the Short arm for the windshield wipers is from an SJ410 I ordered a replacement set for my '92 because I could not find the plastic cups and found out same as you the frustrations for the short piece. i'll probably extend the arm by 2" and make it all fit again. Thx for sharing.
Little word of (unsolicited) wisdom from someone, who only just recently had to do the windshield on his Lada Niva: Lube it like you mean it. Tyre-grease is perfect, Vaseline equally so. If it makes the rubber more slidey, it makes things sooo much easier. Oh and I agree: I've seen a lot worse work from so called "body-shops" on my Lada and I've also seen the old receipts that came with the work...
Such a cool build. Coming from the diesel Landcruiser world, everyone there also deletes the ACSD because the little pin inside can break off and destroy the injection pump. If the glowshift gauge ever dies on you, Auber Instruments makes some really good programmable gauges for diesels and a place called Tiny Tach makes a diesel tach that uses a sensor clamped to an injector line.
Awesome build! As a guy who's got a samurai and an Isuzu pup 4x4 diesel I can appreciate both sides of it. Did they use the Suzuki or Isuzu transmission? Keep the videos up!
I've got both. The stock samurai is like 63 horse and the C223 Is around 50 iirc. Torque is the big difference with the diesel making around 100. The Isuzu obviously doesn't like to rev like the G13A in my samurai.

FOr now you can also put on a magnetic block heat er on the sami just to help out with the cold starting.

For a non body man (your words) I would still hire you.
Is the diesel more powerful than the samurai? I need to rebuild my engine but I can get a isuzu diesel cheap. I'm curious if the swap is worth it
