Seeing this I don't think the 12S series will be any different. Anti-flicker mode didn't do a thing. Any recommendations? I really wanted the magic 4 pro to be released in India, but I guess that's not happening.

But there are many people who say their eyes hurt when using low-frequency PWM dimming phones for long use. DC dimming phones do not have this problem. So we say that phones with DC dimming will be more friendly to some people's eyes.
@@GizmoChinaTube idk but is it possible that people talking about their heads hurting near cell towers which kinda forced OEMs to adopt SAR value limitations were all born from old CRT and LCD tvs or monitors which might have used PWM dimming at the time but people thought that their phones or towers caused it? This is just a theory since mobile phones only emit non-ionising EMR and technically we are always surrounded by EMR including light itself, so could it be due to that PWM dimming but people thought otherwise? Now, it can also be a placebo but any theory correlated to such? I know it's a lot of discussion and including a hoax theory, but maybe it's the real culprit...idk...just guessing
Are you using low brightness or high brightness swaraj? A high brightness display can also hurting eyes Anti flicker mode sometimes only work in low brightness setting to reduce pwm

Just got mine, I absolutely LOVE it. It takes amazing photos and videos, my main reason for getting it. It also happens to be ridiculously fast. :D I just posted a video about the gift box that XiaoMi sent me with my phone. I took the whole video with the 12S Ultra, at night, in terrible lighting conditions and it turned out really well. Remarkable camera.
An extremely honest review, not holding back any criticisms of the phone just to please the manufacturer or sensationalize like other reviewers may do. I can definitely see a difference between the pictures taken with the 11 Ultra and the 12S Ultra, having them both in hand and taking the same pictures at the same time. Definitely something like you said, each shot is different. Some tip in favor to the 11 Ultra, some to the 12S Ultra. I think the biggest difference I've noticed is that the 12S Ultra has much smoother video, especially in low light. I also quite like the Leica colour science, it's very pleasing to my eyes. :D

What I like about the 12S Ultra is the less noisy low light shot and the great light to shadow brightness. So it'll probably be on my list. I do think that adding variable aperture on the device can make it better since it can also help in highlight control and portraits scene. Could add around tha round rim to better Maybe they can also engineer a movable lens to help with portraits for the main camera. I do hope they upgrade the tele and UW but to what extent unsure. Looks great already. Overall I think this is great hardware and just need some tuned software.
Well...i dunno. I have Global ROM, i have night mode for pics or vids (auto detect if i want), i have HEIF , 10bits, and i have albums, even search mode. Only and onli one minus it's Macro photo. They are fine with Macro mode using the uktrawide, but i had better phone cameras.
This phone is all about the camera. If you're very hard core into photography then by all means get it. It's also sort of good for gaming, otherwise it's a step back, smaller screen (not by much though), battery I think.. all the reviews says so. I had the chance to buy it but I chose the 11 Ultra instead. The design of this does look maybe hottest out there but don't let that fool you, think of the actual practicality of this device applied to your life style. In other words if you're not taking lots of pictures then it's not worth it. This is for those confused between choosing this or 11 Ultra 🧐

This is one authentic review, not like those who only focus on the Leica mark. In terms of telelense, video performance, battery, software, even sound quality, the 12su is not a big upgrade from 11u. Some major problems are still not fixed, such as unable to switch lenses in 60fps, no super dim mode, cannot lock screen when double click in homepage, 48 hrs instead of 72hrs to force retyping password, etc. Major downgrade is the front camera. No 1080 60fps, and no rear display. I mean, is this really a newer device?
Performance, definitely 12s Ultra. Battery, they are pretty much the same. Camera, prefer Leica color and record video, choose Xiaomi. Love portrait photography, choose vivo.
Since MIUI 13 became stable and less buggy, there is not much to say. I like that the desktop can not show text, which I can't do on my MI 11 Ultra. This makes my desktop look cleaner.
When you have a 1′′ main sensor, you think about putting quality macro on the ultra wide angle. In fact, the only good news with this Xiaomi 12s Ultra is to see that Qualcomm has finally released a high-end quality processor. 1. Only telephoto and main camera have OIS. It is not much different from other flagship phones such as the x80 pro in very low light. 2. You can only shoot macro photos with the ultra wide camera, about 4cm. 3. It has a 5x optical telephoto lens. 4. Super zoom supports up to 120x, 5x to 10x 12s Ultra is better. Over 10x is definitely Samsung better because of the 10x optical lens.

In some aspect, there are downgrades comparing to the previous version, and in other it feels like a downgrade, but in other is clear an upgrade.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra isn't the only one sporting the Sony IMX989 Sensor, Sharp Aquos R7 also uses
The aquos uses some form of 1 inch sensor, but definitely not an imx989
This Sony sensor are custom made for this 12s ultra, not same as used in other phone
That's it.. I won't be changing my 11 ultra for a 12s ultra even if Xiaomi plans to officially launch it here in India.

if I bought from china will the phone support 3g 4g bandwidth in India? last time I bought mi3 from china even before it's release in India and I was not able to get 3g... any idea gizmochina?
There's shouldn't be any problem for 3g/4g compatibility, but you might have problem with 5G
