Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about the band: LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. Also „Stand and deliver“ was voted on #15 for best metal song of the year. What are fantastic results for a still relatively unknown and foreign band. And they will appear at several huge metal festivals this year again, a world tour is just announced. LOVEBITES finished touring Japan last October. Earlier in March 2023 they played their comeback show, 2 evenings at the same venue. ur one of the few who points out the drummer for me Haruna is the best in my opinion she is like a metronoom iam 54 heard alot of great drummers but she is in my top 3 of all time!!!
She's not as "flashy" as a lot of male drummers, as she plays with such control and efficiency. But as a technical drummer, she is elite. Her cymbal work and fills are as good as any drummer I've ever heard.

Lovebites were formed in 2016 by the 2 former members of Detrose, drummer Haruna (4’9”) and bassist Miho. Then they added the (crazy shredder) Midori, (the golden touch) Miyako and (ballet dancer/R&B singer) Asami. There are bands out there that can shred fast. Lovebites can play fast with melodic. They believe heavy metal doesn’t have to be dark with leather and chains. They believe that they rock hard and still be feminine and elegant. 9:479:47 They are not afraid of showing their faith. That’s why their message is so inspiring, positive and uplifting. All members of Lovebites are capable of multi-instruments. Miyako is the mastermind of the band. She is classical trained pianist since 3 yo.
Best metal band today IMO. I've been listening to metal for 50 yrs and they have become my alltime fav band. They are elite in all aspects. The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are amomg the best I've seen/heard. Wait till you see em live. It contains the line "we will always be together," but in 2021, bassist and co-founder Miho decided to leave the group, and they went on hiatus until the end of 2022. But their new bassist Fami, who joined in October 2022, is one of the most phenomenal bass virtuosos in Japan (and the world). Miho is the bass player in this video. Once bitten forever smitten, you'll be inundated with many recommendations from the wolfpack army but it doesn't matter what you do next because these ladies never disappoint, all songs are either good, great or just plain masterpieces, of which they have many, most songs will be a new favourite until you hear the next one. WOW is a common expression used followed by getting stuck for words. As you go through their catalogue of 60+ songs you'll always find something special in how they play, and trust me they are on a level above another level. This is a piece of cake for the 4'9" tall drummer Haruna. There are many crossover fans between Nightwish and Lovebites. Even post production engineers are the same Finn guys. They got influences mainly from Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and Metallica, a little of Dragonforce although they have toured in UK together. That samurai image is a homage of Seven Samurais which is the original story of a wester movie Magnificent Seven. It's a story seven unemployed samurais find each other and fight against bandit attack to protect a village. You should try their live performances because they are better in live. Having grown up, in the UK, on Purple, Sabbath and Rainbow etc, when I came across LOVEBITES about 3 years ago my jaw well and truly dropped. Your theory of what the song is about is bang on. They had to put up with adversity as they were not the stereotypical heavy metal band. Being petite, Asami on vocals is 4ft 10in., dressing in white makes them stand out more on stage and to date it is their trademark appearance at live shows. If you thought this MV was good - just wait until you see them live. To those in the 'know' LOVEBITES is synonymous with guitar solos and they actually toured with DragonForce in the UK some years ago. But you've only scratched the surface of the skills they bring and I hope to see you discover more. I so hope they come back to the UK. Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word because they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their live performances are outstanding. They toured the UK in 2019 opening for Dragonforce (they’re good friends, btw). Their presentation at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a real success. My next recommendations are “Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire” (live) Well, it seems that a bunch of misogynistic ass**les have been launching a coordinated attack against Lovebites, like “ingopek5485”.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for us Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they while they usually wear the white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes. Some data on the band: The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also. Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little BIG Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable! Miyako is our right side guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold. Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair on the left side, and she is "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :) On bass you have Miho - one of the founders of the band (she formed the band with Haruna) - a really good bassist who stepped down from her role just a couple years ago - if you check out their latest album, you will meet their current bass player, the amazingly talented Fami - ("Shining Fingers") - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group. And you ain't seen NOTHING yet ! 🤣Like most Japanese Metal & Rock bands Lovebites are BETTER live . The comparison with Dragonforce is understandable but Lovebites are SO much more versatile as hopefully you'll come to understand in time . Couple of things about the band - the 2 guitarists Miyako ( with the dark hair ) and Midori ( blonde ) didn't start playing guitar until their very late teens - and Miyako ( who is a classically trained pianist ) is self taught ! Haruna ( drummer ) is a 4'10" bundle of energy who never misses a beat ( even at 165 BPM - which is by no means their fastest song ) Asami ( vocals ) comes from an R&B and ballet background and also plays piano Miho is their former bass player who has been recently replaced by Fami who you'll see in future reactions ( hopefully ) ENJOY !

Yeah you need to react to some of their live recordings to fully understand how amazing musicians these girls are. There are many awesome ones on UA-cam. "Holy War" is a good place to start. 🙂😊
They are _excellent_ on their studio albums. And they are _even better_ *live* - although that should actually be impossible. The power of their live shows is their "7th instrument", sort of. (Their 6th instrument is the background keyboard melody.)
You’ve never heard of Japanese female metal bands… This far, and this many years down the rabbit hole, that’s an almost scary place to be! LOVEBITES are pretty much power metal but the women of Japan have a lot of other styles to offer and they are pretty much all this quality. Most of them are better live because they have energy and a sense of fun. Some are corporate owned, some are indie, all work hard. The genre is addictive - be prepared!

They should also listen to The Warning from Mexico which released one of the best rock albums of 2022 called Error and Crypta from Brazil which released one of the best Death Metal albums of 2023 called Shades of Sorrow. This is the last song that their bassist did a video with them if I remember correctly their bassist left and they replaced it with a girl named Fami. ironically, she had a UA-cam channel where she was doing rock and roll covers with her bass guitar. My take on this is this is their version of Twisted Sisters We are not going to take. You dont have to like them but they gonna make you respect them.
Subscribed. You'd definitely enjoy Nemophila, as well. Another ladies J-metal band, but less within the power metal bandwidth. Plenty of shredding, too, but you get both excellent cleans and screams on the vocals. The MVs for "Revive", "Dissension" or "Rise" are great places to start. But... I dare you: try Hanabie. ("hah-nah-bee-eh"), and try them blind. Their "We Love Sweets" is something you'll not have tasted before. I guarantee it.

There are four female Japanese rock/metal bands that are often reacted to together. * Lovebites - heavy metal but also more ballad metal and trash. They might actually be the best heavy metal band around today, any country any gender. Loads of good songs. Generally best live. Not that they are bad in movies, but they are even better live. Their signature is Miyako&Midori, the two lead guitar players. The pocket nuke Haruna at the drums and the power vocalist Asami not to forget. And now they have a new very skilled bassist, Fami. In this video it was Miho, a more classic rock/metal bassist than Fami. But Fami is learning fast. * BAND-MAID - heavy and prog rock. Fun and loads of good song. Also best live, but they have some good movies. Bass (MISA) and drummer (Akane) are special, both as persons and musicians. The lead guitarist (Kanami) is no slouch either. * Nemophila - newer band but highly seasoned members. Drummer and guitars are top notch. The singer has a raspy voice and also screams. Metall! But they also do loads of fantastic rock covers. The newer live ones are very good, but actually, the movies are sometimes even better. I think they are so seasoned so they just play the movies once and do very little post editing. * Hanabie - younger girls. Metal core. Very fun group, with a cute little monster growler. They are good, but not up to the technical prowess of the other three. But, you should not miss Hanabie, and you should pronounce it ha-na-bee-eh.
Just a fun tidbit. The two main singers in Hanabie has made some duets covering stuff. Here they are covering DECO*27 a-ni-ma-ru (animal). In Japan, you DO see it everyday, lol! Japan is the world leader in metal and heavy rock these past few years, and the female bands are erupting! Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Hanabie, Aldious, Passcode, BABYMETAL, Bridear, Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin, Doll$boxx, Trident, Hagane, just to name a few. Even the male and mixed metal bands in Japan are heads and shoulders above the vast majority of their Western counterparts - Galneryus, Unlucky Morpheus, Maximum the Hormone, Wagakki Band, Ningen Isu, Crossfaith, Cold Rain, Dexcore, etc.
Ummm... There are DOZENS of top notch all female heavy metal bands in Japan. To name just a few across a number of different metal sub-genres (in addition to Lovebites): Nemophila, Band-Maid, Hanabie, Doll$Box, Trident, Bridear, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin, (and of course Babymetal). All of these are different from each other and all are top notch at what they do. Japan is where it is AT these days. You need to jump in! Some of these bands sing in English (like Lovebites) while others sing in Japanese and others actually have lyrics that flow back and forth between Japanese and English.
Gotta say, it takes quite some talent to miss all the obvious stopping points and instead stop in the middle of an important melodic line every single time. Kudos my guys, that can't be easy to do!
I don't understand why people criticise someone listening to.Lovebites for the first time for not stopping the song where they believe it should be stopped. That's only likely to put them off reacting again. It's better to be encouraging to new reactors who like the band, instead of jumping on them for something that's really quite trivial.

Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. Also „Stand and deliver“ was voted on #15 for best metal song of the year. What are fantastic results for a still relatively unknown and foreign band. And they will appear at several huge metal festivals this year again, a world tour is just announced.
LOVEBITES finished touring Japan last October. Earlier in March 2023 they played their comeback show, 2 evenings at the same venue. This was their first live gig since 2021 and the very first show with their new bassist Fami. There are 6 videos taken from both shows on their YT channel. I suggest „The Hammer of Wrath“ for a next reaction. It’s the first song of the set and also the first song that their new bassist Fami ever played with them in front of an audience. Their live performances are the real deal!

ur one of the few who points out the drummer for me Haruna is the best in my opinion she is like a metronoom iam 54 heard alot of great drummers but she is in my top 3 of all time!!!
She's not as "flashy" as a lot of male drummers, as she plays with such control and efficiency. But as a technical drummer, she is elite. Her cymbal work and fills are as good as any drummer I've ever heard.

Lovebites were formed in 2016 by the 2 former members of Detrose, drummer Haruna (4’9”) and bassist Miho. Then they added the (crazy shredder) Midori, (the golden touch) Miyako and (ballet dancer/R&B singer) Asami. There are bands out there that can shred fast. Lovebites can play fast with melodic. They believe heavy metal doesn’t have to be dark with leather and chains. They believe that they rock hard and still be feminine and elegant. 9:47 9:47 They are not afraid of showing their faith. That’s why their message is so inspiring, positive and uplifting. All members of Lovebites are capable of multi-instruments. Miyako is the mastermind of the band. She is classical trained pianist since 3 yo.

Best metal band today IMO. I've been listening to metal for 50 yrs and they have become my alltime fav band. They are elite in all aspects. The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are amomg the best I've seen/heard. Wait till you see em live. You were right, the lyrics of this song are about themselves as a band 👍🏻 It’s from their 3rd album „Electric Pentagram“ released in 2020.
Sadly, this song kind of jinxed them, lol! It contains the line "we will always be together," but in 2021, bassist and co-founder Miho decided to leave the group, and they went on hiatus until the end of 2022. But their new bassist Fami, who joined in October 2022, is one of the most phenomenal bass virtuosos in Japan (and the world). Miho is the bass player in this video. This is a piece of cake for the 4'9" tall drummer Haruna. There are many crossover fans between Nightwish and Lovebites. Even post production engineers are the same Finn guys. They got influences mainly from Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and Metallica, a little of Dragonforce although they have toured in UK together. That samurai image is a homage of Seven Samurais which is the original story of a wester movie Magnificent Seven. It's a story seven unemployed samurais find each other and fight against bandit attack to protect a village. You should try their live performances because they are better in live. Having grown up, in the UK, on Purple, Sabbath and Rainbow etc, when I came across LOVEBITES about 3 years ago my jaw well and truly dropped. Your theory of what the song is about is bang on. They had to put up with adversity as they were not the stereotypical heavy metal band. Being petite, Asami on vocals is 4ft 10in., dressing in white makes them stand out more on stage and to date it is their trademark appearance at live shows. If you thought this MV was good - just wait until you see them live. To those in the 'know' LOVEBITES is synonymous with guitar solos and they actually toured with DragonForce in the UK some years ago. But you've only scratched the surface of the skills they bring and I hope to see you discover more. I so hope they come back to the UK. Here's one to get you going -

There are over 100 female bands in Japan. One of the top groups among them is LOVEBITES. They made their major label debut just six months after their first stage and expanded overseas six months later.
Before Pandemic, the group was active mainly in Japan/UK/EU and has participated in large metal festivals in various countries, including WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018 in Germany, where they were well received. The mixing and mastering of the album has been continuously handled since their debut mini-album by Mikko Karmila and Mika Kassila from Finland, who have worked with NIGHTWISH and CHILDREN OF BODOM, among others.

Great reaction and really nice interpretation of their lyrics. The lyrics are happy. They play heavy and happy metal. Lovebites is an extraordinary band with no bad songs in their 60+ set list. They really should be heard live, the double guitar attack is kind of their trademark and they do pull all their MV solos off live too.
Haruna on the drum is a maachine and keeps this up for hours. She has some very sick fills in most of their work.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for us Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they while they usually wear the white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes.
Some data on the band:
The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also.
Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little BIG Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable!
Miyako is our right side guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold.
Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair on the left side, and she is "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :)
On bass you have Miho - one of the founders of the band (she formed the band with Haruna) - a really good bassist who stepped down from her role just a couple years ago - if you check out their latest album, you will meet their current bass player, the amazingly talented Fami - ("Shining Fingers") - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group.

The comparison with Dragonforce is understandable but Lovebites are SO much more versatile as hopefully you'll come to understand in time .
Couple of things about the band - the 2 guitarists Miyako ( with the dark hair ) and Midori ( blonde ) didn't start playing guitar until their very late teens - and Miyako ( who is a classically trained pianist ) is self taught !
Haruna ( drummer ) is a 4'10" bundle of energy who never misses a beat ( even at 165 BPM - which is by no means their fastest song )
Asami ( vocals ) comes from an R&B and ballet background and also plays piano
Miho is their former bass player who has been recently replaced by Fami who you'll see in future reactions ( hopefully )

They are _excellent_ on their studio albums. And they are _even better_ *live* - although that should actually be impossible. The power of their live shows is their "7th instrument", sort of. (Their 6th instrument is the background keyboard melody.)

You’ve never heard of Japanese female metal bands… This far, and this many years down the rabbit hole, that’s an almost scary place to be! LOVEBITES are pretty much power metal but the women of Japan have a lot of other styles to offer and they are pretty much all this quality. Most of them are better live because they have energy and a sense of fun. Some are corporate owned, some are indie, all work hard. The genre is addictive - be prepared!
This is new territory for us that we have only really found since we have been reacting and love finding these artists and learning all about them from the fans

This is the last song that their bassist did a video with them if I remember correctly their bassist left and they replaced it with a girl named Fami. ironically, she had a UA-cam channel where she was doing rock and roll covers with her bass guitar.

Subscribed. You'd definitely enjoy Nemophila, as well. Another ladies J-metal band, but less within the power metal bandwidth. Plenty of shredding, too, but you get both excellent cleans and screams on the vocals. The MVs for "Revive", "Dissension" or "Rise" are great places to start. But... I dare you: try Hanabie. ("hah-nah-bee-eh"), and try them blind. Their "We Love Sweets" is something you'll not have tasted before. I guarantee it.

There are four female Japanese rock/metal bands that are often reacted to together.
* Lovebites - heavy metal but also more ballad metal and trash. They might actually be the best heavy metal band around today, any country any gender. Loads of good songs. Generally best live. Not that they are bad in movies, but they are even better live. Their signature is Miyako&Midori, the two lead guitar players. The pocket nuke Haruna at the drums and the power vocalist Asami not to forget. And now they have a new very skilled bassist, Fami. In this video it was Miho, a more classic rock/metal bassist than Fami. But Fami is learning fast.
* BAND-MAID - heavy and prog rock. Fun and loads of good song. Also best live, but they have some good movies. Bass (MISA) and drummer (Akane) are special, both as persons and musicians. The lead guitarist (Kanami) is no slouch either.
* Nemophila - newer band but highly seasoned members. Drummer and guitars are top notch. The singer has a raspy voice and also screams. Metall! But they also do loads of fantastic rock covers. The newer live ones are very good, but actually, the movies are sometimes even better. I think they are so seasoned so they just play the movies once and do very little post editing.
* Hanabie - younger girls. Metal core. Very fun group, with a cute little monster growler. They are good, but not up to the technical prowess of the other three. But, you should not miss Hanabie, and you should pronounce it ha-na-bee-eh.
Just a fun tidbit. The two main singers in Hanabie has made some duets covering stuff. Here they are covering DECO*27 a-ni-ma-ru (animal). So cute!

In Japan, you DO see it everyday, lol! Japan is the world leader in metal and heavy rock these past few years, and the female bands are erupting! Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Hanabie, Aldious, Passcode, BABYMETAL, Bridear, Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin, Doll$boxx, Trident, Hagane, just to name a few. Even the male and mixed metal bands in Japan are heads and shoulders above the vast majority of their Western counterparts - Galneryus, Unlucky Morpheus, Maximum the Hormone, Wagakki Band, Ningen Isu, Crossfaith, Cold Rain, Dexcore, etc.

Ummm... There are DOZENS of top notch all female heavy metal bands in Japan. To name just a few across a number of different metal sub-genres (in addition to Lovebites): Nemophila, Band-Maid, Hanabie, Doll$Box, Trident, Bridear, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Fate Gear, Gacharic Spin, (and of course Babymetal). All of these are different from each other and all are top notch at what they do. Japan is where it is AT these days. You need to jump in! Some of these bands sing in English (like Lovebites) while others sing in Japanese and others actually have lyrics that flow back and forth between Japanese and English.
We have alot to learn and this is very new territory for us. We will have to check them out
Gotta say, it takes quite some talent to miss all the obvious stopping points and instead stop in the middle of an important melodic line every single time. Kudos my guys, that can't be easy to do!
I don't understand why people criticise someone listening to.Lovebites for the first time for not stopping the song where they believe it should be stopped. That's only likely to put them off reacting again. It's better to be encouraging to new reactors who like the band, instead of jumping on them for something that's really quite trivial.
