Thank you so much, you have no idea how much your nice comment and support mean to me! Thank you also for caring about the animals and fishies! Take good care ❤️❤️❤️
Fluffy Fude thank you for being a voice and bringing attention to the causes that affect us. Some people truly may not know about these issues, but their love of Fude will have them click this video and provide them with education on many things. I love the goat, squirrel and fox brushes.. I SOOOOO appreciate your speaking on these fude brushes, as possibly NOT cruelty free. THANK YOU. I think America could use a big reset on personal responsibility, and it’s respect to humanity and the world.
Hi Giulietta, thank you so much for you kind comment and support. You have no idea how much it means to me, especially given the grey area of cruelty free and how it can be a controversial topic. ❤️❤️❤️ Take good care and thank you again!!
This is a wonderful video, thank you for sharing such a thorough and helpful look at each of the brushes in this series! Really appreciate the comparisons to other brushes, and also the way you find each brush is working best for you.
Adding to the "cruelty free" discussion, here is a link to Temptalia where she shares Hakuhodo's response to the question of how they source the hair (it is the 3rd comment in the comments section): www.temptalia.com/introduction-to-hakuhodo-hakuhodo-j104-powder-brush-round-review-photos/
Thank you for the great review!!!! I had to digest the information since I went back to watch Part 1 in conjunction with Part 2. I will have to make a chart to figure out what I should get among all the amazing sets (Chikuhodo Silverfox, Kazan Squirrel, and Koyudo White Canadian Squirrel). I kind of have a "set mentality" where I want every single brush while knowing I won't find all of them suitable/applicable to me. For the Silverfox, my top faves are FO-1 and FO-4, because I always enjoy a big powder brush and I just love angled brushes! I find FO-2 rather unique in shape/size/length for a fude and it's interesting how you can do the swirling motion with FO-3, so these are also under consideration. FO-5 is also tempting as a highlighting brush, I'm just trying to think of a hard formula that I can use it with. It will be cool to own one eye brush for my rather small eyelids from this set too, FO-6 seems to fit the bill. Overall the Silverfox price point is really attractive, much more affordable than Kazan Squirrel and especially compared with White Canadian Squirrel.
I should start making charts too to plan out future purchases, although I already know the chart would say I shouldn't buy anymore brushes lol. I hope you are able to narrow it down to ones you will love. I have just started playing with the Kazan set and while they are beautiful, I already know one of my points of concern will be that they are too soft (early stages of testing them) but I don't see them picking up well with furmulas that are no soft. The Kazans feel even more soft and airy than the Z series so that should give you an idea. Thank you for your continued support, and for watching and commenting!
@@FluffyFude I enjoyed your brush haul video from last time, that was a lot of brushes!!! I know it takes months to test out something so I will be happy to wait for your reviews on them in the coming months and years 😀. I might want to wait for your more detailed review on the Kazan squirrels before ordering, but no pressure, just take your time to play with them. I might also make a move before then because they are just so irresistible!!! For Kazan, I'm envisioning that I'd want one candle light shaped brush (kind of unique), which looks fitting for highlighters and setting the under eye or spot setting, plus a nice soft fluffy powder brush for setting/finishing powder. I always like blush brushes so hopefully there is a fitting Kazan for that. The eye brushes are tempting too because I want to begin collecting more squirrel hair eye brushes as sometimes I find goat (Hakuhodo) eye brushes to be prickly. I'm quite excited and happy making wish lists and doing research 😊😀.
Been waiting for someone to talk about the cruelty-free status, what we’re told vs reality. Creating demand for these brushes is something I’ve recently brought up in my Fude groups and people get really mad at me. I fear a growing market and what it could mean for the animals’ rights due to the fact many Asian countries have been known to put profit over ethics.
Thank you, Annika. The cruelty free issue is a grey area and often polarizing so I think that's why people don't talk about it. I felt I finally had to mention it after hearing of others say the brushes are "cruelty free", I wish there was more information available on the topic but for now its largely gone unnoticed. I too am interested to see how things will shape out in the coming years as the brushes become more popular. Thank you again!! ❤

@@mutantfroggy Thank you for watching this incredibly long video, I didn't realize how long it was until I uploaded it 😖. Thank you so much for this review. I appreciate your comparisons, especially between the FO5 and the surratt large eye brush, which i use for highlighter application, because as a mature woman, i need to apply highlighter carefully.
On the contrary, thank YOU for watching and commenting!! I think you would love the FO5 for highlighter too but don't need it if you already have the Surratt for the same purpose. Thank you again and take good care!
I have one question: which brush would you recommend for Pat Mcgrath shimmer shades on “small” eyelids - I have been using flat synthetic brushes (Mac, NARS) but if there is a fude you can recommend, please do. Thank you for pleading against the purchase and consumption of blue fin tuna. I have never seen it offered in any local restaurants here in Canada so I dont think I can contribute to lowering the mortality rate of this endangered species. Thank you as well for mentioning that brush companies do not reveal the manner in which they harvest goat, squirrel and fox hairs. I am an animal lover and I feed Canadian grey and pine squirrels in my backyard daily and i cannot imagine that harvesting could be done on a live squirrel. My assumption has been that the squirrels are raised in captivity and killed by gassing before their fur is plucked. With respect to fox, I suspect that harvesting is done in the same manner as for squirrels. As for goat hair, I have no idea. Are there any high quality Fude brushes made with synthetic hair? I have noticed lately that some high-end companies offer only synthetic but Japan-made brushes. Would you ever consider using some, and then review them?
Hi Jocelyne, thank you so much for your support and care for the blue fin tuna ❤️❤️❤️, you have no idea how much it means to me and I thank you profusely 🙏. For the PMG shimmer shades I would recommend a densely packed goat brush. You will need it to be super dense to pick up the shimmers and I would stay away from squirrel because it's too soft to pick up the shimmers strongly. I highly recommend the Sonia G Builder 2 for this but keep in mind this is a larger brush so not sure if that will work for you. I have a video called "Top 5 SG Eye Brushes" and feature the SG Builder 2 in action with a shimmer shade so you might find that helpful to watch, there are timestamps (around the 8 min mark). The other option is a fude brush made from weasel/sable/kolinsky - these are harder to find and you will have to order directly from Japan but these bristles are best for picking up shimmers/ metalics/ special shades. My top 2 to recommend are the Takeda #10 or the Bisyodo B-ES-06 Eye Shadow Brush (from CD Japan), both of these are expensive but I believe in this case you get what you pay for and both of these are kolinsky which is the most premium hair quality for sable hair. That said you can't go wrong with any weasel hair brush made in Japan so feel free to look around CDJ for other options, I believe Koyudo makes some more affordable ones but not by much so might as well go for the best. I too am an animal lover and wish there was more transparency around how the hairs are harvested. I know luxury brands have come out with synthetic brushes made in Japan but I haven't tried any of them. I hope to do so in the future but my wishlist of natural hair brushes is always growing and the synthetics are not high on my list because the ones I have tried in the past from main stream brands didn't perform as well with powders. Thank you again and take good care! ❤️
Which of the FO4 or the Sonia G Face Pro provides better control? Which one gives an even, diffused bronzer application? And which one works well regardless of a tacky base? Thank you!
