I wonder if the drummer (Vinnie) can play faster than that. He is always playing slow/mid tempo, in almost all songs. Also like Nicko from Iron Maiden he is using single bass drum.
Just like that... Vivian Campbell pulls off one of the greatest rock solos ever written in "Rainbow in the Dark" like he's making himself a cup of tea. Legend.

Yes. I seen him back in the day and recently here in CT. His playing is so crisp and sounds just like he did back in the day. He’s on my top 5 and he stand at # 1. When I first seen heard him I was like “who’s this dude?” Been a fan ever since. And same goes with Vinny .. Great group!!!

He's been playing those songs over 40 years now! Saw them in 84 on the last in line tour. Was with Sabbath before then with Ronnie. Probably plays them in his sleep 💤 👍👍

Just saw these fellas last night in Portage, Indiana in front of maybe 200 people. They played like they were at Donnington. Great to see Vivian and Vinnie so close. Bonus was singer and bass player. Long Live Rock and Roll!!🤘
most definitely.....He crushes Phil Collen of Def Leppard as a player in every way. Its got to get annoying playing side man to him all the time. Although I'm sure the huge paychecks he gets from Leppard more than make it worth the time haha. It's nice to see him rip again.

I was so upset back in the day when I read (In Hit Parader or something similar) that Vivian was no longer in the band. I only followed Dio with Craig Goldie for a short time. Dio was for me only worth paying attention to with both Vivian and RJD. That said, it's great to hear Vivian play these tracks again. It'll never be the same as the original, but it's pretty cool Vivian is playing heavier music again. As awesome as Def Leppard was once way back when, Vivian's talents seem wasted there IMO.
You are damn right. Def Leppard did / does never see what a talent they got in Vivian Campbell. Def Leppard will always be a Pop-rock band in my opinion

That seems like a new Vivian; 'cause he bitched (that's a term :P ??) about playing hard/heavy music, for years. Even WHITESNAKE was too hard for his taste. He was such and asshole talkin' crap about the music he did in DIO (and talking about Ronnie too) that I forgot how good he is. Still, is good to have him back playing ass kicking metal (I hope this band stays with us for a long time!)

Damn straight! The absolute Godfather of seamlessly blending the pinch harmonics into his riffs and solos. Lots of guitarists try but his are seamless and essential. Killer tone!
Dammit! I missed this how in Houston! Vinnie is a fucking Metal Drum Monster! Tweaking his snare drum and keeping up with the show was just another day at the office. Man, he's pushing what, 70 years old and he's beating them drums like a 20 year old. What an inspiration and it motivate me to put my version of Holy Diver just so you can the difference and appreciate how fucking good he is. I hope they come back to Houston, or anywhere in Texas. I'll be there!
