No billy just wanted a bunch of percussion. It sounds good with all of these percussionists. for all of you who have NOT been there. it was a very warm and sunny day. it was an open concert, so they played for free for the whole (!) district. the last song they played was sooo unbelieveable loud that it could nauseat you easily... even if you were just in the 40th row. ha ha. it was a totally unknown style of pumpkins music because only the single ava adore had been released so far. - the album was out just some weeks later. so it was a big sursprise to see the pumpkins suddenly in black clothes playing this sorta music. and yeah, I admit, we missed the "mellon collie" side of the pumpkins this eve - but on the other hand we understand that adore had the same intensity like mcis but just on a different more gothic-like level. so "adore" started where the last mcis-song "farewell and goodnight" has ended.
Nice comment and I like your opinion. To me, the Adore tour was some of the best sounding performances ever from the Pumpkins. Through the Eyes of Ruby live from the Adore tour is unbelievable. thank you! :) right, the adore tour version of thu the eyes of ruby is real sorcerous 'n fey! adore tour was not dominated by heavy guitars and synthetic sounds. this way Corgan's voice has much more room and the songs sound somehow timeless. because usually you can associate distortion sounds of e-guitars with certain aereas. for example the machina guitar-sound reminds on the new metal and gothic-rock of the end-90s. it was very heavy, dark, but still modern. the siamese dream e-guitar sound is very early 90s, a "creamy" suburb grunge version. of course they STILL always had a very unique e-guitar sound, but in the adore era they have reached a timeless point for magic summer nights just by throwing away the guitars and stereotypes. ;)

I think this concert is plain beautiful, not boring at all.
D'Arcy was looking great at that time...
Fuck I love Kenny Arnoff, so glad he got the gig for this tour.
billy using a mustang and james using a telecaster, just like 1989
BALDS HAVE SOULS!
I love how there is no cell phones recording. Since a lot of us can’t be there sometimes
It’s nice see footage from
The past. ❤️❤️❤️
God damn they nailed it here! what a great concert. Billys singing is on point, and i Love the setlist
The drummer looks like one of those dads having a midlife crisis who get REALLY into cycling
I get it that Arnoff is a great drummer and everything, but does anyone find him a bit distracting? Chamberlin is just so smooth and makes it look effortless.
Takes two drummers to do what Jimmy chamberlain can do
Agreed ): i loved how James began to do echo guitar solos in songs, it was beautiful, especially in Once Upon A time
que buen show, no es una de mis bandas preferidas pero este concierto me gusto mucho
this is like the st anger version of the smashing pumpkins
So many lovely memories from the 90's...and now...the world is fucked up !
Girl bass player took literally 3 minutes to figure out the key to tune to for “shame”🤦♂️
Kenny Arnoff just looks totally ridiculous.
Kenny arnoff on drums doing a great job
Wow I've never heard some of these songs played this way. Amazing! 😍
Darcy in the bass and kenny in the drums, fantastic.. Love it!
Bullet with butterfly wings was never on my list of favorite pumpkins sings, but that was a great rendition!
