For me Scott Dixon is IndyCar's Fernando Alonso. Type of making interview, age, still great performance, smart to sneaky peeky for win. (I'm European, my first love in car racing was and is F1, second is IndyCar.) (I know Fernando was in IndyCar, but for short time.)
Sorry for the late post, but WOW!!’ What a race!!! Scott Dixon pulls out the win. Age and treachery overcame youth and skill today!!! Feel bad for Graham, but at least he gave it his all. Not bad second place. Next up, the final oval race for 2023, St.Louis!!! 🏁🏁🏁
Finding the best car setup is one of the most important skills. Of course the driver is not alone on that one, but ultimately it's his responsibility to find the higher risk/reward combinations. Scott's experience and talent seems to be unmatched when in adverse conditions. Give him just a bit of luck and i think he can win one more championship.
Bullshit! He only won because it took them way to long to clean up an accident that had no fluids spilt, no broken parts to sweep up, they allowed him to pit under yellow while Graham had all three stops under green, the officials were who won that for Scott, he just had to hit fuelage numbers. Rahal was faster all day, that race was his without the 7 lap yellow for a minor accident, would still like to hear the explanation for why they held them up for at least 3 laps longer than needed. Scott is an exceptional driver with major skills, but without that extended yellow he didn't have a chance.
@@alias19 Dixon led only because the entire field had to pit, Rahal had used reds for his last stint which would have been fine had Dixon not had 7 fewer laps on his tires.
@@philipkalin1928 Dixon fan or just a band wagon jumper? Rahal is my favorite driver. Facts speak for themselves, without a 7 lap cleanup , which he topped off fuel under yellow, Dixon would have finished in maybe the top 10
They raced at this track earlier in the year. I think they can't put the sponsor in the video for international sponsorship viewers. So therefore, Race 2 was the workaround for labeling.
@@goodhorsehymnRace 2 started as a COVID race for 2020. Then NBC, who owns the IndyCar rights and the 2nd half of the NASCAR season said they wanted to do an IndyCar/NASCAR doubleheader weekend with both series at 1 location and Roger Penske offered to host the event.
@@robywhenthe Aha, so I AM being dumb - for some reason, I had it in my head that it was an Indy double header - like one Saturday and one Sunday - Sunday I guess was for the Cup cars only.
Great race! I love these 30 min Highlights
They are wonderful. No other big racing series give us that...
But thanks to them I started watching the full races every week
@@jaguatiricaimediata5305 Yes, as a European I can't watch the races most of the time but I enjoy these highlights more than the F1 races this season!
Im convinced Scott Dixon is some kind of unicorn. 19 straight seasons with at least 1 win is insane.
its his fuel saving wizardry
SGOD DIXON
Even having watched this race I still don't excpect watching it now for Devlin to just send it like that. Amazing pass.
I really thought he was going to crash
When you’re Scott Dixon, nothing is impossible.
Let’s go Scott Dixon! Staying on fire!
Dixon still got the touch, another victory added to his scorebook!!!
Makes him a step closer to get to AJ Foyt's record but its a very, very long way

Scott has been racing for CGR for a long time. Almost 2 decades. And he has never burnt any bridges in his time
Your a Champion and a true Kiwi Scott. Your one of us, so proud of you.Congrats from New Zealand 🇳🇿 👏
Scott Dixon , Dan Carter, Jonah Lomu and Richie McCaw best ever. From Argentina

Scott Dixon spin to win. Before the crash on lap 1, Dixon on first few corners, thread the needle, drove past 6 to 7 cars, great stuff.
I'm miss F1 so much. They use to put on an amazing race there at Indy every year till that last one. Summer break sucks so bad for us fans!
No they didn’t😂😂😂😂
You must’ve enjoyed snooze fest 01-05 then
Indianapolis the best city in the world
So great to hear these engines whizzing by
I'm not sure how Dixon was able to dust Graham on every straightaway but that was pretty intense. His car setup was so much better than Rahal's.

Too bad that Devlin DeFrancesco couldn’t do more today because of the tyre disadvantages……. That lap 1 overtake was beautiful
I love how devlin went from leading the race to a lap down😂
i still like the look of an early 80s Indy car better.

Last time i saw a start like this was Verstappen Mexico 2021. What was that OMG

Race 1 was months ago, scroll down a bit and you’ll find something
