank you for your service!

The pumpkin sticky toffee cake is my new TJ's fave. They''re amazing heated up, like the instructions state, and serve with vanilla ice cream. They are super sweet and the ice cream helps cut through it.

Poffertjes! Delicious! Indeed they are only small pancakes, but you can eat them with powdered sugar. Some people also add butter.
Poe-ferr-chus :) in the winter/summer there's tents/stands that sell them with powdered sugar & butter usually (at least what I remember from elementary school lol)
just so you know poffertjes are mini pancakes. in the Netherlands we make them and eat them with syrup or powdered sugar. we also have pans where in you can make them.

DUTCH PRONUNCIATION LESSON: the “proffer” at the beginning is pronounced exactly how its spelled. The “tje” is a super common suffix in Dutch and Flemish, and it is used to indicate smallness (direct translation of proffertjes is something close to “mini pancake”). The tje sound is pronounced closer to the English “ch” sound with an “uh” on the end, because the e is pronounced. Proffer-chuh.

That uber sweet with bitter aftertaste phenomenon is usually due to artificial sweeteners, not gluten free flours.

The “apple cider spread” seems like it may be similar to Apple Butter (not dairy based it’s like a thickened spiced apple sauce) and it is in fact heaven. My great grandma would make a molasses spiced “apple stack cake” with lots of the apple butter between each layer every Christmas when she was alive. It’s a traditional Appalachian recipe and I managed to recreate hers last year so we were able to have the amazing cake for the first time in over a decade 🥹❤️
