Even though I made it to the professional level I really find your content refreshing and there is always something new to take away from them! ⭐️ Keep it up mate!
Thanks so much Oskar! So good to hear, especially as your played professionally! Appreciate it mate 🧡
Yes, thanks, I really appreciatte your effort in creating these videos its really helpful
My son has just been selected by a Pro team here In France to join their under 12s elite players program
He had been asked the last couple of years to attend a selection at Clairefontaine but we have been very wary of protectng him and always decided we would wait until he was 10-11 before letting him join a pro club or take the step up We wanted to be sure mentally he was ready and serious
But now he is really eager and wants to put in some extra training with me
I know it may not be the norm but in the past he wasn't overly eager to actually train when i suggested, he liked to play with is mates in the park but doing some specific training he'd lose interest
So this is really useful , the 2 things I have always tried to drill into him above all else are first the issue of being aware of his surroundungs all the time ,look left ,look right , glance behind you and never turn your back on the play so when he gets the ball he can immeidiately know before exactly where the space is or crucially Isn't so he can move the ball inti it with his first touch and then this gives him those crucial extra seconds to decide what to do or pick the best pass
And his first touch , using it to set him self up. again move the ball into space straight away, with wharever body part he uses to control it, again so is comfortable receiving the ball in any position and therefore having tmore ime after to use his great left foot and passing ability
His older cousin already plays in ligue 1 in France for the last 3 seasons so we had the privilige of seeing him when they came to Paris to play PSG last season and see him sharing the pitch with Messi and Mbappe which of course is a very special thing to a 10 year old especailly as it was the last season Messi wil play in Europe probabably
Thank you so much for these. They are truly underrated! I'm a woman in my 30s who started playing soccer last April for the first time in my life. For a year I have been working my butt off to learn all of the basic skills that all of my teammates learned when they were kids, and it's really overwhelming but very rewarding. Keep making videos, please!
That’s awesome to hear Kirsten, so glad the videos are helping! Keep working at it and it will all come more naturally👌🧡🧡
Thats actually really cool. Just out of curiosity, what position do you play and what inspire you to pick up the game now? Any players in particular that sparked the football fever in you?
4:50 Hat tip-mate! Quite seamles editing (almost :P)
Your explanation, the subtle music, and the editing everything looks top notch. Cheers!
One of the best channels in football youtube right now. Me implementing some of your principles has helped me play so much better this season and now I'm regularly training with first grade at my club as a 17 year old.
That’s brilliant mate! Congrats on that 👍 So glad you’re getting value out on the vids 😁🧡
I thought you were practicing with kids from first grade, then I realised you meant first team lol
@@alt-32😂😂😂
Great content again Tony! Really key points on this video regarding being comfortable with the ball and being aware of what's around you and what your teammates are doing. Keep them coming.
Cheers Paul! 🧡🧡🧡
These videos are so good. Simple concepts, but one's often overlooked. Keep them coming pal!!
Cheers Rich! So glad you’re enjoying them mate 👍🧡
Always looking out for your videos, refreshing to get a new perspective of the beautiful game.
🧡🧡🧡
Incredible video the things you talk about are mostly minor details of things nearly every football player does yet it improves so much
The things I've listened to so far made me look at every move i make so differently in a good way,i hope you keep making these videos it helps a lot🙏
So good to hear 🧡🧡
Thank you so much for the tips
You’re welcome 🙏🙏
Cheers for all the help mate underrated channel fr
🙏🙏
I always look forward to you vids! Felt like the music and other clips were muffling your voice a bit in the intro though. Still a great video!
Oh shoot, sorry about that. My wife normally point those things out to me. We’ll blame her 🤣 #DontTellHerISaidThat
This one slipped through my sub box😯, another great video as usual mate! Loved the editing
Thanks mate 🧡 good to see you again 😁
Super well done video. Also appreciate the 5 seconds or less where you recorded yourself multiple times to overlap the recordings so it seems you play with yourself as a team. Must've been a lotta extra work. Love it!
Thanks mate!! Glad you noticed 😂 I have to get creative as no one is around during the day
@@thefootballfolk I feel you on that lmao, figured its nice to hear someone notices tidbits you put in way too much work
Been waiting for this to drop so I could adapt so drills for my son. Thank you.

These videos are class mate, great editing if you do it all yourself. You’re starting to sound more Kiwi though so don’t forget where you’re from 😂
Thanks Sean!! I do indeed edit them myself… that’s why they take so long to publish 🤣🤣Oh crap, gonna have to work on that 😅😳
I don't usually comment on videos but I love your content. It is absolutely beautiful. I am a coach but your message delivery is amazing. I make my son watch your videos. Please keep it up and I hope to see you in person one day. Wish you all the success.

Cheers Allan!! 🧡🧡
@@thefootballfolk I wanna be a footballer but life's pretty hard rn... I can't find the inspiration to train anymore... But ever since I started watching your videos I learnt to do things that I'm comfortable with and not trying to copy these famous footballers... I wanna make my own style... And if I make it up there I will remember you man.. cheers to that 💯💯
You made me score a brace in a game ty so much
Yes!!! Good work mate 💪🤩
Bro how does this guy not have more subscribers I’ve learned a lot and the time he puts into the videos is insane keep up the great work
Thanks so much mate. We’re getting there 💪 Next up 50k 🙌
@@thefootballfolk yessir you got this man!
Another triple topper, cheers from Scotland.
Thanks Damian!! 🧡
Bro cloned himself to show us qualities of a good player. Respect.
😅😅 Appreciate it mate
Side effects of being lonely
Same. My boy scored using the old technique you had a video about
I don't play anymore. Anyone still playing the game, these videos will provide you more knowledge than some clubs offer you at a decent level. Glad the algorithm gods put your content in my feed. Subbed.
Thanks mate, that means a lot 🧡🧡
Love your videos! May I ask what kind of level you are playing? Are you playing at a professional or semi-professional level?
Thanks mate. I’m doing UA-cam full time now, so I’m currently playing for a local amateur side to keep the legs moving👌 I did play semi-pro when I was playing
next video on > grasscutter shot \ zing shot technique... plz
Great editing - ✔️
Good advice - ✅
Best channel -✔️
Top quality -✅
Now we need to get you a 100K to 1M subs , and also your own football academy,I'm sure all the children you will teach will become stars . 😊
Thanks so much mate 🙏 It’s incredible to see everyone benefitting from the videos.
Ps: I might be in the process of putting together a course 🤫
I will pay anything for your top secret course,as long as that means I become better at footballer 😁
Your videos are amazing but please bump up the volume of your narration. Thanks!
This football channel is unique on its own. It has a serious yet humorous undertone to it at the same time.
That’s like the best compliment! Thank you 🧡🧡🧡
@@thefootballfolk Thank you. Wish you could produce more quality videos in the future.
3:30
no one:
tony bro: shoutout of 1st video
😉😉😉🧡
5:03 this enraged me, even a blind man wouldve spotted this pass
Bro pls make a video on improving stamina
I’ll put together a fitness video soon :)
Regarding 2:37; how can you play well and develop in a team of ball hogs? Please make a video on that because single player playstation football is ubiquitous in age-group football.
That’s pretty tough. I would suggest have an honest word with them. That’s what I do. And continue to include them in the build up play to establish a bit of a relationship. They might be more willing to pass if they know they might get it back. Still, pretty tough 😤
@@thefootballfolkwe’ve seen this quite a lot over the years, maybe training one and two touch football may also help some of them realize that moving the ball between players is better and quicker and more productive than trying to dribble through a team.
As someone who is progressing in ability quite a lot recently, watching your videos are so helpful and can’t wait for part 3😂but one question-if I’m a cm but lacks quality vision how can I improve that, becuase I seem to never see anyone in space even when I look up before I receive the ball?
🧡🧡🧡 I would suggest to continue to look and get used to what space and opportunity might look like at a glance. It takes practice for sure. Another piece of a advice I would give - if you have the ball and you don’t see anyone available, shift the ball to keep the picture in front of you changing 👍
@@thefootballfolk okay Tysm 💜
Hi Tony, just curious, what club do you support? I like to think you're a Spurs fan since you use Kane clips fairly often 😅
Hey Victor, I’m actually an arsenal fan 😁😅 But of course enjoy Harry Kane as he’s a great footballer 🙌
This guy is going to have millions his videos are perfect always detailed and perfectly edited and understanding how this guy has 40k is shocking
Thanks so much 🧡 So glad you’re enjoying them 😁🙏
@The Football Folk don't see who wouldn't be enjoying them. They are really good and helpful. I've felt a difference in my skills because of these videos! Thank you🧡
Can you try lower volume on background sounds/music? Thanks!
👍👍👍
fire thumbnail, i read the title first then the thumbnail
Cheers mate 🙌🧡
Can you make a video on how to perform a weighted pass?
Is there anything in particular you’d like to know?
@@thefootballfolk the different types of weighted passes, how to perform it, when it's best used, how to practice it etc😊
What position do you play? Because I’ve been Switched from CB to LB as a right foot. I have a relatively hard time opening up the game with the weak foot and often I play dead balls in the offensive movement or pass it back to my CB. Appreciate the help
Practice more with weak foot , that’s the only way trust me it can be done
@@julixnsito im telling my mates to pass it to the left on passing drills
I currently play centre mid, but played most of my career as a striker. I would agree with @minsk and learn to develop your weaker side, but also getting used to playing on that side of the pitch will take time to get used to. I would prioritize getting the ball out of your feet so that you have more space to use your right foot. But also lean into your strengths, Phillip Lahm did this a lot, when he played left back. It might be worth checking out some of his game play 👍
Clowned on Liverpool the entire video, love to see it
😅😅
I was here since 2000 subs
🧡🧡🧡
First Touch is very important so maybe make a first touch video please.
👌👌 I’ll add it to the list 🧡
where you get that grey short!?
They are from Lululemon 😁
big problem i had for a long time was overestimating my teammate's abilities and not taking their stamina into account when passing
It’s especially apparent when you’re playing at a level below you’re ability. Although it’s fun, it can be frustrating.. 🙏
Te falto videos de el burrito Ortega
What a player!!
Hello is there a chance I can talk to you privately need to ask something?!
How are those pumas you’re wearing?
So good! Really enjoying them tbf 👌

0:18 Wait… there’s 3 episodes?

Where is episode 3?
It’s coming soon 😬 Promise
111th like is mine)
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you 🙏
Im 25 yrs, is it too late to pursue football career, i used to be very talented as kid thought ?
I think Jamie Vardy was 28 when he got he’s break. And it doesn’t have to be to his level, anything 10% of that would be a successful career in my eyes 👍
What's The Next Video Going To Be About?
Well that would be telling 😉🙃🧡
