I know 100% what is happening in the US and Western world, involving tech. What I know of China is not as sure. But based in 2 examples of the Chinese government's crack down on Chinese Tech Companies. I have more confidence in the Chinese. Than with a historically malign and malicious western "leadership" and "business". Being forced to use technology from controlling and monopolistic tech in the US. Who are also stupidly criminally predatory. I would rather deal with a more Chinese government style of serving the public.
I'd prefer the western way of letting the market place fumble around with new concepts and technology for awhile. I really don't like the idea of the government telling my kids when they can and can't play video games as is done in China for example. Once that is normalized then the government can tell you when you can and can't watch t.v., when you can and can't cook dinner etc. The people become pets/children of the government entirely. I'd rather fumble around with a few social media mishaps then be told how many hours a day I am allowed to use my phone by the Democrats or Republicans ya know?
