War Thunder has 2 Olifant MBTs (MK1A and MK1B) and 3 Ratels (90, 20 and ATGM carrier). As well as an Eland 90. And like 4 Rooikats (76, 105, MTTD, and SPAA). And also the Loggim Prototype MBT.
SA has alwasy valued mobility over protection. large open area's of land or savana open manovering the enemy of paramount. SA used this tactic to great effect in the Ahgolan wars where out APC like the ratel 90 took out enemy T55 tanks.
At 4:15, I think the good suspension has less to do with 'gameplay first' but actually more to do with the capabilities of the vehicle. Just taking a look at the Casspir MRAP and other V-Shaped hull vehicles developed at the time for the SADF, generally speaking, the South Africa's had really good suspension in real life.

No it isn't. This is based on the SAMIL 20 chassis, by way of the Bulldog and Rhino APC. These were designed to replace the Unimog-based Buffel APC to ensure compatibility with the rest of the SAMIL based inventory. The Ystervark was basically the Rhino/Bulldog with the rear crew cab removed to give proper cross country mobility to a basic 20mm AA system pending the introduction of the far more sophisticated Rookat SPAAG.
My personal friend who fought in Angola during our 23 year war 1966-1990 actually shot down a Russian Mig 29 during the South African Border War using this Ystervark as he was a gunner on the Ystervark and all our SADF vehicles had plenty combat experience and all of our vehicles were designed to handle any landmine combat proven over and over again so you might talk from your opinion I got my info first hand from the real deal Ystervark gunner He told me that thing kicks ass 👊🏼💥😂
