I did the same exact thing with mine. Drilled through, tapped, added another bolt with a nut. When I messaged UV, there were no extra parts I could buy to replace the problem.
Broke the same exact bolt on my uv button with the initial adjustment. Luckily had an old release the same bolt that broke. Didn't torque it down, didn't feel like I over tightened it, just snugged it down so it wouldn't move anymore and it snapped.
I damaged my release on public land down here in Bama while hunting scratched it to the moon and back lol don’t even know how I did it. (. It’s definitely sharp to hold thinking about making an upgrade. After Season goes out I’m looking at an ultra review UB B3 archery exit. Or a Stan release
man I feel your pain, a couple years ago I was shooting a hinge. I was double checking everything the night before an indoor shoot, and relaxed my hand too much. Ended up sending the release right into the riser and bending the 3rd finger extension. Luckily I threw on the hunting bracket and sanded down where it was all jacked up. Good luck at Lancaster!!!
I seen this and was like what did he do? Cause I’ve dropped my release 25 of a tree twice! I can’t tell you how many times inside my shop on concrete and once on a rock in the field and habanero had any issues with my thumb button
I can’t fault them for over tightening a bolt. They could have used a harder bolt but I probably would have stripped out the bracket and been in a worse situation
A harder bolt would have just sheered off quicker. You just exceeded the torque a bolt of that diameter can take. Tightening into aluminum you can't ever gorilla grip things down. Sometimes you even run into where the bolt is aluminum in addition to the threads being inserted into.@@jeffcordero_
Too bad their warranty sucks. That is why I won't ever buy their sight. One year for $700 sight. No thanks. Black gold covers 100%. But, it was your fault I guess 😅
Carter is tried and true. Countless years of success along with countless podium appearances. There is nothing on this uv button to warrant an almost 400$ price point. Then these kids have a sight that’s 600+$. This 600$ sight doesn’t even come close to the quality of spot Hogg or hha. 🤣 kids just trying to get rich fast.
No release feels better in the hand and through the shot than a UV Button in my experience. I own 2 Buttons, 2 hinges, a nock on, a carter and a Stan clicker. Have to agree, HHA Ryz is the best, but the UV slider is no slouch, which I also own.
@@Arrowhacked feel is personal preference. I’m talking about quality and durability. The uv doesn’t even come close to the others mentioned. Light years behind.
Ultraview makes the coolest stuff, but is the worst quality in the industry. I personally had 4 UV hinge 2.0s break in a row. Within a month of each other. They’re the worst.

I agree, 10.
Best of luck at Lancaster bro!
I’ll be up there for the Joel Turner seminar the following Monday morning 👍🏽

Just stumbled across your channel.
As a fellow Bowhunting/Archery UA-cam channel love your stuff man 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Sick Hoodie!!! Great trip! Good luck in Lancaster bro!
Your reactions are PRICELESS !! Love the honesty, keep it up.
Mighty Fine Shootin 👌
John
ps. it was a 10
Got to learn to have fun with it keep playing with weights maybe id like to know if the heavier weights make you shoot better than last year.
Just curious, how high off the ground are the targets at the shoots like Lancaster or Vegas?

do you also have small vibration on your verdict?
Hey i can tig weld it for you. I like doing little micro welds
Oh looks like you can just remove broke screw an maybe retap to put better screw
less than a week before LAC and making changes lol... Good Luck up there man
Just a comfort change. 🙃
Twirl makes all the difference 👍😁🤣🏹🎯💪
It doesn't help that price increase has been getting out of control on accessories. How does a release cost 1/3 of the bow price LOL.
You can say it’s not Ultraview’s fault but I see a lot more issues with their stuff than anyone else’s

You only have TWO releases?
🤣
No back up release? Rookie mistake.. jk lol
Hope you figure it out.

Order a back up though brother.. seriously, it can ruin a hunting trip or event so easily.
My backup is a hinge
Shouldn’t need a backup if you buy a quality release.

Stan Onnex 😂🎉
Pretty boy UV toys are no Stan. Sorry though, that blows.
I'm sure they'll overnight one to you, you've advertised enough for them to do that at least
