Yeah mate welcome to the Lovebites club. You just open the pandora box. Yeah they was in Wacken Germany (i watch them for first time live there) and they was in UK too 2019( that was the second my live experience). So the band is formed 2016 in Tokyo from ex Destrose band members Miho the bassist and composer ( she is the band leader) and Haruna the drummer ( she is the best female power metal drummer in the world at the moment) the other members are Asami the vocalist, composer and songwriter ( she was R&b and jazz-soul singer before to join the band) Midori the lead guitarist, backing vocals and composer ( she is the one of the fastest female guitarists in the world at the moment) and Miyako the other lead guitarist, pianist and composer ( she is the main composer of the band). Lovebites are the winners of Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards 2018 year. In category best new metal band. Their last album Electric pentagram was nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. The best all female power metal band in the world at the moment. They are influenced by 80s metal. Their inspiration bands are Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Halloween, Metallica and Slayer. Lovebites are something which doesn't happen in the last 20 maybe 30 years in metal music. Once Miho the bassist mentioned in interview- we are here to make something memorable. Also they sound better live. Please check some songs from their last concert Five of a kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from 2020. Check the open show song Thunder vengeance. Enjoy it.

I've reacted to Babymetal a few times on this channel, they're awesome! Looking forward to checking out your other suggestions. Japan has such a wealth of great bands!
Hey! They were formed in 2016 as you said, during their brief but explosive career they have played in Bloodstock Open Air, Wacken Open Air, Download Festival, Graspop Festival, these are some of the biggest festivals in Europe. They were also awarded at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2018, winning the category of Best New Band. They just released a new mini-album today! It's been on repeat for several hours now, i love it. I suggest you take a look at them Live, as good as they are in the studio, they are even better Live. Thanks for checking them out, every fan is gonna say their favorite band is the best in the world and im no exception, these girls are world class musicians inspired by bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Slayer and the list goes on. They dont play just power metal, they also play thrash metal, heavy metal, Rock, Ballads, very versatile band!
Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. They really shine live. I suggest songs from the concerts: “Battle in the east”, “Wacken”, “Daughters of the dawn” and especially “Five of a kind, Zepp Divercity, Tokyo 2020”: avoid “Bloodstuck” (bad audio). For starters I recommend the songs “Holy war”, “Thunder vengeance”, “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall” and a special mention to “Dancing with the devil”, “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue” (all live if possible). Enjoy your journey. Other amazing Japanese bands are Band-Maid, Nemophila, Unlucky Morpheus, Versailles, Asterism, D_Drive, Galneryus, Mary’s blood, etc.

Glory Glory to LOVEBITES and all members of The Wolf Pack everywhere...we shall rule the ruins under their command. best metal band to emerge in 30+ years since Maiden and Priest, have everything they've ever released, was bitten in 2017 by their first song Don't bite The Dust, been a worshipper ever since. PS: I really loved your album Final Door that I just listened to, I WILL be ordering the CD within a few days. Very Angra, Hammerfall, Lords Of Black, Brothers Of Metal, Vision Divine, Powerwolf ect,ect...all of which I love and have their CDs so I'm sure I now have to add your discography to my collection....
I enjoyed your reaction. Thank you. There is a live version of this song on UA-cam as well. And they can do this craziness in one shot on stage. Other songs of Lovebites that I think you would enjoy are "Holy War," "Raise Some Hell" or one of their new ones "Winds of Transylvania" which apparently is going to be the theme song to an anime.
You could have asked a bunch of comic-book artists to design a band of alien superheroes, disguised as beautiful women who use music to battle darkness, and they could not have come up with this. Some background: They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music. They have only been around for a little over 4 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and now they’re taking it to another level. This is one of their "starter" songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two shredders are very different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist-she only picked up guitar when she was 18. They are amazing live. You should next check out “Holy War” live: "Holy War" Dual shred harmonies: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. And take your time. The problem with listening to a lot of Lovebites song back-to-back is that you start to think the way they play is normal. It is not. All it takes is a few visits with other bands, and the next time you come back to Lovebites they have that impact like the first time. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Great reaction and comments!! You definitely have to check these ladies live, they are even better. I recommended you Holy War and Thunder Vengeance live. And for music videos Winds Of Transylvania and Glory To The World (From their new EP Glory, Glory To The World). All this videos are in Lovebites official channel in UA-cam. Lovebites can play and combined generes from power metal, thrash metal, classic heavy metal to heavy rock, ballads, hard rock, they are absolutely amazing mussicians!! Cheers and stay safe!!
You should of course check out all their music. To give a few of songs I like: M.D.O, Addicted, Thunder vengeance and holy war. These songs give a little perspective on how versatile they are, because they aren't "just" a power metal band, but more just a metal band. They play some power metal, but mostly they play classical metal in the vein of old helloween, judas priest, old metallica and several NWBHM bands.
Oh dear. This rabbit hole is deep and compelling. There’s no escaping it. I won’t recommend anything other than Zepp Diver City as the only choice for a live reaction (2019 or 2020), as well as the studio live release late 20 and every MV. That should keep you occupied for a few months....
cover of helloween eagle fly free... chopin+swansong, edge of tommorrow, thunder vengance, but mainly do their live performances... actually create a folder in your channel call it lovebites, do all of their songs and watch your channels views explode.
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance] , SOKONINAR [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], SPIRITBOX [Belcarra], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Dissension], and many many more...
Believe it or not, they are even better live!!!!!! Check out anything from their Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 show. Break The Wall, The Hammer of Wrath, Shadowmaker. They actually have 0 bad songs. Enjoy!!
Kinda hard to recommend a specific song. They literally do not have one bad track. Their live performances are on another level. I would only suggest, your first live video is not from the Bloodstock show or cam footage. Any other live is great, especially from Zepp
Hi, you haven't seen anything yet. Lovebites live are much better than in their music videos - check out Holy War, Edge of the World and We the United from the Zepp Diver City 2020 concert. The vocalist csn hit high notes and hold them for ten seconds with no vibrato. All members are insanely talented, sophisticared women at the top of their game. Most are multi-instrumentalists. For Miyako, on the right with black hair playing the Dean ML, the guitar is her second instrument. She is a concert standard classical pianist and has played piano for twenty-seven of her thirty years. She only started to teach herself guitar when she was at university at around eighteen. The other guitarist, Midori, blond on the left playing the white ESP, studied piano and electronic keyboards from the age of two until she switched to learning the guitar at the age of twenty, I guess that she is in her mid-to-late twenties now. More awesome all female bands band from Japan try - Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Aldious, Band Maid, Bridear, Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin/Doll$Boxx (same band with different names), mixed male/female bands Asterism, Mardelas, Unlucky Morpheus, Maximum the Hormone for starters. Japan is teeming with exceptionally talented male and female rock musicians and bands. Once you discover the current Japanese rock scene everything else seems pretty tame,
Hal-Ca from Asterism is an absolute force of nature. Check out Dawn live. Shot on someone’s phone but surprisingly excellent quality and right up front. Something happens at about 3 minutes that is hard to explain. I think she channeled someone’s spirit or something. Not sure if they were even in the afterlife yet or not, but they got channeled all the same. And she was only 14 or 15 at the time. ua-cam.com/video/buQPvINJcA0/v-deo.html
When I first saw and heard Hal-Ca play 'Light in the Darkness' live in a Hard Rock cafe I felt the same tingling in my spine and goose bumps as when I first saw and heard Jimi Hendrix, she has been playing the guitar now for ten years, I can't image where she will be at when she reaches thirty. I agree with your comment about 'Dawn' 3 minutes in and I especially liked her snarl at 3.24 minutes in.
You have been bitten.. 🤘 Any LIVE songs from their show at ZEPP DIVER CITY will amaze you. Personal recommendations would be Swan Song Holy War Shadowmaker Epilogue
If you want the three songs I recommend to everyone who's interested in these amazing ladies I'd listen to Shadowmaker, Mastermind 01 and Thunder Vengeance ( one from each album). Enjoy 🙂
Time to stop your world tour and settle in Japan for some months 😁 . There's so much to discover! So many great bands (and you didn't start with the worst for sure!). For Lovebites, you can pick any MV or official live performance really. Then you can check NEMOPHILA - Raitei or Dissenssion but here again every single is fine - or Band-Maid (more hard/rock than metal, or often everything in the same song) with Warning! ua-cam.com/video/9yD3IqrLtPk/v-deo.html (but here again, everything is great actually)
I am very happy that you are interested in Lovebites. Of course, you can continue to watch other songs of this band, but I'd be even more happy if you could watch other Japanese metal bands anyway. So my recommendation is Unending Sorceress by Unluckey Morpheuse. ua-cam.com/video/PCv3s0T4bx0/v-deo.html
You've just been lovebitten ! :-) They are the best heavy metal band today, period ! So much technical skills and the musicianship is phenomenal ! Their catalog is versatile, thet don't only play power metal, but thrashy songs as well like Break The Wall (old Metallica vibes in that song) or Winds of Transylvania, ordered to them to be the main theme from the new Mamoru Oshii's anime VLAD LOVE :-) And Miyako (the guitarist on the right) is a great pianist too, you can see her perform and turn from guitar to piano on "Swansong". Oh I forget, they are even better LIVE !! Check every song taken from the Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020 concert, you will love it ! :-)
these five ladiey are something else. suggestions? definetily some live stuff from them holy war, swan song, raise some hell, hammer of wrath or their newest mv glory to the world. thank you for this reaction
Many of their songs (from first few CD's) are each a form of homage to the bands they were inspired by, they don't copy, but they are doing deliberate nod towards their heroes, in this case it's very obviously dragonforce. I'm sure they will start doing their own thing sooner or later, but we can expect stylistic cues from the ages past... and why not? If you take influences, take influences from the best.
Great review. Doesn't the clip remind you of the Seven Samurais of Kurosawa movie? As an old Japanese man in my mid of 70s, it reminds me of that movie. Again, good review. Oh, by the way, as more as you listen to their sound, you'll find out the bassist is the backbone of the band. She is an awesome bassist.
"Feels like I'm watching an anime" comments in 3,2,1 ... I think all the reactors say this EVERY SINGLE TIME they hear a Japanese band for the first time.
I know, it's a bit generic of a comment. That's how most of us westerners are first introduced to Japanese music, though. Definitely shouldn't be taken in a negative light, anime is great!
list of LOVEBITES songs to react to: Rising Shadowmaker Scream For Me Golden Destination] Winds of Transylvania (Opening theme song for the new Mamoru Oshii anime Vladlove) Empty Daydream Live at Zepp DiverCity We The United Live at Zepp DiverCity Edge of the World Live at Zepp DiverCity Epilogue Live at Zepp DiverCity Chopin Etude + Swan Song Live at Zepp DiverCity Thunder Vengeance Live at Zepp DiverCity Holy War Live at Zepp DiverCity The Crusade Live at Zepp DiverCity also, turn the volume up, it seemed very quiet
Every reactor I've seen gets uncomfortable with their "sexist" expectations before hearing Lovebites vs. after hearing them but I think there's a huge difference between being surprised because you assume "girls can't play" vs being surprised because, in the world as we find it, it's still unusual to see women who can play their instruments like this/music like this. Until more women pick up instruments and shred AND get the same exposure that their male counterparts get, it's always going to seem like a little bit of a surprise. That doesn't make a person sexist, it just makes them a human living in the (unfortunate) context of the moment. All that being said, I'm loving seeing ladies like Lovebites, BAND-MAID, etc. picking up instruments and killing songs and expectations. I hope this is just the tip of the spear and we're in for a tsunami of women who rock (eventually, simply to be known as "musicians").
try to watch "glory to the world" their newest MV, its totally in different level from this song.. some people say that song come from metal heaven hahaha... or u can check their live such holy war, they much better when play in live.

Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know
We will always be together
Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future
All of our hopes are in these hands
Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know
We will always be together
Carry on, carry on
This is us, carry on
Glory Glory to LOVEBITES and all members of The Wolf Pack everywhere...we shall rule the ruins under their command. best metal band to emerge in 30+ years since Maiden and Priest, have everything they've ever released, was bitten in 2017 by their first song Don't bite The Dust, been a worshipper ever since.
Thank you so much, Rusty!! Glad you like the album. 😁 Looking forward to listen to more LOVEBITES!
Hell yeah!🤘🤘🤘
I enjoyed your reaction. Thank you. There is a live version of this song on UA-cam as well. And they can do this craziness in one shot on stage. Other songs of Lovebites that I think you would enjoy are "Holy War," "Raise Some Hell" or one of their new ones "Winds of Transylvania" which apparently is going to be the theme song to an anime.
Thank you Rick! Glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to watching some live videos from them soon!
Next lovebites "holy war" live.,..
As a comparison for Japan I suggest Band-Maid another female band with very talented members.
Band-Maid will definitely be coming! I'm excited to finally hear them!
You could have asked a bunch of comic-book artists to design a band of alien superheroes, disguised as beautiful women who use music to battle darkness, and they could not have come up with this. Some background:
They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
You should next check out “Holy War” live: "Holy War" Dual shred harmonies: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the quality is poor.
Glad to be in the pack, Hiawatha! Thanks for all the info! I'm excited to do a deep dive into this band with future reactions. ✌️
One of my two favorite bands. Lovebites and Unlucky Morpheus, also from Japan. Please react to Unlucky Morpheus.
I'll look into them! Lovebites rules, so I have to assume you have great taste. 😉
They play this good live as well, as you'll see.
Can't wait! 🤘
Thanks Sergio! Live reaction videos will be coming soon, I'm certain of it. :)
You should of course check out all their music. To give a few of songs I like:
M.D.O,
Addicted,
Thunder vengeance and
holy war.
These songs give a little perspective on how versatile they are, because they aren't "just" a power metal band, but more just a metal band. They play some power metal, but mostly they play classical metal in the vein of old helloween, judas priest, old metallica and several NWBHM bands.
Thanks for the suggestions, Torkjell! 🤘🤘
Damn, so many suggestions! I appreciate it, Wirmish. I'll definitely be reacting to more Japanese bands soon!
Believe it or not, they are even better live!!!!!! Check out anything from their Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 show. Break The Wall, The Hammer of Wrath, Shadowmaker. They actually have 0 bad songs. Enjoy!!
Excited to hear them live!! Thanks for the suggestions!
Once you discover the current Japanese rock scene everything else seems pretty tame,
Fantastic! Thanks for the recommendations, Skoob. Sounds like I'll be listening to a lot of killer Japanese bands soon!
Any LIVE songs from their show at ZEPP DIVER CITY will amaze you.
Personal recommendations would be
Swan Song
Holy War
Shadowmaker
Epilogue
Excited to hear a live song!
Don't believe I'm not tempted. 😂 I love how much enthusiasm Japanese metal fans have!
I've heard their name pop up a few times, I'll definitely be giving them a listen!
They are better live, and this MV is quite good.
Shadowmaker is a great one.
This performance is a good example of how you always get more than your money's worth from Lovebites. Glad you dug em!
4:51 - Charmed for 20 turns
Oh yes, I feel the Kurosawa vibe! This music video was so beautifully shot. Also, agreed, Miho is awesome!!
@@MattFarkas Anime is great, but like you said, every reactor saying the same thing makes it sound really generic.
@@eatsmylifeYT I don't watch other reactors that often, but absolutely a fair point.
holy war live, youre welcome
list of LOVEBITES songs to react to:

This song is amazing but they are better live!!!, i suggest shadowmaker, epilogue, hammer of wrath and whatever you choose they'll perform great!
Pls react to Angel of salvation by Galneryus. Syu the guitarist of the band is one of the top guitarist in Japan. Pls check it out🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Quite the statement! Now I'm very curious. 🙂
I saw they put out a new song recently and am very tempted to react to it now while it's fresh!
7:20 The moment when you realize that you have missed something for years.
I definitely had to take a breather before giving my final thoughts. 😂
@@MattFarkas For a German band I suggest Null Positiv and there song "Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer"
Holy war
🤘🐺🖤
Anything LIVE.
Please react to Yoyoka (drummer).
Everything is as good....only pity to not check live videos...all live, are even better than this! ;)
My next LOVEBITES reaction will definitely be a live show! Thanks for the comment, Morgan!
@@MattFarkas I barely listen to anything else nowadays...a live CD on atm... ;)
