With the Vortex I average 48 MPG cruising (highway or gravel roads) with a plus 1 tooth on the rear. It was up to 54 MPG stock. I can guzzle gas at 32 MPG if I am playing, but you've really gotta want to guzzle gas.
For the HP we are getting out of it I don’t think these numbers are really that bad. According to the computer I get 35 playing with the kids and chasing them on my dads property but I am in second most of the time
where did you get the race number stickers for your bike sir? thanks in advance, thanks for sharing this video with us, I appreciate it and I hope you have a blessed week. Keep up the fun videos. dale
A cam with higher lift and duration provides additional power when the fuel charge is dependent upon vacuum. If your observation is correct about the cam seeming to make a difference at higher rpm's it's probably just because the ecu can tell the motorcycle is being asked to accelerate harder. Unless the ecu can be remapped along the entire fuel curve to accommodate it an aggressive cam is just a gimmick and may just where the valve train out faster.
They did custom program the ECU to go with it....I haven't found out any info on how different that is though. I wish the computer program wasn't so expensive or I'd be tempted to pick it up for myself and we'd be able to compare. It runs so good now though I feel no need to tinker
My youngest is tall enough for the crf50 now but isn't ready to ride it. I won't rush him, he'll ride when he's ready. I've been lucky on a few videos to get really good support. This is still a fun "hobby of my hobby" as I like to put it 😉
Love the crf450l and that dam stop was awesome what a place the views were really good also love the mods yoshi exhausts muffler vortex is ment be what the honda needs like big improvements throttle and power output
Thats my third time out there this year, its just the perfect length for a quick Sunday ride with an amazing view. Whats crazy about the mods is I didn't change anything inside the motor, cam, piston...etc. The amount of power gained compared to stock is just crazy so I'm glad I did it!
@@ADVRally sounds like a problem like my brand new 300l had. The fuel indicator only read about a gallon. I was going to bring it in until I accidentally ran out of gas. Fixed the problem right afterwards though, started to indicate just fine.
I am worried about that and leaned mine out some. I want to get one of those little cameras and check on it after a couple K just to make sure as well. Could just look down the spark plug hole
Good catch. I refer to the vortex adjustments as jetting. Old habit but the low is like the pilot. Mid is the needle and high is the main. Just old enough to probably not kick that habit until we are on electric bikes!
Nope, but the fmf power core will. If you go fmf use the quiet one. If you want loud the yoshi is safe. People make the fmf work but this is based on what I have heard
I feel like MPG goes down because you like to rip it more haha!!!! When I installed programmer/full exhaust on my truck , the mpg went to crap because I was in it all the time .
There is definitely truth to that statement. I am happy to say if you baby it though you can still get 50mpg if you are on a ride where gas supply is a concern

@@DadsDomain Nope. No complaints here!

Finally got Brianna off training wheels.... Had to buy the PW50, the Crf50 was too big!!! Man your channel has grown 🙌

its about 4.05 Liters per 100 km

LOVE THAT SHIRT....."GOOOOO BUNDY"
No one ever gets it but it’s one of my favorites!
That's got to know. I got the vortex set on the Enduro map (#2). I like the smoother throttle response compared to the power maps.
Are the trail and enduro setting noticeably different? I ran the trail map before my starter burned up and it still stalled quite a bit.
Exactly. “Go do Something “
So my 450L got around 60-65 miles from topped off until the fuel light on , cruising at 70 mph
That's before it broke of course. With the vortex ECU set @ 555 and FMF Q4. It was 188 miles to my house from where I bought it in Virginia.
What happened to it when it broke down? That was amazing mileage though
@@DadsDomain the starter chewed the teeth off of the shaft. I have been waiting for a new starter from Honda since June 6th
@@DadsDomain not 63 mpg , 63 miles from fully topped off until the fuel light came on.

Also it was on the trail tune FMF
Great job. That is a surprising amount of lost MPG. I wonder if running it on the Vortex will ultimately gum things up with carbon deposits.

What phone mount are you using?
Hey so which settings would you say is the best for running the type of riding you do map settings 6 and 4,4,5 ?
Thanks From Oz i got one coming with a ECU and exhaust all i have to do is convert it to L/100 lol
You should really enjoy it a lot after its opened up!
Cool video, interesting. However I thought you mentioned jetting on a 450L...???

Honda CRF 450L Nice
Is this port Alberni?🤟
What was the cost of the vortex and the Yoshi pipe?
Vortex was $700 and pipe I found for $550 I think
@@DadsDomain Thanks. That is my future!
You’ll love it!
I would expect better mileage if you drove it the same that it’s breathing easier now.
Did the yoske pipe/muffler effect the turn signal?
Nope, but the fmf power core will. If you go fmf use the quiet one. If you want loud the yoshi is safe. People make the fmf work but this is based on what I have heard
Is your low beam burnt out?
Just wondering why you're riding around with the high beam on
I ride with it on durning the day for that little more visibility and chance cars will see me
Some of the sports bikes do that around here and they are bright even during the day
@@DadsDomain the sign of experience lol. Ive only been ran over once, but that was enough.
