Will this fit on a Palisade? I worry about the black cushion on front and if hood will close or light shine through?
@@starkillernoir7975 It should work on the Palisade. My Honda Pilot has the same cushion strip
Please be wary of this company, they withdrew my money when they had no intention of shipping to my address. I had to contact them to inquire where my order was. They had no intention of contacting me but took my money. I'm very disappointed. Please be wary of this company and verify that they will ship to you before you make an order, if you can even get the phone number to work.
Thanks
Great video and instructions. It’s hard to find a reliable product with all the crazy links going around. The installation portion was also appreciated. Been trying to find something like this for quite a bit. Hopefully it enhances my stock lights. Aftermarket ones seem to have a hefty price tag and lengthy confusing install.
Thanks. I like these as they are good quality.
The startup sequence is very slick feature.
Hey, thanks for posting this! I was looking for those SilverHolder LED strips all over the place! Saw them on Instagram and thought they were pretty cool looking.
Yes. These are great! Cool feature
Thanks for sharing, how much would you charge to install on a Sonota?
@@omarocegueda6132 where you located?
I ordered but I haven’t hear anything back from them
2:51 _'So you can see the LED lights.'_
Thank you. An important point.
Love your videos just wish you would show how it looks with the other lights on as well
Great video....thank you so much....cheers from Halifax nova scotia Canada
Just ordered one hopefully it's as hood as you say cheers
i want to connect it to my headlight but it has two wires coming from it so do i connect the T tab to them both or to one
Thanks for the great video. I just ordered this for my car.
On the seller's website they mentioned these can be wired into the turn signal. Any tips for that? Or would you recommend that not be done? I would assume you would need 2 separate strips, one for each signal, right? I am familiar with tape/rope lights and know how to solder lead wires onto them. Just looking for some advice. Thanks.
Also I noticed that you didn't show anything about trimming the end of the light strip. Usually most tape lights have designated points for cutting. Is that the same case here?
You can purchase turn signal ones. These are for your hood. Much longer. This is turn signal ones. m.silverholder.com/product/singlecolor/ref/23/
Good job- I don’t know what a DRL is but I’ll figure it out. Getting ready to install this puppy.
You got this! DRL is Daytime Running Lights. Some cars have them.
@@AutoSensation Why would you connect it to DRL when the DRL lights goes off when the regular headlights turn on?
Thank you for the video and instructions! Quick question: if I have to cut the strip, do I need to cut both sides (so the center stays the same) or can I just cut one and it will know where the center is?
Recommended not to cut. It will be off centered.
Nice video man!
Thanks
I want to put 2 of these on the front of my 2015 chevy silverado. Where can i hook 2 of them at to work properly?
Question: When you use a multi-meter for the DRL...are you having your running lights on and then checking for power going to one of those wires when the DRL is on? I'm guessing yes :)
Yes
Great video. Where can you get the switch assembly unit? never seen these before in the UK.
amzn.to/3E8Z45s
Hey, I really appreciate you doing this. I’ve been looking for a review on this exact product. I’ve been seeing advertisements all over Instagram and my Facebook. Finally found a video to what the LED looks like on a vehicle and how to install it.
Question: couldn’t you wire the black/ground to the negative of the DLR? Or it has to be wired to a ground? Like your battery, or a screw connect to the body of the vehicle?
Pretty sure you can connect it to the negative of the DRL. I just found it easier to ground it to miy swirch assembly.
@@AutoSensation Question! I have led running lights on my Kia forte GT line 2020 and I’d would like to run the stripping on those instead of the DRL would they still work properly
@CodaCain yes. Everytime your running lights would turn on, so will the good strip as you will be using that as your power source
Purchased and it was very easy to install. Definitely recommend.
I need someone to help me install mine.
@@emmanuelfonchin3280 right the sticking part is the only thing I can do 😂
Also, on the product website, is there a difference between the dynamic white and static white in terms of how they look?
Dynamic white will have the scan feature. Static will not.
So I got these for Christmas and was excited to install them I have a 2013 Camaro I got the piggy a back so I could use the fuse for my driving lights did everything and they done work
Nice
I have got one with the winker lights. I have 2 questions.
1. How can I connect the red one with my ACC and finding out the correct fuse for it?
2. How can I connect the other two wires with the winker?
Hello, is the dynamic white version one complete LED strip or a bunch of individual white led lights put together?
Bunch of leds but looks like one strip. Seamless. Can't really see the LEDs individually when on. Looks like one piece.
What if the DRLs are Switch Backs with turn signals also? Wont that cause an issue when using the blinker? Needing something to tap into.
Yes. I would tap into something in the fuse box.
Hi i have a question, the multicolor app control led strip does has the dynamic start sequence also or is only the white one only?????
No. Only the white and blue one have dynamic start.
Anyone installed this on a Mazda CX-5? I’m curious how it looks and how the install went.
If no DRL what circuit then? Lights or accessories? Hopefully mine show up soon. I tracked them to Chicago yesterday so hopefully here soon. Going on my wife's 95 Z28.
Lights or acc or ign will work.
How about when you are at the drive in? Would the that apply to the same concept when turning off your light?
It will mimic to whatever power source you apply to it.
Wow very impressive!!! 4:57
How easy is this to connect to a Toyota rav 4 2017? I have aftermarket led lightbulbs that are always on even on auto mode . if I connect them to the same wire will this be on all the time too? Thank you in advance.
Yes. They will follow your aftermarket bulbs.
That fuse hook up with the red wire where did you get the one in your video you plug into the acc fuse box or what is it called
amzn.to/3VgALdf
Do you have a video instructions for an 2018 F150?
My Fuse for low beam headlight has 10 amp it should be fine if i hook up my red wire there, right?
Yes. That will be fine
2 questions would this make my hood be open and riding on the safety hook and do they always turn on with the car or can u make them turn on with the headlights
Yes. They can turn on with your headlights. You just have to connect the red wire to your headlight fuse.
Hey... I did mine last night. Great product. My only problem is that I attached to the grill and a small amount of the red tape from the top of the strip is showing. If I pull off then it might stick to hood as well. Any ideas on getting the glue off the top of the strip?
I don't know how to remove the adhesive easily. I would try to just put a little oil on the adhesive so it does not stick any more or place a clear tape on top of it.
WD40. Removes all adhesive glue
@@AutoSensation goo gone works great to remove any residue
How many amps are required to run this light? Thinking of wiring it to my drl fuse which is 7.5a using a fuse tap so I will need a second fuse for this light and just need to know what amperage is needed
Not sure. But I have two in different cars. One has 7.5A and the other has 10A. No reason juts that I ran out of 7.5A so I used a 10A one.
!!!Thanks for the video.,I have one just like that.. but I need a hand..need to find the Drl fuse in my cr-v 2017...will appreciate your help
Check near or under the fuse panel cover. it should be labeled.
Hello, I have one question, are this LED Strips allowed in Germany? The german TÜV is so strict here. 😉
I think this could look nice on my new Ford MK8. 🤔
Not sure the laws in Germany.
Can you help me answer this question? Where would you connect the RED wire on 2014 nissan altima. I don't see the fuse for ACC or Ignition on the hood.
Any fuse that shuts off when the vehicle turns off. And turns on when you start the vehicle. You can use a voltage meter. Could be cig fuse, horn fuse, or something like that
Will this work with a C300 MB - how to connect it to the fuse box...can you post a video? Thank you!
I wanna know the same
Can you Connect to the black and red wire directly to the battery
Since your DRL's are on every time you start the car, why not just tap an accessory position on the fuse box under the hood? Would make the installation a LOT less complicated than pulling moldings and inner wheel wells.
That’s exactly what I was thinking for my 2020 escape
I couldn't find the drl fuse. However, after I did find a fuse I could use but shuts off about 1 minute or 2 after the engine is off.
@@AutoSensation what was that fuse for? That sounds okay to me!
@Vegasbab.y on the Honda Pilot it says STOP LIGHT. Not sure if that's the brake lights.
I tried it on my Mazda CX-5 fog fuse, but it would never turn off, even if I turned the engine off. My next attempt is to try the headlight assembly.
If I have to cut the length I assume the sequential start would be off center?
For the hood LED strip. I don't think you can cut as you are right it will be off centered.
Why does it have 3M tape on both sides? Do you have to stick them again on the second side? Or did you leave the tape after installing on the top covered.
I'd think to only peel the part that's actually going to stick.
How do you find the DRL wire to tap into? And if I tap into DRL, will they work at night?
Some cars have DRL fuse in the fuse box. You can use that. If not, unplug one headlight harness and use a volt meter. Note which wire has no current going through when the vehicle is off. Now start the car and check the wires again to which one now has current going through. More than likely you can use that wire.
question.... can i just wire the positive to the positive terminal on my battery, i have a benz and dont wanna take anything apart
You can however the lights will never turn off. You need a switch of some sort.
I want to buy it but not sure which one. I like the white light most but I would also like to have the option to change the color of I want to, however I saw another review saying the colors on the multi color are weak especially the white. Is this true? What is the difference in brightness? I would really appreciate your assistance and response. Thank you
Yes.The white is not pure white. It's a combo of RGB to make white. Not bright. If your looking for brightness dynamic white would be the way to go.
Thank you
So basically it might look cheesy if I don't go with the Dynamic White? Lol
What is the recommended LED fuse amperage for the strip, will a 10 amp be sufficient
10 amp is sufficient.
Hi… I’ve been trying to install these but no success every time i connect it the strip is always on so far i’ve connected it to several fuses on the box but the strip is always on any suggestions on how to do this i connected it to the dtrl but again always on with the truck on or off
Maybe some of the fuse your connecting to have a delay. Connect then shut off the vehicle then wait a few mins. It may turn off. i know some of my fuses have delays
Whats a good wire to hook it up to other than the drl? The red wire
Ign or cigarrette plug fuse
Can you cut the end of the strip to fix exact or would the break it?
You can cut but it's not recommended. The light would not be centered after cut.
will they work on A 23 LIGHTNING??
Can I cut the dynamic hood LED's? I'm about 16" too long to fit between my lights.
Not recommended as the lighting sequence will be off centered.
when watching this , too have a pilot and the daytime running lights are not shown lit. have another video that shows all three lights on. headlights, running lights and the new strip
Where else can’t you connect the red wire, struggling to connect it on my Kia K5 GT line
In your fuse box. Look for any acc, ign or cigarette fuse. That should do. Use a voltage meter to see which one has power when vehicle is on and cuts off when vehicle is off.
I don't know anything about cars, is the best way to do this through the fuse box like you did on your other video? This one you were removing molding and what not. Does it matter on the car? I have a 2021 Kia K5
Yes. The best and easiest way will be through the fuse box.
@@AutoSensation Thank You!
@@AutoSensation Do I need extra wiring to splice them together? Curious what exactly I need. I see lots of options for that piggy back thing for the fuse. Thanks
@Izzdan I just would recommend the piggy back fuse.
I wish you had throughly explained how you tapped it to your headlight socket with detailed video. That is the hardest part.
Try this video. This is how I figured out which is my DRL. ua-cam.com/video/Ha3uW_RP5HA/v-deo.html
So cool! Im waiting to get mine in the mail any day now. Can you do it on the back of car?
You could connect to the back but I think you would need red. Other colors might not be legal depending on state.
Hi Greg i Hope you can help me.
For my project i need light strips that change color after the light check sequential scan feature can you tell me how to do it???
P.s i need to strong light for my front bumper
thank you so much for the big big Help🙏
Not sure how to make this work
@@AutoSensation hi Greg I wrote you on Instagram because I can't put my Email here
Thks and see you soon🙂
Are they legal to have in new jersey?
How do I get it to run the same lighting effect thats on your video?
It's all automatic. Once connected the start sequence will begin
I want to put it on my 2020 Corolla but I don’t want it to turn on when I start the car, I want it on when the headlights turn on… I was thinking about connecting the red line to the headlights fuse… has anyone done it the way I’m going to? Please share and thanks 🙏
What if my car does not come with drl fuse as standard? Where else can I tap into or fuse
You can use any fuse that shuts off when the vehicle is off. Preferably below 10 amps. You can tap directly to a power source wire like parking lights.
hey auto sensation. I have a tesla model y 2022, and i want to install the dynamic led strip to my car, but i cant find any guide for the tesla installation
Can you please make a video how to do that?
Teslas can’t do it because they are teslas
So I believe the way the hood of the Tesla model Y is designed it would not sit how you want it because the gap is so small. I consider doing this on my model X but after looking it over I don’t think it would work.
hi i need help i have audi a3 s-line 2019 year model can you advise me or send me any videos how i can install easily? Because i don’t get acc ?
Do you have a voltage meter? Use that to find a fuse that has no current when the vehicle is off. Then turn on the engine and check if that same fuse has current. If you find one use a piggy back fuse or fuse tap to connect the red wire.
After i turn off the car the drl stays on, is that normal and what is the timing for it to turn off
Depends on the power source you connected to. If your source has a delay the it will shut off after X amount of time has passed.
Id love to get one of these with a remote control.. (in white color)
So are these basically DRL’s? Or can we turn them off whenever we wish?
If you connect to a switch you can turn on and off on demand.
My car don’t have drl lights it just have normal fog lamps so can you please advice me how to Install it please
Sure. You can tap into a fuse in your fuse box. Look for a fuse that is on when the can is on and turns off when the car is off. Example your ign or acc or horn fuse. ua-cam.com/video/6FOzY19TLbw/v-deo.html
So is it possible to connect directly to fuse box and would it matter which one I used? Like Amperes wise, because on my car there are many with different amps and I’m trying not to mess anything up like blowing the fuse itself
Use a piggy back fuse and I would recommend at least 7.5 fuse. Use one that does not stay on when the vehicle is off.
@@AutoSensation wanted to use my ACC fuse which would be my cigg lighter socket etc also is a 25A would that be sufficient and safe also would I just wrap the wiring around the fuse tooth and install or??? Thanks 👍
@@CaneSsoLOVING I would suggest getting one of these. amzn.to/3LdNmMg
@@AutoSensation I actually ordered those last night! I didn't totally understand it.. so I would use my original 25A fuse but where does the other fuse come from to go into the 2nd socket? The 2nd fuse would have to be lower that 25A correct?
@@CaneSsoLOVING the other slot with the wire in line would be for your new circuit. You can use a lower amp foir the led strip. 10A would be good.
Can this be installed on my 2020 Nissan Rogue SL cause it looks easy to install but I’m not that comfortable doing this myself.
Yes. Tapping into the fuse is the easiest way.
@@AutoSensation thank you for getting back to me. I’ll think about this but I’m considering on getting this, it looks cool and my Rogue is a Pearl white so I think it will look sharp on it.
can this be tag on either side of the headlights? Thanks.
Yes. Does not matter which side
Is there any other kinds of strips that do the sequential effect? I would like to slice and cut the strip. Im working on somehting for my headlights and would like the sequential effect to be there. Would you know what makes that fire the effect aswell?
They have smaller ones that do the same effect for the top of your headlight. m.silverholder.com/ref/23/
@@AutoSensation I saw that. I checked them out. It doesn’t look like you can cut them. My shape of headlight is not long like the example. I looked into it. Not what im wanting.
The turn signal feature is cool wish you could turn that off. I understand to the creators that they created it this way. That’s why im searching for a different brand hopefully there is one.
@@joel1gamebeast482 You can cut these. I had them. They come in different sizes too. It looks like right now they are out of the white color. amzn.to/3oJXvog
Why on Aliexpress they cost just £10 looking exactly same?
Probably the same but gambling with quality. I've order other products from aliexpress before 3 out of 10 the product quality was good and plus here in the US you usually have to wait for shipping between 1-3 months. I hated waiting that long for something I had to return due to quality issues.
Great video, thanks ! Silly question, can I install 2 of them , I have a big gap so I'd like to fill it by 2 of them, do I just connect the cables to each other and then to the fuse? Cheers
Yea. You can install two of them.
@AutoSensation thanks for the quick response. Can I do it the way I wrote it? Thanks
@markp8686 yes. Just make sure the fuse you connect too can handle. I think 10amp should be good enough

I'm not sure. I don't have a Civic.
Can you do a video with the acc option instead? Where it only does the light up with engine start instead of drl. Thank you!!
Do you mean just the scan effect when the engine starts then. Power off after? I think that would be difficult. You would need to find a power source that has current only on start then shuts off.
@@AutoSensation I know when I read the info on how to install it was a drl option or on engine start. Think I will just go with the drl option since I now have a guide to follow. Thank you again!
Find your fuse box find what fuse starts. Get a fuse tap and tap into the fuse. I did that to my 2019 Ram 1500. I tapped into F35 fuse. It’s a relay switch fuse. Very very easy but definitely seems scary but it isn’t. Recommend getting a fuse tester. You can’t mess up. There is a video out someone did same as my truck I followed he’s video. It’s all similar video tips doesn’t have to be exact video as ur car.

I can close the hood all the way.
Quick question do all cars have a dlr? And could I just connect it to my battery???
No. not all cars have DRL. I wouldn't connect directly to the battery. It will not shut off and drain your battery. Find a different fuse if you have not DRL. Ign fuse or cig fuse and good options.

Yes. Side emmitting
What color is the wire on the pilot for the drl
Not too sure the color. I tested with a volt meter.
Does has to be wired to your head to get the sequential effect?
No. You van wire to any power source. However, sequential effect will happen on initial start. Example. If wired to your high beams. Sequential sequence will only happen once you turn your high beams on. Once you turn off the high beams the entire light unit will turn off.

I have a Refreshed 2022 Silverado 1500 RST. I installed this recently on my truck and maybe can help someone out there who may have some questions on this install with the same truck. Firstly I installed it on the actual hood of the truck in front of the weather strip(just my preference). You cannot see the light at all from installing it in this location(tape the light itself almost dead even to slightly proud of the edge of the hood). I ran the wires through the hood and grounded it to the negative battery terminal with a crimped electrical eyelet. The positive(red/hot wire) I ran to the engine fuse panel and used a fuse tap into fuse #28 (Park Lamp Mirror/Grill) using a micro2 5 amp fuse. The light draws about 2 amps so you don't need anything above 5 amps. When installing the fuse tap(install factory fuse on the bottom then the new fuse where the wire is part is) pay attention to the way you pull out the fuse from the panel, you will want to install the new fuse tap in the same direction. The orientation does matter so the spades should all be following in the correct direction.(watch a fuse tap video if you are unclear of what I mean.) It can potentially cause electrical issues if you do not have this orientation correct even though it will "work" either way you put it in. Those of you who have this truck know that when you hit the unlock button there is factory dynamic light show with the blinkers. When using fuse #28 the led light strip WILL activate as well when you unlock the doors in-sync with the front blinkers. The dynamic LED light will NOT stay on constant with just the DRLs on during the day. When the head lights are on at night the LED light will do its automation when the truck is started and stay illuminated until you shut the truck off. Hope this helps!
Great pointers and tips! Very helpful. Thank You
Could you just hook the positive wire to a fuss
