Background: They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music. They have only been around for about 4 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and now they’re taking it to another level. They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. One key to their sound is that the two shredders are so different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets really rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
In interviews they have said that their mission is to save Metal from darkness and obscurity, and this song is sort of their anthem. I'd say they are up to the task.
Bravo friend , great reaction , Amazing Lovebites , Amazing musicians , my favorite Japanese female power metal band , next reaction , Winds of Transylvania greetings from Chile , God bless you .
Spot on! From what I know its about the girls destinies to get together and create amazing metal, that they loved. And now, in my oppinion, they make better metal than their old heroes...
Main composer for this track, Miyako (Dean Guitar) said this was something she felt was sufficiently epic, majestic and technically proficient that it deserved the lyrics that it has. They describe the band members becoming Lovebites and how their destines were and are aligned to become something much better. “All of our hopes are in these hands” Asami introduces the track on Five of a Kind live, and then after a pause says “this is us”. Great reaction.
Hey! Check out their new song released yesterday "Winds of Transylvania". You pretty much got it, its about them coming together to play music. and man, can they play! Haruna the drummer keeps going like this for 2 hour shows easily! She's been playing drum since age 4 or something like that. Thanks for checking them out and stay safe!
What I think binds Band-Maid, Babymetal and Lovebites and several other Japanese bands is positivism, uplifting lyrics (mostly) it is to have fun and smile all over and that mirrors over to the listener and we need more of that over the world!
Yes they underline that they are together. Another song is We the United with the same context. They are female warriors Onna-musha en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onna-musha. Great.
Also "Rising", which is about facing and conquering adversity on their way to becoming the band they are now. It's my personal motivation song when life gets tough.
Welcome back again get bites from Lovebites. Great reaction and great analysis. Thank you so much. Check out they new song. The song called "Winds of Transylvania" That's song more insane
LOVEBITES - When Destinies Align lyrics: It is not just some coincidence It is nothing like reality It is something very precious that not everyone can get It is like a dream, a turn of fate It is what the each of us can bring It’s a chemical reaction, only possible by these pieces Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on It is failure that has brought us here It is made of our blood and tears It is something very strong that keeps us moving on and on It is love, ambition, destiny It is why we’re been through everything It is what becomes the reason, shining bright into tomorrow Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on
Thanks for more LOVEBITES! Every song has individual solos and almost all have a guitar-harmony-duet that follows. Although they explore many genre, "epic" is a common word used by 'reactors' in reference to any/all of their songs. As within a song, they modulate, transition, change up unexpectedly or 'breakdown' in amazing precision, more pronounced "live" while we watch them show us their virtuosity for an entire hour and 45 minute onslaught, leaving us with an uplifting, respectful, dignified, empowered sense-of-self to change our own destinies, individually and as a specie. No kidding ... from their own lyrics ... The self-explanatory title of the song that follows "Holy War" (that you watched a month ago) is typical of Asami's lyrics "Don't Bite The Dust": ua-cam.com/video/7FNSlPLHC_E/v-deo.html
btw, one LOVEBITES song a week will keep me subscribed now that you've met "Mom's" approval... That leaves you 43 weeks of songs. I challenge you to find one that does not impress "We are LOVEBITES and we play HEAVY METAL!" ~ Asami. "We are sophisticated women." ~ Midori
Great reaction. I believe you are about to fall into the rabbit hole and get bitten. This band is absolutely awesome. They really are great live and much heavier. They also play all sorts of metal. Check out this latest video called "Winds of Transylvania". Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html
The guitarists are shredding.....LMAO; the drums are solid.....LOL. Until you have seen a few songs done by these insanely talented women you won't realize why I am laughing. The dynamic duo of Midori and Miyako are the most FLAWLESS players LIVE around and are a perfect match (Midori/Flash and Shred and Miyako/Techie, Tones and Harmonics). Haruna the 4' 9" drummer is a LEAD FOOTED banger who never heard the phase "SLOW DOWN". These women play Power, Thrash, Speed, Rock, Ballads and even classic piano like no one else. If you want Rock then you go with Band Maid or The Warning (3 sisters from Mexico) but if you want metal then Lovebites leads a pack of great Japanese bands (Aldious, Mary's Blood, Show-Ya, etc....). If you want something different then try the teen trio of Asterism who blend Metal/Rock/Jazz into wicked instrumentals. Dawn LIVE (ua-cam.com/video/buQPvINJcA0/v-deo.html) in a small club but Hal-Ca/guitar (16) and Miyu/7 string bass (17) will blow you away.
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance] , SOKONINAR [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], SPIRITBOX [Belcarra], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], and many more...
Unlucky Morpheus are another Japanese band worth checking out. Hard to pick a first song, so I just randomly picked Unending Sorceress: ua-cam.com/video/PCv3s0T4bx0/v-deo.html but you can't go wrong with any of their songs.
Great reaction to this Amazing (Power Thrash Heavy )Metalband again!! I really enjoy It ! Perhaps you'll Check out " Edge of the World " live in Tokio 2020 ! Thanks and stay save 🤘😎🤘
Bro, check out also TRiDENT Japanese trio rock band songs Voltage(MV), No Regret(MV) and ASTERISM trio Heavy Metal Band songs Rising Moon(MV), Dawn(MV).

Lol.... It's seems like half the metal bands in Japan were formed from the remnants of Destrose.
@@Darth.Fluffy Certainly a lot of the top ones! Mina seems to have had an amazing eye for talent, and poor management skills!
It's a crime that Midori and Miyako are both in the same band? Lol that's sounds quite right cause they've been killing it each time..😂
In interviews they have said that their mission is to save Metal from darkness and obscurity, and this song is sort of their anthem. I'd say they are up to the task.

@@ChrisPage68 Yes I agree.
Best metal band to come in 30 years since Maiden and Priest, every song is perfection. Both Studio tracks and Live performances. Just pure Metal Godz
