update, after owning these in the uk, the easiest way to install is red to positive on battery and black to negative, constant power and simply turn on and off with your phone app when needed, i did manage to program some nice effects, you go into the screen to change what mode and click on the + then for example, add number 46 (forward trailing red) and then + 47 (backward trailing red) the two modes will then loop and you have your own Knight Rider effect. hope this helps.

Is it possible to set a timer? so after it lights up, it turns off after 10-20 seconds, like a welcome light
Unfortunately, not with this app.
You probably don’t know this but in automotive and in a lot of other cases you do not make a red wire a ground it’s just safer that way what you can do to fix your problem is wrap it in black electrical tape
Yes. I have been told by another fellow subscriber. I learned and changed it to black. I was out of black wire that day of the installation and was lazy to buy more black ones. Now I understand it has some importance. Thanks for letting me know. 😊
I would like to install this on my Hyundai and i see the LED strip sits on hood seal (aka hood weather strip). Is this going obstruct what the seal is supposed to do or does this break Hyundai warranty as far as you know?
Mine does not sit on the weather strip. i don't think it will stick on the strip.
@autosensation Does the strip glue let us undo and re-stick in case we mess up the first time?
@@user-nx9rg4xm2o No not really. If you don't press in and just layout first you may be able to realign. If you pull completely off. It may not stick well the secind time. The adhesive is strong. I transfered to a different vehicle and used this. amzn.to/3Uo7fCB

How to connect it to a 2011 cruze 1.4l engine as idont have those kit to connect to the fuse..Can i just tap it to what ever fuse that it doesnt have power when the engine is off?
Yes. Any fuse will do. I will try to stay between 7.5 amp to 15amps.

Are you sure you got the Hood LED strip? You should only have two wires. Black and Red.

I would use fuse #55 DRL
I bought the one that is only one color, Dynamic LED strip, the package did not include any instructions to follow for safety, you know.
I understand black goes to ground and red to ACC the same way you did it with a Piggyback fuse , so I guess the installation is the same for both types of led strip.

Please help! I have 2015 altima and all fuses are hot all the time so what do i do..
I'm not familiar with the Altima but try shutting off the engine and test again after 5 or so minutes with all the doors closed. The fuses maybe on a time delay.
Greg I think you should have stepped back with the camera so that you could see the whole hood as the corners on the front are a very sharp turn . I have a Prius and it didn't look the best so I finished at the first sharp corners I blacked out the original light with moving it in towards the center then blocked off the light coming from the strip with black duct tape definitely looked a lot better I bought from the internet and sent it back they sent me 1.2m light strip so I only had to block off a few cm each side with the black tape but it made it look a lot better that first bend makes it very difficult to bend the light strip. Anyhow whatever suits each go particular person

i have the same app how do i set it to do my own 2 color combination of either flashing or cycling? like if i want to do green and white is that possible? to make it cycle from green and white or another color combination?
Yes it's possible. On the bottom of your app button second from the right is your custom feature.

You should have one under your hood. Try using the Horn #48 or #29 USB charge port
could you had powered the lights to the 7.5 fuse #18 (daylight running lights) giving you an option to turn the DRL off and the LED strip from inside the car when need to?

In my car manual the fuse box diagram tells me there are a few 10A fuses that are marked as 'spare'. I'm guessing that's the one I'm using when connecting the red wire?
No. That is your spare fuse in case something goes out. It's not connected to anything.
@@AutoSensation Oh okay, I understand now. I looked over it again and see that my ACC fuse is a 40A. So I'll need a piggyback fuse adapter to plug that ACC and this new red wire from the LED set like you did.

@Will depending on how much power your light bar is taking, I would use the battery. Best if you use a switch and a rely.

No. The multicolor ones does not have the start up feature.

It does touch but does not crush it.
Question about the fuse, how about if I want to connect the hood light strip to my DRL and the fuse is 7.5 amp? Would I need it to replace it for a higher amp fuse ?
No. Use a piggy back fuse or add on.
Hi therr i recently got this installed my friend installed it for me, i think he did it backwards the leds light up the engine bay and not thru the grill , as its already connected is there a way to remove it and correct it? If so how would i re stickmit down as both red tapes have been removed ... thanks
Yes. Just pulled out gently and flip the LED strip. You will need to remove th old adhesive and put a new one on. Use this amzn.to/3JpGxFF

Hello how do I install brighter led on 2019 pilot licence plate.
I'm not sure as they are already LED's in a fixture. Need to find a replacement including the housing.
Front of car, with acumulator i dont have fuse box and what can i do with negative pole
You can ground the negative to the chassis with a bolt or look for an unpainted bolt.

Yes. It's universal. You just need to find a good acc fuse to tap into.

Yes I did as it didn't bother me. Others have removed it.
ive just purchased these from silverholder. question... can you add custom modes for the lighting, the inward flow 7 colours and pick which colours etc.. or make a single colour knight rider effect. also, walk away from car after setting the mode,, and light stay on.. until u return and turn off with the app ?

How can I change the color from white to red as soon as the engine is on ?
You can set it to red and it will start at red. As far as transitioning to red from white, I'm not sure that would be possible with this kit.
Is this street legal? A $200 ticket for $20 strip would be stupid
Depending on state. Legal here in WA only if not flashing and in white or amber color

Depending on the gap between the hood and the car. Each car is different but very possible. I have the led turn signal strips and the hood led strip on top.

I think you inserted the piggyback into the fuse box the wrong way.
The line out needs to be on the opposite side of the fuse terminal.
The easiest way to tell if it's wrong is by removing the bottom fuse and seeing if the light strip stops working.
You might be right. I'll have to double check. The piggyback fuse can't turn the other way because of the wire. I might need to look for a different fuse. Thanks

I meant to say bottom (factory fuse). The factory fuse can blow. But the light strip will still be working.

No. Just a tighter fit.

No. The dynamic is true white. This one uses RGB to make white.
Is another model with multifunction effect. & Turning signals....on aliexpress...
Lots on aliexpress however, quality is a 50/50 shot.

Yes. It's universal. Just have the find the right fuse to tap into.

Yes as long as the fuse will have no current when vehicle is off

hi i need help i have audi a3 2019 year model can you advise me or send me any videos how i can install easily?
I have a 2023 Elantra. I have found the correct wire at the headlamp harness to tap for DRL, but both sides are independent and shut off when the turn signal is on. I think I have to tap both lamp assemblies and use diodes to prevent back feeding. Thinking it will be a good idea to use a relay too.

I've ordered it, but wondering.. If the scan feature starts in the center and scans outward left and right, how will that change if you need to shorten the strip? I know starting in the middle and working your way left and right is the way to install, but does that mean you have to "hide" the longer end of the power side?
Yes. Not recommended to cut because the center will not change. If you cut make sure you seal tight for water proof and you must hide the power side to even out.

I installed my dynamic white strip today but my car shows “headlight problem” error on the dash. Do I just need to clear codes?
What kind of car? Most likely you just need a reset. Disconnect the battery, wait a few seconds then connect it again.

Great video! Question about these lights though. Silver Holder also has a "Dynamic Startup" light strip that is just white and has a pretty cool look to it at startup. Will these lights that are colored do the same?
No. The multicolor ones does not have the scanning feature.

What color wire did you connect it too??
Black wire to ground. i used an unpainted bolt. Red wire to my ignition fuse.

Go to your fuse box. Look for a fuse that is stays on when the vehicle is on and is off when the vehicle is off. Use a piggy back fuse to tap into it and connect the red wire. The black wire will connect to an unpainted bolt.

Why is there adhesive tape on both sides?
The wires come out on one end. With tape on both sides you can have the wires either on the left side or the right side of your vehicle. Closer to where your battery or fuse box is.

@Willy B you can remove it. A bit tidious but can be removed. I'm lazy and just left mine. I've heard other put black tape over it but I think that makes it worse.

How are these lights lasting after several months?
After 3 months of normal use. Still runs great. No complaints so far. If I were to change something it will get the dynamic white. Looks better IMO.
@@AutoSensation, Yes I’m planning to order the dynamic white for my 2022 BMW X3. Only thing I purchase besides the led strips is the piggyback fuse right?? In that way I don’t need to do any wire splicing/cutting. Really don’t wanna cut any wires and mess with the electrical stuff on my BMW.

I've gone through 3 of the dynamic ones and they've all failed in less than 3 months. They look great but the wires are extremely thin. How are yours holding up?
You did not show how to connect with your phone I am having prob with that
Download LED LAMP app. On the home page hit the plus sign on the top right. Then on the left tap CAR. Then select RGB DMX
you make no mention on where to find our how to find the APP etc
