03:29 Computer-generated modern synthesizer music is nice and fits the science-fiction setting of Wuthering Waves very well but I absolutely adore the fact that you can hear real instruments in songs like these. It adds a very "human" element to the vibe. You immediately know the Kuro Devs love NieR.
They had developed PGR before: a game directly inspired by NieR: Automata, and the one that had a collab with them twice (one rerun).
This makes me feel like I'm laying in a quiet flower field looking up at the stars with the northern lights dance across the clear sky as i softly fall asleep, finally at peace as the wind calls me with a gentle breeze.
Anyways I just ate a hotdog, it was really good :)
It seems like they're taking the statement that wuwa's music isn't memorable quite seriously because this music has been stuck in my head for the past week

i think Kuro are slowly getting a hold of the style they want people to hear.
the most distinctive part of their WuWa soundtrack, even though it’s subpar nine times out of ten, is the deconstruction of the track. we often hear different parts, melodies and instruments clash with each other, representing dissonance. and if you know some basic lore of the world, it’s clearly made to represent The Lament and Waveworn Phenomena, which basically rewrote how laws of physics work. every TD is represented with “broken” melodies, which wasn’t the case in technical and CBT1 tests, so there’s clearly was a change of direction.
but unfortunately, i think the idea came to them a bit too late, and insane development crunch affected the quality of all the OST that came out, considering 99% of it was made in-house (so probably was insanely rushed out).
this right here is the product, or at least close to it, that we should’ve gotten on release, but reality said otherwise. nevertheless, i’m really happy for the turn around and can’t wait for the rumoured 2.0 update, i’m sure they will cook up a feast for us❤
Games improve as time goes on. You can't expect a game to have amazing ost right out of the gate
for 1.0 music is not that bad imo but there's a lot of missed but mostly it is because the volume balancing of the music and sfx everything combined make it hard to even hear what's going on, especially on early released but then 1.1 and 1.2 has some very good pieces when it comes to their companion story the music is very fitting for Changli and Zhezhi.
@@sera3718 i like 1.0 music for what it is, basically a “lofi radio” for you to listen to while grinding echoes and stuff, but there’s nothing more behind that.
1.1 on the contrary is really good, i even hum the main tune of the Mt. Firmament while doing house work, since it’s so catchy and easy to replicate.

how did this game's music evolve so fast, this is as fast of a growth as the punishing virus in pgr lol
1.0 was just rushed simple as that. After reworking 99% of the story and a lot of the core mechanics they couldn’t focus on executing their intended vision. That changed for 1.1 tho and now Kuro is in their rhythm again
@@LeoDragoGR yeah im having high hopes for the future of this game now, i trust kuro when it comes to improving but damn the music wasnt something i expected them to get this good at, the jué boss fight ost wasnt that great although i saw the improvement and where they were going but now those new ones seem full of emotions and composed with a leitmotif in mind its like a complete 180

@@assil555 Also, I'm not completely sure, but I think they're working with Vanguard Sound now. I'm not sure, but if it's true, it's not unexpected that the quality has gotten better. Check out the OST in Punishing Gray Raven and you will understand.
@@fuethegreat yeah i heard all of the osts from vanguard and play pgr consistently, but no vanguard in wuwa is only in charge of sound effects and voice direction, not music so that is why im further impressed
