For the ground pollution you can try putting your road maintenance building there. Not ti get rid of the pollution but to punish the workers for backing up your streets.
Actually even better put your central bank there because IRL they cause so many problems economically with their money printing fetish!

i heard in CS1 you could plant trees and that would speed things up to get rid of ground pollution. Not sure if that works here too.

i don't know if there's any truth to it but, someone on reddit said water flow might help with ground pollution removal, i dont know in what way.. another reddit user suggested using developer tools
