In a mission to add a dash camera to every vehicle I own, I have been testing and trying different cameras. In one of the last videos, I reviewed the U1000 and I really liked it. So, this time, I'm checking out its little brother, the Thinkware X1000. This bundle comes with a rear camera as well and can do 1440p or 2k on the front and the rear. I also show how I routed the wires for the power and the rear camera and of course show actual footage of driving on a sunny day and at night.

My son had the 522gw fitted until the internal battery failed after 8 months so it was sent back. Anyway the Nextbase did come with built in gps and this x1000 doesn’t you have to pay extra for the gps which at this price it should come in with the box
How does the power cable work? How can I plug in the red and yellow wire into the car?

I just bought this camera. Unfortunately, after receiving it, I learned that it has to be hard-wired.
Does not to be hard wired you could get the quick connect kit that connects to your obd plug from your vehicle

@@5.3turbo92 im trying to find what the best dash cam at best buy they sale this is the only top rated one everyone buys apparently, i need recording 247 like if it a security camera at my house front door
Hard wired just means it record while parked so 24/7 and that’s the only reason you want to hard wire it so it could work on parking mode and to be honest that’s where I bought mine in Best Buy also the obd plug for it so I wouldn’t have to splice my cables from vehicle
@@5.3turbo92 damn this seems alot to do to install lol, i dont even know how to mess with cars, but ill give it ago T_T . then on top of that im understanding that to monitor your dash cam from your car to your app or laptop it needs wifi! so unless i have a mobile wifi hotspot like the one att&t sales, and talk and text sales, and leave it in my car, like how the hell can my hotspot reach from parkinglot to the store while shopping lol this is lame or i hope there are dashcams that have the answers to this

Does anyone know how to edit the recordings once they are on the computer like cut them short?
Mac or PC, both have built in video editing software or you can buy video editing software.
I was going to buy it until I found out it has no Wifi.
