I know I'm getting old when I'm really excited for a new Dyson product.
Did you collect your dirty water?
@@LeonSparrow now I'm waiting for Dyson to invent a new water purifier so I can reuse or drink it /s
Same bro, sane
Me too. And this product is actually something I'd buy.
ok, echo that! haha😅😅
As an engineer, I have massive respect for the Dyson company you can tell that the company spends a lot of time, money and energy on design and cares about performance and innovation. I don't have enough hard surfaces in my current home to justify buying one, but if I did, I would. Well done!
But still don’t care about their customers it seems.
And even if only the plastic trigger is not working (just the spring inside), they let us buy the whole motor. In the waiting list for 10days, and within that day if it doesn’t arrive, they will let us but the new dyson with 25% discount. What a good marketing strategy! without taking care of their customers.😔
As an engineer, you haven’t got the slightest clue on what you’re talking about. Dyson products have been tested independently and have been proven to perform at the same level as products that are 10 times cheaper. Much like other firms however, Dyson relies heavily on marketing to sell its products despite its products objectively not justifying its price tag.
@@Rightonrightoff bingo
Dyson schmyson, does it dry the roller after? There are robot vac and mops that do since 2019.
why am i watching an ad for a vacuum cleaner?
I thought it was a new AI robot lol
Because they’re an essential part of life and having one that can multitask FOR you, so you don’t have to spend as much time cleaning, would be pretty great methinks.?
@@Hmy8799 they're an essential part of my cleaners life
You’re not, it’s a mop and it doesn’t rely on suction.
Because it's fucking dyson
Waiting for someone to compare this to a regular $15 mop in terms of efficiency and ease of maintenance
One does multiple tasks at once, self cleans, you don’t have to figure out how to continue mopping without just spreading dirty-floor-water, no potential of over saturating floor with liquid, that’s just what immediately comes to mind-haha I reaaally don’t enjoy mopping, but recognize it’s necessary so this sounds like a freakin dream to me.
I know alternative “versions” exist…but Dyson simply doesn’t put out poor products. ACTUALLY their air purifier was def not top notch and I’m actually very surprised they didn’t take more time to improve it by putting money behind the science before putting one on the market. If they HAD, I feel like it would have been the go-to air purifier for those who could afford it (and anyone who prioritizes health/invests in purchases that will improve it in exchange for daily coffee runs etc).
Hahaha oops, ADHD tangent. BUT, for the most part, Dyson only releases premium products. It seems like they’re going to try to kill all competition with this, as they could have come out with a “decent” one ASAP quite easily. Methinks it will be game changing for keeping the house clean and healthier without spending nearly as much time and ENERGY as is typically needed to accomplish what they seem to be aiming to do with this guy!
@@Hmy8799thanks for your insightful comment, I’m not neurotypical either and enjoy reading people talk about something extensively
@@aesth1cc cheers to neurodiversity💙!! It’s been really great to take a step back as an adult, and look for (and find!!) the things I actually love about having a brain that works differently than most and honestly wouldn’t want to be changed-especially after solely thinking of it as being problematic and making getting through school/doing the basic “adult” things/tasks etc so much harder. Alsooo, having to overcome all of the challenges that we do/already have really does seem to change us in the best ways-more empathetic, open minded, and all that jazz.
Haha I’m sure you’ve already realized all of this but, y’know-ADHD and 3AM😂😂😂
@@Hmy8799 great to see I’m not the only one experiencing progress in that regard. I think the internet plays a big role. Love it or hate it but exchanging information so effortlessly is exactly what the neurodiverse crowd needs to find out about themselves or converse with others without all the drawbacks of a real life conversation. We just have to watch out not to make it *too* easy on ourselves.
@@aesth1cc COULDN’T AGREE WITH YOU MORE on literally every single thing you said!! Thanks for putting a giant ass smile on my face! Love having exchanges like this!!
This solves the major problem I have with all the wet dry floor cleaners out there. They are all super hard to clean out and require frequent maintenance to keep from smelling! The fact it separates wet and dry is fantastic!
What? There isn’t a machine out there you can’t strip down in less than 10 seconds. What a silly comment. 😂
Thanks for the feedback - glad you're as excited for the Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner as we are! 😀
Philips Aquatrio 9000. Have it and love it. Dyson has two additional brushes here though, can imagine they give some advantage. But I like that my Philips is a 2in1 switchable device.
Hizero is a much better option. And they were they first to come up with the wet and dry waste separation.
@@dyson. Great. I definitely want to review it. I'm a huge dyson fan with 10+ machines from you.
This is the exact same mechanism by which Hizero (which has existed since 2017) works. Hizero has even won the Edison award and many more for their design.
Hizero has been the only bionic mop that completely separates wet and dry debris in the way Dyson is making it sound like they have, through "hardwork" and "R&D".
I challenge anyone to lookup a video on how Hizero works on here and you can judge for yourself if Dyson is really being innovative as they are intelligently alluding to be.
feels like this debris catcher also suitable for dry vacuums.
The Hizero has a high-density polymer roller that sweeps and mops in the forward direction but only mops backward. In contrast, Dyson has two counter-rotating micro-fiber rollers
which lets it mop and sweep simultaneously and in all directions with double (two rollers) the cleaning power.
The Hizero's debris catcher doesn't seem to filter the debris from the cleaning water in the catch tray; it just catches the debris.
@@Domineon Hizero does filter dirty water from the debris into a separate dirty water tank. As I said they were the first to accurately separate debris from the dirty water. Making cleaning a less "disgusting" task.
As for the rollers, a polymer roller is actually less likely to harbor bacteria as compared to a microfiber roller. Therefore last longer and requires less cleaning to avoid odors. As well as leave less water on your floor.
I will say the addition of the second roller on the Dyson does provide a slight advantage at best. As you said, it sweeps and mops in both forward and backward motion. I would not say it strictly doubles the cleaning power though. The gains from that are negligible.
Another point to note, the Hizero is very efficient with it's water usage, while still providing a perfect clean. Only time will tell how much cleaning can be had on one tank of water with the Dyson.
Now, whether or not the price $$$$ tag associated with the Dyson is worth it based on the level of "engineering", "R&D" and "innovation" that went into this product, I leave up to others to decide.
@@KilluaZoldyck-kc8ru It looks decent, but not sold anywhere local. Which means it probably isn't serviced or exchanged anywhere local. The good thing about Dyson, personally, is that they are sold everywhere. Within 5 miles I can pick one up at Lowes, Target, Best Buy. Which means I can also buy the extended replacement insurance and just drive up the road and replace it in 15 minutes if something goes wrong. That is especially important to me based on the fact we don't have ground mail, so everything bought or sent for service is by air and very expensive.
The Roborock Dryad separates wet and dry too
Now THAT'S a Dyson Wet floor vac if I've seen one!
Definitely excited for further development.
I'm intrigued to see how well this handles my wife's abundant hair shedding. The rollers seem like they could accumulate hair quickly!
This is probably designed to vacuum first and then use the washer. The solid pickup is just for anything that you might have missed
All of this knowledge and effort put towards a vacuum. I like it.
Clearly a response to products like the roborock Dyad Pro. In fact, 0:33 looks almost identical to the Dyad Pro. I'm excited for the competition heating up!
Can’t wait for the vacuum wars review on this
Now waiting for the version that has the illumination feature and it's a quick buy

This is one fascinating machine! I'm gonna keep my bissel crosswave as I dont see any reason to upgrade it (based on this video it doesn't seem do anything the bissel can't) but I'm still thoroughly interested in this!
So cool. buying asap
if you watch closely at the very end of the clip, the five spots was not entirely wiped cleanly, you can still see the 5 spots. Dreame just launched their vacmop as well. i will test both and see which is better.
I have to praise them for being honest here and showing that cleaning a dry stain is not a magical process and that just one pass isn't generally enough
Most manufacturers will always show the stain being removed in a single passage with their machines, none are ever honest about the fact that is often take more, so thanks for being (kinda) honest here
( On the other hand, ok the cleaner is pretty expensive for what it is, but it's Dyson, you know you pay the brand. And I can see some weaknesses in this cleaner compared to a more heavy duty model, but it's only the first (second with the submarine ? ) gen, it will only get better, and look like they are aiming for it to be more of a light duty model for quick everyday uses anyway, which is a good idea, there isn't a lot of options in this category )
I need this. Thank you Dyson.
Hi there, thank you for showing great interest in our Dyson WashG1, Kindly help us with your country of residence so that we will be able to assist you with the exact price, features and specifications of it.
@@dyson USA
Still need a drying mode in the cleaning process or you have strong smell after use.
There appears to be a red button that detaches one side of the device and lets you remove the rollers. You'd need to let these stand and dry after the wash cycle it seems.
@@grimacemcccheese oh ok that is not very handy. Roborock or dreame have aktive heating in the dock
Brilliant idea! Hopefully it could adjust the spraying to minimal to make it works for hardwood flooring as well.
In the video, they show that it has adjustable water levels.
That's really cool, although I never had an issue cleaning my house with my regular non-electronic mop.
I appreciate Dyson efforts, in the last 20 years. But still now, if you want your floor to be clean with no effort, you have to first vaccum them, and after, use a I-Mop Lite from I-team. it's a game changer.
My roborock does all this while I am not even home. Dyson is creating solutions for problems that have already been solved by other companies with far better solutions.
What’s the battery running time of cleaning? and if need charging then how long will it take to charge back to full battery
Runtime is 35 minutes. Charging to full takes around 4 hours.
Not sure if Dyson will do better in water collection to leave a relatively dry surface after cleaning. Have Bissell and Tineco at my home, while both clean extremely well, they leave my tiles quite damped which is a pain for me.
And I'm sure the "hard particles" will not be as dry to tip out with ease either. That collection house will also be damp.
When is this out in the U.K.?
I live near Malmesbury so I could pop into the factory :)

Edited like they've cured cancer with this overcomplicated mop. Dyson is really at one end of the wealth divide.
Poor
Poor people don't care anyways... We use Pine Sol and a mop!
it's only for the wealthy people, yes.
I’m surprised the wetting mechanism isn’t spraying the water on the roller with a pressurized fan spray pattern. The concentrated stream doesn’t seem like it wets the roller in a way to even out the water.
Great but how does this work around corners & cabinetry? Major issue with normal vacuum cleaners is they often times can't get into corners/edges due to their inherent design.
Amazing. Looking forward for this product. How much it may cost?
Beautiful engineering
How long do the microfibre rolls last before you need to replace them?
We recommend replacing the Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner’s rollers every 6 months, depending on usage. The UI screen displays an alert to remind you to replace the rollers.
A lot of robot mop companies put so much effort into building their software (which barely works because of a stupid formulaic standard autonomous vehicle hardware platform everyyyone copies from each other) that they don’t put any effort into the functional hardware side of things. Dyson knows that and perfects it and that’s what would make ppl wanna buy. If it is expensive and doesn’t work as magical, nobody cares how good your software is!
I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner at home, but the only problem with that is that it leaves marks on my wooden floors and deep down on my marble that look like thin lines, will this new wet floor cleaner not allow this to happen?
As usual, a very innovative product
does it have a usb port for Updates?
i mean like for new accessoires without buying new the same Modell with new bios.
ore better Implikationen for VR (saw some interesting Videos 🤔)
would be interessant ideas to stand out more 🤷
Cool. I'll start the process of remortgaging my house to buy one. ❤
I love the attention to detail and scientific approach.
Question: If I already have a Dyson vacuum cleaner, is it enough to get the Submarine attachment for wet floor cleaning? Or is this dedicated wet floor cleaner much better than that? I have small hard floor spaces so it isn't a big job area-size wise.
Thank you.
The Dyson Submarine™ wet roller head is only compatible with V12s and V15s machines - it won't work with other Dyson cordless vacuums. So if you already own a Dyson vacuum, you could either choose the new Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner, or one of the Dyson Submarine vacuums, depending on your needs.
@@dyson I have a V15 and i can't buy the submarine on it's own. why is that?
The Dyson Submarine™ wet roller head is not compatible with any of our other vacuums, including pre-purchased V12 and V15 vacuums. To intelligently switch between wet and dry cleaning, the V12s and V15s vacuums have been reprogrammed. Our previous software is not compatible with wet floor cleaning.
This is fabulous !
Is it going to be made all of plastic and the pieces will periodically break after the warranty time?
yes i’m a victim!
Real innovation right here. more interesting than any recent Apple keynote.
Unlike the robot (which is behind the curve, and doesn’t have any real USPs or unique selling points), this floor cleaner appears to be a true game changer in the hard floor cleaner segment.
This is so brilliant ❤
I always needed this for horror movie night
Marketing video at it's best.
When did James Blunt start working for Dyson?
No drying mode during the self cleaning process? Ouch!
Exactly! Won't this make it more likely to smell and get mouldy
What I understand is that drying mode which typically using air blower concept potential will blows the dirty/molds contained mist into the air and it could be harmful. Pro con.
this seems like a response to the tineco tech overall. Their floor washers are the best, and the new Pure One station seems to have an awesome self cleaning system.
When will Dyson make Handheld Steam Iron?
I want one!
first of all, how durable is that microfiber roll? will you need replacements every now and then?
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out and showing your interest in Dyson new technology. We would like to inform you that it completely depends on the usage of the cleaner head.
Anyone got a rough idea on price? I’ve seen £599 online but hoping it’s less than this! Would be interesting to try and compare to my cheaper rug doctor
Is it compatible with v12s?
when are we gonna be able to replace the rollers out of these handheld vacuums. Sucks once the rollers on one of the new modern vacuums go bad you have to dispose the whole device
Does it have hot water cleaning and hot air drying?
Nope!… but Bissell has steam.
Very excited for it. I’ll give it a year or two, so that all potential issues could be figured out by others, though.
When is it coming to India? I want to purchase it ASAP !!
Check out smart mop by Caspian in India, they came in shark tank recently
How long does that rollers last. I won’t buy it if I must replace it every 10 months.
I think I’ll buy this soon
great work 👏 👏
I have a question. How does it get the water up to the dirty water tank if it does not use suction 🧐
좋은 제품을 만들어주신 다이슨 연구원 개발진 분들께 감사드립니다🫡
How does this mop do in homes with pets? And can you add detergent to the water?
Hi there, The new Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner picks up pet hair and human hair. The microfiber wet rollers and the internal brush bars are easily dismantled for maintenance. If you decide to use detergent, please choose gentle, common household detergents, and do not use bleach and high-foaming formulation.
they solved all the issues i have with my bissell!
For everyone asking for a drying mode, it appears theres a red button that lets you detach one side of the device, remove the rollers and air dry them after the wash cycle.
This new gadget is pretty cool, but nothing can beat my epic mopping skills while jamming out to music and conquering chores!
Does this work with soapy water?
The Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner is engineered to clean effectively using just clean water. But if you want, you can add a low-foaming antibacterial detergent to the water tank, diluted per the manufacturer's instructions.
Im not even 30 and im so excited for this. Now take my money!

My personal robot is gonna love this
My robot vacuum/mop already does this for me.....why are they putting soo much money into developing things that require a person to operate, when you can spend basically the exact same money to have a little robot do the same job for you?...
Just bought the Dyson Submarine! Now this! Aargh
I was totally disappointed by the Submarine and I really hope that cleaning this one will be easier!
I like that the only problem is that you can't reach small intersect like between the furniture ecc.

I’ve been using a Bissell Crosswave X7 for a year now, and aside from the tedious maintenance and running through cleaning solution like there’s no tomorrow, I’ve been satisfied with it. I can’t wait to try out the WashG1.
@@CharlesBojangles I had the same frustration with the Crosswave, but there is no need for solutions with this Dyson; it requires just a few steps to clean. this is engineering.❤
Fantastic work on this new innovative design. Kind regards China
Available in the USA when please?
Dyson is NASA of floor cleaning
« We developped a new system using two contra-rotating rollers » WOW just like the Karcher FC7 for years now…

The Dyson WashG1 wet cleaner is our first dedicated wet floor cleaner, engineered to wash hard floors. The Dyson Submarine™ vacuums are our multifunctional vacuum cleaners, which include a wet roller cleaner head, dust illumination and anti-tangle technologies.
Dude! I just want to clean floors for fun now!
Big problem with straining everything through a mesh to separate the liquids and solids is that usually the solids you pick up with this are soggy and will quicky clog the strainer causing the liquid the fill up instead of flow through, and eventually overflow back onto the floor.
YES! Separated solids and liquids. This is how all hard floor washers should have been made from the beginning. Hizero had no real competition until now.
Finally! Thank you for listening.
Great product but… As a pleb consumer, how much are those rollers and how often those need changing under normal use and will I need a second mortgage?
will it beat a Tineco s7 pro? let's find out when vacuum wars do a video on this XD
So cool
the unpleasant smell of wet vacuum is true.. i have stopped using the scrub function on my roborock for that reason. using it only for vacuum
So what's the difference between this and the submarine? doesn't this do less technically?
Maybe good idea to make water Tank be washable in dishwasher? there is a high temperature that kills microbes
👏 wet 👏 mop 👏 on 👏 the 👏 Dyson 👏 360 👏 Vis 👏 Nav 👏 next 👏 please 👏 ❤️
Does the self clean actually clean the rollers so I don’t have to clean them myself ??
The Self-cleaning cycle minimises the amount of manual maintenance needed. We recommend washing the rollers by hand after every third use to ensure they're thoroughly and hygienically clean.
@@dysonok thanks. Also how come with my submarine I was officially told the roller would never need to be replaced however with my G1 I need to replace the rollers every 6 months??
Over time, frequent or heavy use can reduce the performance of the microfibre rollers. With both the Dyson WashG1™ and the Dyson Submarine™ wet roller cleaner head, we recommend replacing the wet roller(s) every 6 months, depending on how often you use your machine, to help maintain cleaning capability.
1:00 am I tripping or is it that right after the machine goes above the dots, nothing happened?
What is the difference between this and the V15 submarine head?
Submarine had hard time picking up large debris, cereals for example. This new design seems to address that issue.
And it has dual brush bars, where as submarine had one, so the cleaning efficiency in one pass should have improved. Think omni glide with water.
Also this seems to have some kind of self-cleaning function, when attached to the charging dock. Submarine was all manual clean.
This actually works (as opposed to that ridiculous submarine thing)
But will the battery last more than 20 minutes?
im going to wait until the g2 comes out
Might as well wait for the g10000 to get all the features but the g10002 is gonna be even better so worth the wait 👌
