On both of my DR350s and again on my 2002 DRZ (bought in 2006, and I still have it) I ran a dedicated power wire that is controlled by a relay connected to the ignition circuit.
When I turn on the key, the relay engages and switches on power to my accessories: GPS and grip heater power. Today I am adding a very similar USB port.
That's a really nice mount you designed.
Printed out the bracket and installed on my DRZ. It worked great! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing; warming up my Ender3V2 right now :) Appreciate the knowledge and your work!
Quality content. I learned some things. Great video.
Nice to have USB when your out on the street or trails.. I put them in all my Jeeps !
So for 1. Thanks for this STL. For 2, I needed a switch holder and this did the trick with another file (i also put on thingiverse). Thanks again. =)
thanks for sharing, can't wait to do this on my bike. at the 8:39 mark on the video, i see where you wired up the red (positive) to which was the connector you made, but i didn't see where you wired up the negative (black cable to, maybe it will be obvious when i get in there, but was just curious if you can clarify
I think black goes to ground - he had a round connector ring - it probably went inside a bolt attached to the frame
Where did you ground this connection? Right at minute 8.32
That mount looks awesome. Would you consider selling/ sharing that 3d print file? Thanks
