Hi rob brilliant job know how it is when you start a job and more so with a poorly customer, you've got some good lad there , good job well done sometimes to make the boiler lighter we remove the burner, exp vessel and the baffles reduces the weight a far bit, keep them videos coming brilliant thanks ❤
Thanks for the comment. The regs used to be it had to be 1-1.5 meters away but they changed a few years back . As long as it is outside the casing / Outside that is ok. I prefer to be at least a metre away but not always possible. Have a lovely weekend. Rob
nice job we do loads of oil nice to see not the only ones trying to comply with regs etc as loads of cow boys out there who service oil boilers for £80 any reason why you didnt fit mag 1 fitler to give longer warranty we are G1 like You
Thanks for the comment. I stopped fitting mag 1 as we had so many leaks after a few years. Spoke to rep who agreed they had been an issue so told him what we were fitting and he was fine. However i should look into it again as the Mag 1 might have improved. Have a great weekend. Rob
Ive a grant vortex thats just had to have a new burner and now ive a small tinge of blue smoke coming from flue. Its all combusting ok with fga, pump pressure ok, would contamination give this at all
Thanks for the comment. Either it is the wrong fuel or contaminated or the boiler is damp in the combustion chamber. If it was sooted up before you got it going then it needs to burn the last bit of soot out. The boiler will def need a clean first. Hope this helps.
@@BartonOilBurnerServices had all baffles out and didnt see anything pointing towards water in there. Its actually my mates boiler and did notice that where is watchman is, it looked as if the seal looked abit worn. We have had bad weather and its a single skin tank, so told him if its still burning like that after this weekend, il have to do a test for contamination 🤦♂️
Great job again lads nice and tidy 👌
Thanks for the comment. Have a good weekend

Nice work, how come you didn't go for a system boiler with unvented?
Thanks for the comment. The customer insisted on a combi! I would rather a boiler a cylinder. Have a good weekend.
look forward to your Fridays videos, one question, I think I remember you saying a fire valve needs to be 1m from boiler?

@@BartonOilBurnerServices i think its contaminated then, as i cleaned it all out. It wasnt sooted up either as it was combusting ok
@@Purebeltersteve Have you checked to see if it has a internal water leak? Run it on a small can of kero to see if it improves also.

@@Purebeltersteve Also if it had been turned off for a while it could blue smoke for a while aferwards. Have fun with it!
Wow now that's a combi swap. Gas your done by lunch maybe late afternoon. But a oil combi swap 1 book 3 days for.
Thanks for the comment. They can be a pain but most the time ok. Just the weight!!!! Have a good weekend!
No pipe knockouts on the grant exterior combi a real nuisance
Totally agree. Have a good weekend. Rob
What is the name of the oil filter it looks quite big.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. It is a ultra compact filter and this version is slightly bigger as it is a spin on style filter. Have a good weekend.
Shouldn't the pipes be insulated with arimaflex helps to keep the heat in pipes.
When we went back the next week to flush the system and repair a drain off and 2 TRV Valves it was all insulated yes. Have a great weekend.
Thank heavens i have retired😊
You loved it really !!
