...is Angel finally good?? I tried him in a Buff deck!

- Angel got an interesting buff this week, but it didn't seem to make him any better for Destroy decks. So I decided to try him out in a deck that buffed his stats instead!

Power Estimate: This deck worked well for me, landing at a 69% win rate, but I can't imagine it's better than more proven Sera Surfer decks with the data to back them up. Angel was fine, and worked as expected, but a more reactive card would almost certainly prove more valuable.

Seeing regis surprised by the angel with the decklist labeled “handbuff angel” above his head will always be funny.
This is a really cool idea. The good part of his text is largely accepted to be the deck thinning, and you can still use him for that, but this is a really clever way to leverage the new buff. Very creative.
I like these type of honest, consistent decks but sadly they fall short against so many other decks that gets kinda hard to play them
Why even include an 1 cost when you could just swap it with a 6 cost that you can cheat out ?

They probably want to keep angel very simple for new players but cmon at least give him like +1 power if you activate his effect so he's at least a bit more exciting
Destroy does not need a 0/3 with no drawback
I don't think there are any cards in the best destroy deck that a 1/3 angel would be better than.
@@chrisvanderheiden12 If it did have that effect, I’m sure it would find a spot. It would be a destroy deck less reliant on Deadpool but would still perform greatly. Death-wave was one of the strongest decks in the game.
The ability to thin your deck early in the game by flying out the deck is good, lets you find your Knull and Death.
Regardless of that, 0/3 is solid power and it always lands in the lane of the card you just killed so it sets up for Venom perfectly.
All in all, it would be quite a strong variation of the current destroy deck. Sorry for the rant.
I feel like the biggest effect this change will have is to bait new players even more into thinking he is the best card ever.

Once I got the location that replaces your deck with random cards (I forgot the name) and I lost in power but little did I know that m’baku was in that randomised deck so he popped out of my deck winning the game 😂

The worst part about Angel to me was always that he would come to the board on turn 2 or 3 after your first destroy so he didn't even have the surprise factor of M'Baku. So I like this idea of saving your one destroy for a turn 6 killmonger to bring Angel out at the end of the game. Still not a good card but this definitely seems like the best way to use him

Honestly I thought they would give this new ability (jumping on board from both deck or hand) as a buff to him but since it's kinda similar I wonder if they would do similar for him.
Angel should be completely redesigned.
The way I would do it is make Angel a 1/3 card with the ability to transform into Archangel when destroyed.
Archangel would be a 1/0 card that cannot be destroyed and that gains +1 power for every destroyed card in the game (so at bare minimum it's a 1/1).
I think it would make sense, lorewise, since Archangel is born from the Death Seed, so having a mechanic similar to Death (costs 1 less for every destroyed card).

I like it, but it sounds insanely good. Although, I guess with SD's past, a 1-10 would be nothing new
make that a 2/0 and I think it's pretty balanced, also would give us the chance to have cool Archangel art!
@@brandonstaker1441tbf they're already adding 1 drops with similar mechanics (miek gets +1 for every card discarded). It would be nice if destroy had something similar and it makes sense lorewise for angel
My idea for arch angel is similar but would be a 2 cost with amazing stats but would destroy itself if a card isn't destroyed per turn but your idea is cool too:)

As a Series 2 player (for the remainder of this week, at least), it’s actually sometimes better to ignore Angel’s effect and directly sacrifice it to Carnage

I wonder if they change it to 1/4 but you can't play this card unless something is destroyed and it will fly into the position from your hand or your deck.

@@thonystark4423 Look at Hawkeye who can easily get a 1/4 statline or Nebula/Sunspot scaling. 1/4 isn't even that crazy of a suggestion tbh, especially if you pair it up with a 'must play itself to get +2' condition.

sera lets you play 3 3cost cards on turn 6 so yes it most definitely fits into this deck.

Marvel snap should add daily mission that says win with certain cards 10 times, so everyone don't play the same stuff over and over 😊
Or add daily missions that say win without certain cards like blob, that way you can guarantee not seeing the same stuff over and over

I think you rushed the Elysium game. If you had held back Shaw and Daken turn 4 would have been 7 cards in hand with Sera coming down to make it 6. You could have put down Gladiator on turn 5. 6 could have been Nakia, Daken and then 7 would have been a dump of Nova, Shard, Shaw, Sinister, Surfer, Killmonger. Shaw and Daken are far bigger this way.
