    I've started a cave commission for a client, and the stalagmites were not coming out very well with other techniques I've tried. Mostly they looked like a bunch of dongs. But this, this looks like I'll finally get good results. Thank you so much for sharing this technique.

    At work in the winter we will build a bathtub size box out of foam, and place a light bulb in it to keep things like caulk warm. I've thought a couple of times that making one as a "Glue drying station" might be a idea to give a try.
    Loved these pillars and stalagmites. I was asking a few months back about how to craft some like these.

    Great tutorial, had tried to make using spray foam & was utter mess, your tutorial used basic everyday items readily available from home & gave a great step by step guide, both factual & realistic to achieve. The stalagmite pieces Ive been looking at as ornamental are anything up to £2k!!! this great tutorial will assist me in achieving such like at a fraction of the cost - great job, I appreciate your work xXx

    • @LandvaettrsLair
      @LandvaettrsLair  5 років тому

      Yeah we heard it so much on Wyloch it immediately reminds us of him right, but it's actually a free use creative commons music from the artist Kevin MacLeod, very used throughout UA-cam. I tried many others tracks but they felt either too rythmic or too atmosperic for a background score for crafting. This one suits best, theres a reason Wyloch uses it. Still looking for another more "personnal" score but until then just consider it a tribute to Wyloch! 😉

    • @LandvaettrsLair
      @LandvaettrsLair  5 років тому +1

      You could but joy glue gets cloudy when it dries...so if you want the paint to show through the thickness musnt be too much. Could be interesting to try this effect though, let me know about the results if you ever try it out!
