Hardknott, Harter Fell, Green Crag, Wild Camp 6-7/4/23

Hardknott, Harter Fell, Green Crag, Wild Camp, Start Point: Jubilee Bridge, Hardknott Pass, Crossed Over the road followed path to side of farm to Lingcove Beck, following beck upto bridge then bearing right at the fork p the waterfalls, Then followed the path around the back over great gill and head crag over to hard knot, weather turned a bit colder at this point and got a bit windy with hale showers, We then dropped down from hardknot crossed the road and followed the wooded area to our left, we then climbed about 1/3 of the way up Harter fell then set up camp there was quite a strong wind blowing in from the coast but then settled down nicely as darkness fell, nice clear night with plenty of stars and a great moon, In the morning we packed up camp then summited Harter fell, passing 2 campers near the top, we then dropped down and crossed the very boggy marshy area to Green crag this was quite hard going zig zagging the boggy areas at some points it went knee deep sinking in it trying to cross areas, great views from Green crag all around, we then headed north past The Pike, Crook Crag, Dow Crag, Then crossing spotlow gill and Dodd Knott, back down to car at Jubilee bridge, all in all we covered about 17k carrying about 18kg of kit, first day was quite tiring, second day we thought would be the easier leg turned out to be the harder maybe because of the boggy conditions and wet feet but just seemed a lot more demanding, all in all a good 2 days of trekking roughly 24hrs in total started approx 14.00 on the 6th finished approx 13.30 on the 7th
