2:45 Why am I not surprised. Triceratops, Another popular Dinosaur we’re all very familiar with has also been cut out of the final production of this Disney Film. Like it’s natural predator the T.Rex AKA Tyrannosaurus Rex & it’s 5 horned cousin the Pentaceratops.
You are correct friend. Originally the Carnotaurs were meant to be a pair of Tyrannosaurus, but the dinosaur is so iconic that Disney wanted to go with a newer more fearsome looking carnivore.
Mr. N So I’ve heard. More importantly. #1 They decided to have a break on the Rex. #2 One of the Directors of this said they weren’t predators, but Scavengers. To me, I say this. Oh come on, like any carnivore today T.Rexes might’ve done both. They’ll scavenge if food is available. But they’re not going to wait for something to die, When they’re hungry, they’re going to go out to catch & kill something. 2:45 Especially fighting with prey that’s armed with horns & frills.
So, does anyone know who exactly that parasaurolophus with the elders was? Cause I’m guessing that he must’ve been one of many deleted characters. And I’m also that thinking that he just might be the same parasaurolophus from the opening of the film
26 12 2020 oh my GOD im really surprised marveled by discovered this only now after loving this movie for soooo long!!! Reading ALL the comments well written and observed i agree ALL those details, explanations, im só excited!!! Hahaha thanks for posting onde more!!!!
Johnathon Barker so, the movie was interesting, I think I just did not like the way the characters moved and looked in the CGI simulation, they kinda scared me a bit?
Kerstin Keller Hmmm well sometimes 3D Animation Tests can look a Little Strange or Creepy & Actually some times it can look a little Scary but the only CGI Test that kinda freaked me out before was The Monster Cloud Tests at least the 3D Workbook Version cause it's Darkish Red with Black in it so that's what I can think of.
If i ever make dinosaur movie like this for Disney, i probably change the dinosaur species, Pachyrhinosaurus and Styracosaurus replaced by Torosaurus and Ojoceratops, Brachiosaurus replace by Alamosaurus, Iguanodon replace by Kritosaurus, Velociraptor replace by Dakotaraptor, Carnotaurus by T-rex, Pteranodon by Queztacoatlus, the small ceraptosian replace Leptoceratops, Number of overrated dinosaur is outnumbered by unfamiliar dinosaur
I wonder if they made Baylene the last Sarupod to save on time and budget? I'm sure the larger model Dinos would have taken more time, effort, and money to work on. Just a theroy.
You could say the same thing for Styracosaurus cause one of them was the main character. It was because the Triceratops was overused in cinema. The DINOSAUR crew wanted to go for some new kinds of dinosaurs to represent their movie, species even more interesting and were underrated. Might also have to do with the geological time this film was set in because you have both Parasaurolophus, Styracosaurus, Euoplocephalus (Earl), Pteranodon, Velociraptor, and Carnotaurus (all animals that lived around 80-70 million years ago) featured throughout it. Since Pachyrhinosaurus lived alongside at least 4 out of the 6 of these creatures....it kinda makes sense why the Trike and T.Rex were replaced.
@@and_nak92 well thats what i also loved about Disney's Dinosaur movie that the dinosaurs in it are mainly the underrated species not counting Brachiosaurus, Pteranodon, Velociraptor and Parasaurolophus but Ankylosaurus, Iguanodon, Styracosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Microceratops, Struthiomimus and Carnotaurus are pretty underrated species
In 20 years I us to watch Disney's Dinosaur
with my Mother, Step Father and Brothers when I was a kid,
It was wonderful I always love dinosaur movies.
I love this movie so much . im an animator im very impressed with the storyboard designs
Take a look at this video.

I remember watching this movie on vhs and I absolutely loved it. The filming was so well done. The animation was so breathtaking.

There's something appealing in the storyboards designs, it gives to me, this 2D animation feeling, characters seems so "Disney style"...
Abe Israeli That's how I think of it as.
This ver of aladar join herd is more epic than the final one, you could see Baylene scale more epic and awesome
3:14 Those faces, ha ha.
I think if Pachyrhinosaurus used to be Triceratops, is the Carnotaurus originally Tyrannosaurus

Super Mario Logan Fan 1st the T.Rex was cut out. Then the Pentaceratops. 2:45 Now this, the Triceratops.
icon of terry from dinosaur king
I love they used both species not so common to this movie. There are already too many T-rex and triceratops in the movies hahah
This time Thomas Haden Church can do the voice of Kron
and John Goodman can do the voice of Bruton.
2:11 Damn Kron looks very scary and intimadating in this storyboard.
He kinda does actually.
So, does anyone know who exactly that parasaurolophus with the elders was? Cause I’m guessing that he must’ve been one of many deleted characters. And I’m also that thinking that he just might be the same parasaurolophus from the opening of the film
2:52 So the Microceratus in the final version were originally going to be small bipedal ornithopods instead of Microceratus?
Also there were more sauropods surviving the extinction event unlike in the final version? :D

So there was also an elderly Parasaralophus that was suppose to be part of the old group
At 3:02,where did that other sauropod come from?I guess they were thinking of adding another one, possibly an Alamosaurus
Actually that is a Parasaralophus.
I remember watching this when I was in pre school, and I didn't know what cringe was, but I just never watched the movie again.
Really?, huh, okay well what did you think of it when you were in Pre-School the First Time you watched?

If the film was traditionally animated, it would have come out visually stronger even if a not so great script unless story problems were solved.
good video

Most likely the case for all we know.
Cool 😎

Is it possible that there’s a gap in gigantosaurid family tree meaning there’s a even larger undiscovered Gigantosaurid out there @Johnathon Barker
I don't really know, Probably.
@@JohnathonBarker it could be true after they found a new armoured dinosaur in Argentina
@@DylanZombie Wait they Found more?
@@JohnathonBarker yes they did this new armoured dinosaur fills the gap for the evolution of Ankylosaurids

Why did they replace the triceratops with pachyrhinosaururs is it because pachyrhinosaurus need attention?
Wish I knew.
Probably sounds accurate. They chose the carnotaurus instead of T-rex just for that same reason.
